Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12884 comments Well, we're in the final week... we need all the extra reading inspiration we can get, lol.

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments The world is a dark scary space at the moment... I'm struggling with Ty & Zane... one of my favorite books... full of steamy scenes... and I'm... meh...

I blame all the Z snatchers... just saying!!!

Speaking of Zs... Dear captains, Alison's Cut&Run can be used for U if needed :)

Very good to know, thanks Sonia ;)

There's still some free Zs if you need 'em ;) And I'm hoping to do a U after I finish this one... running out of Is though, lol.

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments The pictures are definitely helpful for reading. Just imagining sitting by the beach while the handsome men come to bring you drink to cool you down. Lol 😉

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments I was doing a Kate Daniels re-read before wheels started. I still have 2 KDs and Hugh's book, so I can read those.

I'm pretty sure I can't be the only one recommending the series. Plus, I have the Urban Fantasy MPG tag free

I'm a bit upset with the Ty & Zane burn out, but it might be my dark mood coating everything.... kinda like the shadows in Kingdom Hearts

Yup, that one was just for you!

message 1458: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12884 comments Sounds good! (but the burn out not so much!)

I requested an extra word on the sheet again, because the way we're going we'll smash it again, lol.

Although after 5 Qs, I'm all tapped out. If y'all want to complete anything else, someone will have to find a Q or two from somewhere :P

Glad the pictures are helping. The real thing would be even better though... I could free up so much reading time if I got Christian Kane to come do my cooking for me. (on the other hand, chances of concentrating on said reading would drop to somewhere below zero, lol!)

Yes, I would be way distracted.
But Christian would be welcome to give me a shoulder rub to help me relax anytime.
Oh, and the cooking, I am totally good with that also.
...and well yeah, whatever he wants is likely ok by me.

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 949 comments Oh, and I think I might have a Q book.

When is our deadline for this final round? Too many group challenegs with diferent days and time zones are muddling my brain.

message 1461: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12884 comments Deadline is Friday (10pm UK time, not sure what your timezone is!)

Ideally it would help if folk could post their books an hour before the round ends so we have time to move them over, but I for one will be right here during the final hour, so we'll get any last-minute additions included :)

And it has tigers and sexy closet times... let's see how it goes.

Hope it's gonna be awesome! :D

message 1476: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Well, the book is good.. at least from the (on the record) 7 times I read it before it was..

considering armed & dangerous was read 9 times, I'm pretty sure the number 7 is not accurate.

Specially because I know that it was my go to book when I was feeling down.

message 1477: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12884 comments Yeah, according to GR I've read Kushiel's Dart 3 times... In reality I'm probably closer to 10. I can recite entire pages of the darned thing, lol.

How about: I hope you enjoy it as much as you usually do! ;)

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments There’s a Q in Linda’s book that she placed in G which Plethora can place her book. I placed a book in the Q. I have another book that can fit the next Q but I’ll hold out for now

I just finished another I. Off to start a U next :)

message 1483: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12884 comments I should have time for one more after that before the challenge ends, but I'll wait to see what we still need when I get there. Should be able to manage anything but Q :)

message 1484: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments I'm 51% on my Ty&Zane book. I wanted to get into Touch & Geaux before the challenge ends, but I'm starting to doubt it at this point

No worries. I actually need my Q for a challenge so you can be free to read what you need ☺ I hope its something good 😉

We might have an extra Q but let's see how things go. I'll be able to finish my books on the SS since I have another lovely rainy day ☺

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 949 comments Thanks Carmen

I am re-reading Turn Coat Harry Dresden #11, because I want stuff to be fresh when I read the newest book Peace Talks #16. I should get it from the library shortly, so I have got a few more to get thru before then. 🤓

Wow, rain without thousand of lightning strikes would be very welcome out here this week.
Sadly we just seem to get more heat, heat spawned lighting storms, firenadoes, more fires and smoke.
😟😢🙁😠😷
*ugh*

Oh no! That's terrible. I hope you get lots and lots of rain to stench the fires.

Peace Talks was good, but it was obvious Peace Talks and Battle Ground were split into two books, because this one felt unfinished. Can't wait for Battle Ground!

Ok, good to know. I eather heard that about it being split from an early review or interview, because that does not surprise me at all. I also think that was why they are being published in such quick succession. Because as we all know that does not happen too often. The publishers milk all they can for at least six months before they publish another. 😐🤔🙃

Now... Should I try to tackle touch & geaux... Or call it done. We still have almost two days left....

Decisions decisions...

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12884 comments We're fast coming up to the end of our trip, so we've whooshed across the pond and are back in London for another re-stock before we head back north towards Hogwarts.
Luckily there are still plenty of sights to see in London...

Now I shall go curl up in my cabin with the chef my book, as it's loooong past my bedtime, lol.
