Done! Sorry about that. :)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Good Morning Team Deathly!!!

*snickers*

It's all Cat's fault, just saying

Anyway, I did something weird last night... I went to sleep without a book. Sure, I already have read 2 during the day (they were under 200 pages each, so no special event), but even so, I felt it odd... must be the heat,

Temps today are cooler... weather says we're only going to reach 28 ºC *rolls eyes*

I wanted to read one more for this round, but have no clue what to read. I usually go for adult Urban Fantasy or smutty MM Romance.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

don't have much in the way of recommendations, but if you happen to have one with a X, V or I, N, that would be awesome, lol!

message 604: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Lemme check what I got

message 605: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Oh and you can always use Artemis Fowl for V or X.... it's currently being used for a S. I think it was the reason I forced myself to listening to it on the first place, because it fit almost all letters.

message 606: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12880 comments Yeah, we'll shuffle things around as needed if it comes to it. we're close to having everything we need though, so that's something at least :)

message 607: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12880 comments UGH! I've only 27 pages left in my book, but can't bring myself to finish it right now.
I think it says all it needs to that right now I think I'd rather go clean something than finish reading this book, lol.

message 608: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Okay, so, got a X book that works also for N, and since Xavier Mayne's books usually are quick reads, I also have some Piper Vaughn's on the waiting list if needed.

*waves bye*

Yeah, I know the feeling.

Have fun!

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Sammy, thank you. If you didn't suggest the letters, I wouldn't find this book. And it's so sweet... I am loving it

Yay! so glad!

And I finally finished Raft. as soon as I'm done with my happy dance I'm finding a cozy corner with Mr King.

message 614: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12880 comments I can't decide if this is blue or green... Lisey's Story by Stephen King

It's apparently 55.8% of whichever colour it is (the evil site that shall not be named calls it blue, but I'm not convinced, lol).

message 615: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments That's turquoise...or teal...or cyan...or whatever

LOL

message 616: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12880 comments Yeah, which is blue to some people and green to others and I am completely and utterly unable to commit to either, lol.

message 617: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Yeah, I get your point. I usually pick a different category to fit those kinds of books... because colour is... not something I can deal with

message 618: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12880 comments Yeah, I was starting to lean that way too. I figured I'm only going to read around 40 out of 200 possible books, so it's not like I'll be desperate to fill stuff :)

A girl after my own heart

message 620: by Rokkan (new)

Rokkan (rokk) | 191 comments I managed to finish The Black Book. It's... not exactly awful, just not my cup of iced tea.

Also managed to whizz through White Silence by Jodi Taylor - much more my kind of book! Unfortunately not a book that fits with X, V, I or N but... I might be able to find a short book to help there.

It looks more green to me. If that helps

No worries. We can always switch a book that can cover it and use your book in its place ☺

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Random question but does anyone know of a book that celebrates World Ocean Day?

message 626: by Plethora (new)

Plethora (bookworm_r) | 2239 comments I'm one of those that leans towards it being green, but my daughter always calls that blue. So that is just one of those colors for sure that goes back and forth.

Sometimes I think it also depends on what you but it next to since it will bring out the blue or green shades more.

And yes that site is EVIL..lol

Also have to be over 200 pages. They just have to mention celebrating World Ocean Day in the text.

We both have that task and somehow ideally we need two different books that we actually need to read in the next 6 days..lol
we both have actually basically written off being able to fulfill this task.

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Hahahaha yup it's just challenging task that I've never heard of but I guess it's a first for everything 😉

Eni | 2349 comments I have a bone to pick with you guys!!! You have a cheating member!!!!!
She claimed she was oh so tired... She claimed she didn't have time to read, only during weekends!!!! She signed up for 5 books a month!!!! However, she's been sneakily reading at work, stays up late to ungodly hours (she usually is asleep by 11pm but lately she's been reading until 1 or 2am) and she's read 12 books. 12!!!!!!

*Throws rotten tomatoes at Sonia*

Shame on you for making me think I could read at least as much as you during this challenge!!! You suck!!!

(Just for those who don't get that I'm joking. This post is purely for fun. Sonia's my sister and she is not cheating.)

I think all mine, except my current read, are set, with shelf, read, and tags.

I don't think it's hate. I think it's just... the obligation ruined it for her. Too much pressure LOL

And yet we still kicked some serious backside during that challenge. ;)

I can only imagine what we'll do with Sonia at full reading strength, lol.

Alison (Lady Coffin) S | 949 comments So, question

Do we have a countdown clock to the end of the round?
I have completely lost track of when stuff is due. Today? Tomorrow? Did not see one in the rules thread or first page of this one.

message 637: by Plethora (new)

Plethora (bookworm_r) | 2239 comments I meant to post, but I wanted to change the official one before I posted because the official timer is when we cappies have to have the spreadsheet done. Not when your reading is to end, so I was going to move it back about an hour.

It is Friday though so plenty of time for 5 more books by Sonia.

Ok Friday, got it.
Do I remember correctly it is something like 5pm Eastern? 2pm Pacific?

message 639: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12880 comments Good evening ladies and gentlemen, we hope you are all enjoying your journey so far. just a reminder that the buffet cart is fully stocked and our excellent staff is eager to help you enjoy your journey to the fullest.

Now I know we were nearing Hogwarts, but we figured it was far too soon for this trip to be over, so we've decided to go on another little detour, and as you can see we are just passing through the Channel Islands (In fact, I suspect our latest stowaway may have knocked us off course in this particular direction...). Just coming up on our left is Jersey, well known for its beaches and magnificently built castles...

I hope you'll all enjoy the view, and don't mind the delayed arrival at Hogwarts too much... ;)

lol!
Not that I know for sure, but just suspect, he will gladly accept a fever for this view.
I know I am not minding.

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 495 comments Alright. I think that is it for me for this round. I am working on an E title but it is unlikely I will finish it by this time tomorrow.

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Hi Eni! *waves* It’s been quite awhile since I’ve see the two sisters bantering. I miss those moments. Hahaha

Hi Steven. Glad you’re well and feeling better

Hi Carmen! *Waves back* she still hasn't seen this lol xD but she had a headache today and she ended up going to sleep earlier. I may try to misplace her kindle tomorrow! But she can also read on her phone...and she needs her phone to work 🤔🤔🤔

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Aww sorry she has a headache. Those aren't fun. I hate those for sure but Eni I think you may have a problem with trying to get her to slow down reading. Hahahaha

message 648: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments First of all, I didn't signed for 5 books a month, it was 10.

But if it is so important to you, sure, I'll slow down the number of books.... I just need to pick 600 pages books instead of 200 ones.

message 649: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments And BTW, touch my kindle and I *will* hurt you.

I have Five Rivers Met on a Wooded Plain as an N book. I should be able to finish it - the first few pages are beautifully written and easy to get into - but you can switch it out for Five Feet Apart for the certain word completion points.
