I've just finished One Night with You (Fatal, #0.5) by Marie Force and just loved this novella. Plan to start Fatal Affair (Fatal, #1) by Marie Force next.

Yes, I am! I am only an hour and a half in but am loving the serial killer storyline and the FBI.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I just finished reading Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

The novel is immensely readable. However, it is not the best novel on the subject of World War One (The Great War) I have ever read.

If you only read one novel set during the War To End All Wars, may I suggest you read A Long Long Way by Sebastian Barry instead.

I've been out of town since last Wednesday but I have been reading!

I finished listening to Under My Skin by J. Kenner, final book in the Stark International trilogy, and I very much enjoyed it. First time I was able to speed up the performance in the updated iTunes and it made a huge difference. Nice end to the series.

I finished Training Complex by Leta Blake, follow up to the first book, Training Season. I struggled to get through this book as it dealt with two topics that don't appeal to me: eating disorders and true BDSM relationships. If you're a fan of m/m Dom/sub romances, this story would be an excellent choice as it not only explores the dynamics of those relationships but overlays the impact of one partner's association with eating disorders or disordered eating. Interesting but just not my interest.

I read Malice, the new prequel in the Southern Comfort series by Lisa Clark O'Neill. Loved it as it dealt with one of the Wellington brothers who appears in small roles throughout the series. It was nice getting his backstory. Highly recommend it as well as the excellent series. For those who haven't started it, you can begin here.

Lastly, I finished reading Hear No Lies by Stacy Green, a new prequel to the Lucy Kendall series. It was excellent and I finished it during the ride home yesterday. I'm even more conflicted about this character. Not sure if it's best to start here or read the books in the series first. It shouldn't matter.

I'll have reviews for all later.

I'm now reading The Seduction of Lord Stone by Anna Campbell, the first book in her new Dashing Widows series. It is connected to her Sons of Sins series and will be a series of novellas. I'm also listening to Fractured by Karin Slaughter, Will Trent #2.

Under My Skin (Stark International Trilogy, #3) by J. I enjoyed both, Sheri. Not horribly graphic like Slaughter or Rose, but I really enjoyed the romance & there is also a good, intriguing murder case/s going on.

Just finished Badger by C.M. McKenna by C.M. McKenna - probably the most heartbreaking story with the most flawed characters I've ever read...totally unique. I'll try to review it in a few days.

Also just finished Fisher's Light by Tara Sivec - I enjoyed it although it's a little predictable to me. Good for those who love second chance romances.

Sheri Morell (smorell22) | 2165 comments Ok I finished listening to Fatal Affair (Fatal, #1) by Marie Force and loved it. I have had this on my to read list for a while and wish I hadn't waited so long to start it. I love Sam and Nick. Sam reminds me a lot of Eve. Now to figure out what to read next.

DKT (dkt13) Mudbug Book 2 Mischief in Mudbug (Ghost-in-Law, #2) by Jana Deleon . I never expected to enjoy these as much as the Miss Fortune Series, but so far soooo good!

Great day for reading. Raining out mid 60's such a nice break from 100% humidity mid 90's! So I cut a deal with myself ~ reorganize my closet & get everything back into the shape it slid from & then me time!

Dying to get back into Virgin River Series, it's a group read and I think they group needs to read one more to get to the book I am on. I also have 2 books sitting from the The Mill River Recluse by Darcie Chan series. When I read book 1 I didn't realize there would be more. She kind of busted out of the chute and shot straight up the charts. So these await and if they are half as good as the first she wrote they should be amazing: The Mill River Redemption by Darcie Chan The Promise of Home A Mill River Novel by Darcie Chan

Enjoy the day ~ Dust Bunnies are onto me I need to get at them before they relocate!

I finished The Seduction of Lord Stone by Anna Campbell and enjoyed it, looking forward to the next two books in this novella series.

I also finished listening to Fractured by Karin Slaughter and it was great being back to Will Trent. Of course, I'm dying to jump right into the next book but....

I finished Everything I Left Unsaid by Molly O'Keefe, a truly extraordinary piece of writing. I was warned by O'Keefe that it ends with a cliffhanger so I thought I'd just read a little of the next book but I find myself already at 25% so I think I'll just continue until the end with The Truth About Him.

I'm also listening to Under the Lights by Shannon Stacey.

Courtney (sekay88) Have been catching up/ finishing up various series from Robyn Carr and Marie Force, but fit in two terrific UF books that I highly recommend:
Archangel's Enigma, #8 in Nalini Singh's great Guild Hunter series. Never a let down in this series and that applies here. What a great world and series of characters she has built. Also finished the first in Kim Harrison's new Peri Reed Chronicles, The Drafter. Outstanding start for a new series. Couldn't put it down.
