I know and I enjoyed it, though there are many tepid reviews.

I know...I enjoyed it myself. I saw growth in the characters & am intrigued to get answers to some of the questions raised.
Just finished reading
. In the beginning I was not sure about but as I continued to listen it slowly started to grow on me by the end i was hooked.

The next book is even better.

Just finished reading
and must say I think this one was my favorite so far. Ready to start
but disappointed that my library doesn't have it and neither does overdrive.
I want to continue that series with book 2, Sheri, but just haven't had time. I wasn't blown away by book 1 but felt it had good potential.

I wasn't blown away by book 1 but felt it had good potential."I felt the same way about the first book. Each book seems to get better. Still not loving the cases but love the interaction between and J.J. and Jack. The third book was the best so far as a whole. I may have to put the fourth one on hold for right now though. neither my library or overdrive has it. I don't really want to pay $5 for it on amazon.
I finished reading Ignited by Kaylea Cross yesterday and really liked this first book in the Titanium Security series. The author writes exciting op situations very similar to Suzanne Brockmann and the ending was just harrowing. While this phase of the story came to a conclusion, there is a continuing story arc (no cliffhanger). I'm very much looking forward to continuing the series. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Sweet Reward by Christy Reece, Last Chance Rescue #9. I wasn't looking forward to the story but must say, three chapters in...I'm interested:)

Just finished reading The Cuckoo's Calling
by Robert Galbraithhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am reading Visions in Death
. I love Eve in this one. She is pretty funny and I have to say how much I am enjoying the new Detective Peabody. She is getting sharp in performing her job. WOW.
Paula, you'll love Peabody more & more with every book...she is one of my favorite characters now.

I love her capacity to calm a situation when she senses something amiss with Eve. I also love the car situation and how she handled it in Visions in Death. Still reading and loving it.

I'm not feeling any of those. Maybe Zooey... I don't know how I picture her. She is the hardest for me.

From the moment Peabody was described (square jaw, black blunt cut hair), Tina Majorino popped in my head and she's been my Peabody since. I know she's a tough character to visualize so I'm happy she works for me.
My toughest one has always been McNab!

Finished listening to House Rules by Chloe Neill, Chicagoland Vampires #7, a couple of weeks ago and here's my review.

It also says she is curvy - a lot of actresses just are NOT.

That's a good one! I'll add it to the gallery. Is that Zooey?

Just finished listening to Whiskey Sour. I did enjoy it. Now to try to finish a couple of other series. Gonna start reading The Dying Room: A Faces of Evil Novel. Also need to start on Die Again.
Finished what I borrowed of lucky harbor. Started the animal magnetism series by Jill shalvis. Not as good as lucky harbor, but still a fun series 2 books in:
- interesting because it was different, but also very strange. Don't know if I'll end up picking up more in this series.

I finished Sweet Revenge by Christy Reece, Last Chance Rescue #8, last week and here's my review.
I also finished the next book in the series, Sweet Reward and was pleasantly surprised as I hadn't looked forward to it. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Gone To Die by Stacy Green, Lucy Kendall #3.

Finished reading the Dying Room and really enjoyed this one. a little sad that I am done with Faces of Evil Series. Has anyone heard whether or not there will be another coming out? Now I need to figure out which book to start next. lots of options.
Sandra ~ ♥ Cross My Heart ♥ wrote: "Congrats on finishing Faces of Evil, Sheri. I really want to work that series in soon."I think you will really enjoy it Sandra. I am feeling a little sad that it is over. I haven't seen anything yet that says it might continue. The way The Dying Room ended it could go either way.
That's interesting - that the ending could go either way. Maybe that means there's a chance there will be another one! :)
Sandra ~ ♥ Cross My Heart ♥ wrote: "That's interesting - that the ending could go either way. Maybe that means there's a chance there will be another one! :)"That is my hope. I really love Jess and Dan. Most of the books were edge of your seat intense suspense from beginning to end.
I finished Gone To Die by Stacy Green, Lucy Kendall #3, and loved it, 4.5 stars! I'm just hoping it's not the last book in the series. Here's my review.
Following a beta read for one of my favorite authors (Reese Ryan), I'm going to finally finish the Night Huntress series with Up From the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. I've put it off long enough and I can't read Vlad's latest book until I read this one.
