So sorry to hear this, sending blessings your way.

Kate, your book A Lesson Before Dying is not on your wheel shelf yet, and you need to assign a task. I found a few that would work for it."
Fixed :)
When a book with other 1000 editions the default is too short which is annoying

Sending virtual hugs your way!

I am checking in with our halfway-into-round-three update.
We are currently sitting at 88 books claimed, and around 4000 points from claimed books (including BOM points and task points, etc).
For context, and those keeping track, round one-4400, round two-5300 points.
So, basically, well done with the kicking of the ass again, team!!!!
Celia, don't worry if you don't have time to read this week. I will read extra, and I am sure others will too.
If anyone wants to join Alissa and I in the reading of Girl, Woman, Other, there is a thread set up, and the book is really good so far. Unusual and good. (Link in message 752).
I'm reading All the Light We Cannot see which is a great but long and intense

I finished

I am finishing up

I had a hard time breathing when I read that book. Too sympathetic maybe. But, it is a good one.

I’ll be able to do some more damage on the sheet this week. Probably not as much as I had so ambitiously planned, but I’m loving A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Idk how I managed to never read it before.

As hard as that must have been, I'm glad your family was able to have extra time with her together, especially during all the uncertainty these days.
I loved a Tree Grows in Brooklyn too - just read it last year - and not sure I hadn't read it before either!

Glad you and the family got to send some time with her. I have been there myself unfortunately and this precious time matters so much.

I think I'm on pace for my audiobooks I planned, I just need to get after my physical reads. I'll be aiming to get them all in as planned, but will let you know by Wednesday-ish my updated plan. I do enjoy having 'deadlines' again for some of my reading though, so I thrive off of this environment :)
Hope everyone had a good weekend of reading or other activities! Anyone reading anything spectacular??

The good part of having people stay over is that I am forced (by me) to clean my house. That bad part is that I am forced to clean my house. I want a house cleaning service. Whine.
I am really enjoying Girl, Woman, Other. And, the KU series that I am on the third book of is very fun in a dystopian kind of silly way.

I finished The Woman in White today while cleaning, cooking and baking, and I liked it, but I think it could have been about 200 pages shorter.

I went for a bike ride to the pub for drinks and lunch with my Hubby. We managed to get some sunshine today for the first time in weeks. It was our first trip out since the UK came out of lockdown, it was a very strange experience!
No spectacular reads at the moment although I am enjoying

For those of you with Audible, they are starting a week long sale, and there are a lot of really good titles on the list. Just FYI.
I just grabbed

I usually listen to audiobooks on walks but this week it's been too hot.
My family has Amazon prime. Any idea where we can get consistently free audiobooks? I have one app but it seems to be mostly classics

Borrowing books from the library for my kindle and for audios is the best thing since sliced bread. Lol!

ISLANDHOPPING
And, the genre tags are-
Ocean
Mermaid/man
Whale
Turtle
Underwater.
The spreadsheet will be up later, but if you want to start planning, feel free.

But, no hard letters to find for us this round, so that's kind of nice.
