Giulia | 105 comments I just finished up Hanover House (Hanover House Chronicles, #0.5) by Brenda Novak which was a quick read, but it packed a lot in. I'm revved up for this series now.

I finished a couple of books since my last message.

Falling for Her Enemy by Victoria James, Still Harbor #2, was a sweet and poignant story. Here's my review.

A Pirate for Christmas by Anna Campbell was, in a word, fabulous! Here's my review.

I'm now reading Rescuing the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon and the hero already has a big hole to dig out of. I put him in the anti-hottie harem while reading the prologue. This isn't going to be a fun ride.

Yay Namita! Enjoy! Can't wait for you to get through it & Immortal to discuss.

Namita (-namita) | 209 comments It was a great read. I didn't like Roarke at first but now I do. Eve is still my fave. Don't know why. Lol

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11211 comments Mod
There is so much to learn about both of them, Namz. Immortal is important for many reasons (as is each book) - most especially relationship development. I wish our group Buddy Read was started now as this is a great series for reading & discussing together.

me too, Sheri...one a month. I'd binge read it if I didn't have so many other series going at the same time - and all of them are so good!

You'll love it. I wanted to do a reread of the first 6 books before this current one came out but didn't have the time. I might have to do it next year. Love this series.

I finished listening to Defending Hearts by Shannon Stacey, Boys of Fall #3. It was just okay but I don't know if it was because of the narrator (felt like she was just reading) or the story. Review to come.

I'm now listening to The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith, Cormoran Strike #2.

I haven't Maggie. Although I'm intrigued by the title! lol Do you dislike the series or just this book?

message 1792: by Maggie (new)

Maggie | 1576 comments It's the bad boys I dislike Sandra; they aren't bad boys, they are bad guys. They treat the women they are in love with badly and talk horribly to them. I love a good bad boy character, but these characters I found to just be mean, I didn't find anything likable about them. The only slight exception to that is Tony from book 1, he was the least mean to his woman. Just not books for me.

I love a "badboy" too...but not what you're describing. It's one thing to be an "alpha male" but quite another to just be mean.
