Thanks for the question.
I would (and have) PM an author about any typos. You can do this by going to their profile page and clicking on the downward pointing arrow next to the follow button. Choose send message. A warning will come up about authors contacting readers but as we are all in this group and expect communication you can ignore that.
How I have approached this before is to say "I have spotted several typos for example... would you like me to message you with any I find" - that is if you have made notes you are happy to share. I would also suggest (and I recommend this to everyone) that an author listens to their book - as in get the computer to read it. The latest version of Word has a Read Aloud option under the Review tab. It really helps in picking up those pesky 'an' not 'a' typos, oft repeated words AND long sentences. If the author responds and wants more help if you have it, then great. If you get no response then just leave it at that.
What you do about that on your review is up to you. If there are a lot, you might want to comment on it. Many reviews I've seen in this group mention that. However, if you get a favourable response to your message and the author says they will be updating their book, you might prefer to leave that off.

I. for one, LOVE it when reviewers give me a list of "to do" items without pressure to make changes. It's like a beta read without the expenses, and of course, it's not as rigorous, but for some authors, it's really helpful and welcome given there's no fee paid.Thank you!
I also love the feedback. I am awful at grammar and rely on editors, so I never know if they missed something unless it's pointed out. I am always super grateful and make typo corrections to the MS ASAP. <3
I would also deeply appreciate notification of any typo. I had my novel copy-edited and combed through it with ProWriting Aid, but I swear, every time I correct a typo, I manage to insert a new error elsewhere. It's like whack a mole. Thanks Trish for directions to the contact button. I'd have never found it on my own.

These reads were farther out of my 'readership' so I put myself in the frame of mind with Tainted Waters and reviewed as a dark paranormal reader looking for the features of that genre. With Zombie Walkabout, I may be looking at that one from a totally out-of-the-ballpark perspective, but still found a lot to appreciate. Cheers

Don't worry about others reading faster. Some people just read fast and others want to get on to another round as quickly as possible to get more reviews for their books.

Hi, I just wanted to mention that many people read all four books very quickly and move off to another group when available. Don't panic if you are a slower reader (like me) or a newbie wondering what the heck is going on when there are three weeks before the first review is due.
The last review is not due until August, I will be hanging around until then, so don't feel rushed. Go at the pace that is right for you.
