I didn't find "The Florence Nightingale of the Southern Army" that easy to read. So now I am reading "War Brides by Helen Bryan. It's about the difficulties that woman faced during WWII in England. Not the genre that I normally read, but this has turned out to be a very good book.
That's too bad it didn't work for you Sandy. But at least you have scored on some good ones in 2014 :)
I have read the following so far for this year.
Sisters of the Confederacy, by Lauraine Snelling
Glimmer of Change, by Ginny Dye
Belle of Charleston, by Jerri Hines
Shadows of Magnolia, by Jerri Hines (This is a great series)
The Grand Masquerade, by Amanda Hughes
Doctor in Petticoats, by Mary Connealy
Westward Bound, by Linda Bridey
Westward Dance, by Linda Bridey

Wow Sandy, if you are doing a 2015 challenge you are way ahead of me! Nice collection of reads there. Did you enjoy them all?

I'm just starting to feel better and have only picked up my kindle a couple times and only managed to read a chapter or two.
I'm going to fall behind my challenge if I don't start reading where I left off. I'm trying to read Captive Passions by Fern Michaels but there isn't much going on between H&H yet!
I have a couple of JH books in that series to read next Sandi

I just finished "The Whistle Walk" by Stephenia H. McGee. A wonderful story line of the strength of the women during the Civil War. A very enjoyable book.

Sorry to hear about your mom Tracyk :( Hope things are better now? It is hard to concentrate on reading when other things are going on in your life for sure.

The Tiger Lily by Shirlee Busbee. I picked up a dead tree copy a couple of years ago, and the tiny font has scared me away. Finally picked up a Kindle copy when it was $.99.
I received a free copy of "Seven Sisters" by M.L. Bullock. It not a complete story place in our favorite era, but it's a about a Historian that had been hired to help restore an old Victorian that was built in 1820. She is a "dream catcher" meaning she sees history in her dreams. Very interesting storyline and it had me hooked. Bought the sequel "Moonlight Falls on Seven Sister". Now I am ready for the next book dated top be released around 3/1. Also just finished "Plantation Nation" by Mercedes King. Had a hard time putting this one down. It's about a young woman that volunteers and joins the Union Army even though she was raised on a Plantation in South Carolina. Very good book and there is an opening for a sequel if the author will just takes it.
Currently as of this date, I am now reading, Beloved..In Another Time, Another Place, Book 1: The Prophecy by Annabelle Blythe. It involves time travel from 1980 to 1864. The book is a little hokie as the main characters are in their 20's but act like young teenagers sometimes. Really not the actions of women for their ages. Interesting story line and pretty well researched for the battles that are involved. It's not an expense ebook, so what I paid for it, it's been well with it for the entertainment.

Im finding the older books harder to read now because the font used in most were so teeny-tiny (cant be aged eyes)
If I really must have it, III use drug store glasses :)
