[[ Frankie ]] (freedbyfiction) | 536 comments I got too much going on, my mind isn’t working right. I’m so, so sorry! I was sure I had made the deadline. Geez. *rolls eyes at self*

message 503: by [[ Frankie ]] (new)

[[ Frankie ]] (freedbyfiction) | 536 comments At least we can use it for the next one, so that’s a plus! I’ll go back & add the letters it can be used for.

Thank you so much - I can remember that time a lot easier (plus set an alarm for this on my calendar each round!)

message 505: by Laura (new)

Laura | 5524 comments I’ve had times where I’ve stared at a countdown trying to figure out if I had missed it or not, because I couldn’t figure out if it was counting up or down! :)

message 506: by Laura (new)

Laura | 5524 comments I thought that might be easier to translate to your time zone than 10:00 pm London time. :)

Alysa H. | 3840 comments I remember reading somewhere a while ago that it's okay to use The Sun Down Motel for the task "Set in a Hotel" -- yes? Motel/Hotel/Inn are being treated as equivalent here?

Laura | 5524 comments Yes, Alysa.

I put it down for 118, multiple points of view. You've already used the title in title with Gypsy King. :)

Letters it works for would help in your completion posts. I can easily get title/series/author, but I don't know the characters! :)

I put it down for the two timelines. I'm not sure it works for text only, because it does have the brick wall on there.

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Hey! Stacie from Team Odyssey with a request. Can anyone recommend a romance with a Midsummer ball in it that isn't Secrets of a Summer Night (Wallflowers, #1) by Lisa Kleypas ? I love that book but looking for something new if possible. Thanks!!

I hate trying to decide if I want to find a new book for a task, or just push through the one I'm part way through when I want to DNF.

Which book?

message 532: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (robyn_r) | 88 comments I guess I will push through it even though I am getting more and more aggravated, but I'm more than halfway through so I may as well finish it.

Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult

I usually love Jodi Picoult but this book has me wanting to throw it across the room, but that would mean I would probably break my kindle lol

I agree! I haven’t been around much the last couple weeks, but y’all are KILLIN’ IT! I went to see if we needed a Q & discovered most were covered already. Y’all are awesome. :p

message 537: by [[ Frankie ]] (new)

[[ Frankie ]] (freedbyfiction) | 536 comments Sorry to hear you’re not enjoying your book, Robyn. I very rarely DNF books, but there are always those few that I just CANNOT finish. & I dunno why, but even then, I feel terrible for it. LOL.

[[ Frankie ]] (freedbyfiction) | 536 comments My book works for U, A, E, or B - but since I had a space saved for me for the E already, I’ll use it for that. But feel free to move it wherever it fits best, of course. :p

message 539: by [[ Frankie ]] (new)

[[ Frankie ]] (freedbyfiction) | 536 comments U is probably harder than the E. But I’ll let y’all move it, if we need to.

I am the same I very very rarely DNF a book. I managed to get through this one though and finish it last night. The second half wasn't as terrible. I mean the writing is great just lots of in your face stereotypes.

Geri Robyn wrote: "I managed to get through this one though and finish it last night."

Glad you were able to finish! I have to admit when I’m NOT in a team challenge, I will dnf a book more often if I am struggling. I just finished one yesterday I would have stopped reading if I could. But I’m in full challenge mode right now and I am just powerIng through!

I powered through as well as I was going to use this book for this challenge as well as another one. The second half I guess got better, but the first geez what a struggle.
