Read Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) by Jenn Bennett ; Listening to Burn for Me (Hidden Legacy, #1) by Ilona Andrews and reading Alaska, With Love (Assassin/Shifter, #2) by Sandrine Gasq-Dion

Next: too many choices from BR, so I will play it by ear

Please let me know how Say yes turns out. I didn't enjoy book 1, and I suspect that Tessa Dare doesn't get me going in HRs. But I may try book 2 because I found it's the book's characters not the writing for Sarah MacLean. So I need to figure out if it's Tessa Dare's characters or her writing style

So far I love it. I would suggest her Spindle Cove series. A Night to Surrender (Spindle Cove, #1) by Tessa Dare , however I think the first chapter is the funniest she has written and you get introduced to Colin, who has his own story in A Week to Be Wicked (Spindle Cove, #2) by Tessa Dare .
A night to Surrender Chapter 1

K~Terror (k-terror) | 4537 comments Just finished my first book for 2015 which was a fabulous book (and I don't usually don't care to read much SciFi)!
The Martian by Andy Weir

I'm currently reading these for buddy-reads:
Warrior's Cross by Madeleine Urban A Modern Witch (A Modern Witch, #1) by Debora Geary

And reading this one just because I want to:
Then Came You (Gamblers, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

And reading this one when I have 'sit-down' time with my kindle:
Veiled Threat (Rylee Adamson, #7) by Shannon Mayer

Next up SS Team Read & Buddy-Reads:
Gunmetal Magic (Kate Daniels, #5.5) by Ilona Andrews Rosemary and Rue (October Daye #1) by Seanan McGuire The Rosie Effect (Don Tillman #2) by Graeme Simsion Ruin (Ruin, #1) by Rachel Van Dyken
So, ya, I'm pretty much all over the place

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 2457 comments Me Before You by Jojo Moyes Me Before You by Jojo Moyes – 4****
This was not the light, fluffy chick-lit romance I thought it would be. Rather, it is a wonderful, complex and compelling story of two very different people who meet in extraordinary circumstances and deeply affect one another over a period of six months. I did wonder if the title would be better reversed - YOU before ME. The audiobook is narrated by a team of voice artists, each taking on the perspective of a different character.

Ora (oeamis) Finished Say Yes to the Marquess (Castles Ever After, #2) by Tessa Dare 4 stars. I love Tessa Dare's books. This series is a little different from her other in that the characters aren't related or have any type of connectins other than inheriting a castle. So if you read them out of order, your not missing anything.
I love TD's humor she always puts in her books. I really liked Clio and Rafe's interaction, along with Rafe's protectiveness wit Clio.

How did Running Barefoot compare to A Different Blue and Making Faces? I liked A Different Blue but loved Making Faces. Both books filled with so much angst, very feeling books.

PS - Really enjoyed Bold Tricks (Surprised?) - but not as much as EIT :D

A Modern Witch (A Modern Witch, #1) by Debora Geary Rosemary and Rue (October Daye #1) by Seanan McGuire -> both Meh

LOVED Making faces.

Running Barefoot was very similar in style to A different Blue. It never hit a super high. Like in Making faces (view spoiler), nothing that dramatic happened in running barefoot.

I did go ahead and bought her new one The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon

I can see that.. I have the first 2 or 3 so I will probably try a couple more to see if it improves... She doesn't seem to have much personality and this book is mostly doling out information.. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of fae after all.

V - I read The Opportunist and was sucked into the story although I didn't really care for the MC. (Which is unusual for me to like a story w/o liking the MC.).

I'm looking forward to reading Never Never and need to read some more Amy Harmon. 2015 Resolutions. :D

you really need to read the next two. They come as a package. it's a good trilogy. but it is not a typical HEA - which I actually like more often than straight HEA's.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 2457 comments 1984 by George Orwell 1984 by George Orwell – 4****
Classic dystopian science fiction, written in 1948 and imagining a totalitarian society where Big Brother watches your every move and the ruling party controls all information. The thing that I find most frightening about this world that Orwell created is how very plausible it is. I couldn’t help but think of current events – torture, “Newspeak,” wars, video cameras on every corner, texting and hackers no longer respecting anyone’s privacy. Frank Muller does a fine job narrating the audiobook. The scenes where Winston is being re-educated gave me goose bumps.

Didn't plan on it, I love Sophie Jordan and was really surprised on how much I like Uninvited (Uninvited, #1) by Sophie Jordan and after reading a book B2B review about Facing the Music (Rosewood, #1) by Andrea Laurence about if size really matters, I wanted to read it. So far it's funny and light. After the last two books being a little on the darker side, it's just what the doctor ordered.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 2457 comments Leeway Cottage by Beth Gutcheon Leeway Cottage by Beth Gutcheon– 4****
I really enjoyed this look at a marriage through the eyes of two very different people. The story covers several decades, though much of the action is concentrated during the World War II era. Gutcheon uses multiple points of view and moves back and forth in time as people remember past events, so I’m left feeling a little as if I’ve only scratched the surface, rather than gotten the full story. I am reminded that there are many stories in the people around me; that what we see of a person – even one we think we know well - may be only the tip of the iceberg.

Book # 6 in the Hannah Swenson cozy mystery series is a waste of time and paper. The mystery takes up less than half the total page count; a community cookbook covers the majority of the book. The story is weak, and the recipes don’t sound very appetizing to THIS cook. Well, a couple of dessert recipes interested me enough to grant 1 star.
