@navi I like autobiographies for my nonfiction. I’m currently listening to Ali Wong’s book (but you’ll have to be ok with vulgarity).

@The captain/co-caps, I posted one book on the SS that I wasn't positive about for the task, so I went to TinEye and it came up 49.8% yellow. I went ahead and added it because rounding it up, it is 50% and I don't think we even need to use TinEye. I just wanted to inquire if that task is going to be accepted or if I need a different one. Then I went to look at the line number just now and see one of you already tagged it so I'm assuming one of you is asking in the captains group. Please let me know when you find out. Thanks. :)You guys are doing a fantastic job so far!

I see there are many who has signed up for BOMs (and started participating in the first one, The Jetsetters). It was asked in the captains' group how many DQ (daily questions) one needs to answer in order to get points for participation. The answer was more than half, so at least three days=)When the BOM is done, or you have answered enough DQs, I would appreciate it if you write a message here stating which BOM you've participated in and the number of one of your posts in the BOM thread. This is because we have to add a link to the spreadsheet to one of your posts as "evidence"=)
The BOMs are open a month after they're done, so if you didn't get to read the book right away, you can still answer the questions afterward and get points.
Hey team! Sorry I haven’t checked in - it has been a crazy week. I hadn’t started my book yet and looking at the team spreadsheet it seems like we could use some Os so I will switch to Year One.
Silje wrote: "I see there are many who has signed up for BOMs (and started participating in the first one, The Jetsetters). It was asked in the captains' group how many DQ (daily questions) one needs to answer i..."Hi Silji
I had fun participating in the DQ and the BOM for the first time ever (although the book was so blah and disappointing). My no.
90: 1 to 4
97: 5 to 8
169: 9 to 12
217: 13 - 16
270 : 17 - 20
Question: I wanted to know, even though you have added jetsetters to the Round1 in planning sheet, can I also add it and use a different letter for the task, since it was part of BOM? Not sure if this allowed or not..thought to ask first =)
Have a good weekend ahead!

You can add your book as well, even if I've read it too, that doesn't matter=)

Sorry :) Now done!
Sorry :) Now done!
Finished my first book. Year OneDo I add it to the Team sheet or do the captains take care of it?
I’m starting my original pick The Highwayman too.
For the tasks, are we supposed to try to get a book for each one? Or are repeats ok? Not sure which I should be trying. Also these tags are tough!
Silje, the countdown is when we have to have ALL of our books finished and posted in the planning sheet for round 1, right?
Logan if you could add it to the planning spreadsheet and then either Silje or myself will add it to the main sheetKim I believe it's just one book per task and no repeats but I will double check
Vicki yes that's correct :)
Rajiv we think your book Santiago's Road Home might not be brown enough, it looks more dark orange. But your other book Burn Our Bodies Down might work for brown instead. Would you like us to swap these two around?
How was everybody's weekend? We celebrated my grandmother's 80th birthday and I got a lot of reading done=)
Ashleigh wrote: "Rajiv we think your book Santiago's Road Home might not be brown enough, it looks more dark orange. But your other book Burn Our Bodies Down might work for brown instead. Would you like us to swap ..."No problem Ashleigh =)

LOL :)
LOL :)
I always read more than usual during these challenges because my competitive instinct kicks in=P I might be in over my head this around, though. Hopefully, I will manage to finish The Nightingale, as it is a tag-book, but I'm not sure I'll be able to finish either of the other two I've started reading.
Have you guys had any strategy in mind when reading or choosing your books? In this round, I ended up reading long books with many pages. It gives more points per book, which is good, but they also take longer to read. I also realized it gives fewer task points since I'm reading a lower amount of books.
I'll probably read long books in round two too since I need to finish the series, but it might be fun to do the complete opposite for one round and compare the result=)
For those of you who like to plan books in advance, our word for round 2 is CREATIVITY. We are also the only team who managed to draw the same tag-color two rounds in a row, meaning our tags (flower, lavender, France, battle, and space) remain the same in round 2!Round 2 is added on the team sheet; I will make a copy for our planning sheet as soon as I have a computer nearby.
Still working on my book but also added an audio book yesterday! I don’t know why but I’m in a slump and struggling through this book this time. Trying to push through though because I remember how much I loved the series last time & I want to finish it!
that's so good to know that our tag is the same because i feel like i have been looking up books but it hasn't fit in the my timeline. can't wait for next word to be honest haha.
Rajiv I've moved The Dark Awakening from A to R as the title has to begin with that letter or if it begins with A, An or The, you can use the second word, but unfortunately you can't use it for A.
Ashleigh wrote: "Maritza have you deleted your Wheel shelf? Can't find it in your shelves"No let me check.
Sorry, I fixed it. You should see it again.
Question :)
I was reading the rules and it states no children's books and books must be more than 160 pages to count. I am re-reading through the original Nancy Drew series and the Nancy Drew Case Files series (a book each month). My question is two-fold - one, would they be considered children's books? Two - can I use them? Both come in at 160+ pages each (Kindle editions, which is what I'm reading).

I think they should be okay, the original series is tagged as Young Adult and Middle Grade, not just Children's so I think they're fine.

Thank you Ashleigh! I just wanted to double check ;)

Thanks, I've added the book to the BOM list=)
Zuza, I chose task 60 (1st in series) for Navigating the Stars. Let me know if you want us to switch to 67 which was your other option=)
It appears that The Jetsetters are shelved as "France" by one person, meaning we can use that tag on the book (another team has done it, so I assume it is ok). So we managed 10 tags this round guys!My current audiobook has a tag, so I might delay finishing it till after round 2 has started and focus on finishing one of the other books for this round.
Vicki, can you add a read date to The Heart of Betrayal on your shelf? It comes up with read date as "not set"=)And which edition is it you've read? Because the hardcover is on your shelf (473), you've reviewed the kindle (480), and you've written an edition with 470 pages on the sheet:P

I see what happened. I had duplicate books. I hate when that happens and I'm not always sure how. I had the one book marked only for Wheel, and I guess that's the one you saw. Anyway I deleted that one so we should be good now.
