Love them. I especially love the spin off from the regular series
I finished
. My rating is maybe 3.5, or maybe 4. I need to let this story "settle" before reviewing it. As normal with Ward, there are several storylines going in this one which I love. At times, it was intense & I was really into it but then, at other times, it seemed a little over the top to me. There are questions left unanswered but it's not a cliffhanger ending. I think one thing bothering me is that I didn't make a complete connection with the H/h...just never felt enough empathy or something. Hmmm...maybe I am ready to write a review! lol!

FINALLY got
from the library (Jane Yellowrock #4). The JY books are among the best plotted in the genre imo. This one did not disappoint. To take advantage of a great Marie Force contest with her new McCarthy's of Gansett Island release tomorrow, am now crash reading
and
to be caught up. Two palate cleansers back-to-back... almost a first. And then... the new Kate Daniels (Ilona Andrews) and Lucy Kincaid (Allison Brennan) are also out tomorrow. Such pressure! Haha.
Thanks for that feedback, Sandra. I have the audiobook so I'll be listening either this month or next.

I enjoyed the audiobook version as the Southern Aristocrat attitude comes through. I enjoyed the book but it felt a little too soap operaish in a way. Reminded me of "Dallas".

While I'm here...
I'm on a road trip, listening to two books (one while my niece sleeps). We're listening to The Lost Girls: The True Story of the Cleveland Abductions and the Incredible Rescue of Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus by John Glatt, that truly awful story. It's riveting and we couldn't believe our trip was over as we were caught up in the story.
I'm listening to Manwhore +1 by Katy Evans when my niece drops off:) Got about ten minutes in so far:)

You know I never even considered reading The Lost Girls, which in itself is amazing as I live and work in Cleveland. So, I'm going to assume you would recommend it??

Absolutely though we're not done yet. You know how there were some who asserted the system let them down? You learn why in a very exacting way.

You should sign up for Christy's newsletter. Here's what I put on my series list for later in the year (the last one might be in 2016):
Running Scared #3
Running Wild #4

Currently reading No Time for Goodbye and not sure about it yet. I just started it this morning so not that far into it but it seems as if it is in 3Rd person.

I was actually wondering if i need to read the other books and you answered my question. It sounds like it's going to be a miss. Thanks.
finished listening to Thankless In Death. so many awesome. scenes in this book. and the scene where gives Eve her gift is priceless. brings tears to my eyes every time.
I finished Against the Dark by Carolyn Crane, The Associates #1, and really liked the author's style in crafting this style story. It was also a Kindle freebie! Here's my review.
I also finished listening to Manwhore +1 by Katy Evans, Manwhore #2. This is a case where two books were unnecessary and the story could have been told in one. Here's my review.
I'm now reading If You Only Knew by Kristan Higgins and listening to The Secret Sister by Brenda Novak.
