I also had a question: could the Narnia Chronicles fit in a book that brings you back in time? (The characters don't really time travel but they get into a different timeline)

You don't have to complete all of the prompts, it's encouraged you do at least 2, but you can do as many as you like! About the Narnia Chronicles, I'll look into it and get back to you as soon as possible

Hi! Before I sign up, I have some questions (I'll probably sign up anyway though):1. do rereads count or will the books have to be brand-new-never-been-read-before?
2. for the "time travel" prompt, is it books that specifically have the characters time traveling to another era (like in Magic Tree House lol) or do books like historical fiction count?
Yes, rereads can count No, it has to be actual time travel, magic treehouse kind

The books must be on the to-read list or there must be a separate TBR shelf? And can we add books to our TBR or to-read list after the challenge starts?

And I'm pretty sure you can add things to the TBR shelf whenever you'd like.

If it helps, in April when we did this challenge I was looking up books to read specifically to fit certain prompts so I wasn't limited to what was already on my TBR shelf. Plus, it would make the challenge at least 30% harder if we were limited by what we had already marked as TBR.

Does real-life friend's recommendation count?
I was wondering if Red, White and Royal Blue will count for the prompt: a book which won the 2019 goodreads award as that is going to be our BOTM?Also will Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe count for the Pride Month prompts?

Thanks Tessa for the link. I reviewed it and add some of the books/serials to my shopping list and ordered them. Of course for the challenge ;)

How it Fits the Prompt: MCs Dante and Ari are gay. ( I'm confused though whether they are gay or queer. Can someone please explain me the queer thing?)
My definition of queer is when you don't identify as gay, but you're not straight either. It's very vague. (And if I'm wrong, someone please correct me!)

Here are the prompts that have been chosen for June's TBR Shelf Challenge:
-A book which is a fairy-tale retelling
-Ask a friend to rec you a book, now you have to read it
- a book which won the 2019 goodreads award
-The longest book on your tbr list
-a book that takes you back in time (time travel)
Because of Pride Month, we are doing these set of prompts too:
L - A book with a lesbian MC
G- A book with a gay MC
B- A book with a bisexual MC
T- A book with a transgender MC
Q- A book with a queer MC
+ - A book with an asexual, pansexual, etc. MC
RULES:
1. Books must be read between June 1st and June 30th
2. As this is a young adult (YA) book group, it is encouraged but not required that you read YA books
3. Books must be over 100 pages and comics, graphic novels, manga, children's books, etc. can only be used if over 100 pages or 15,000+ words
4. PLEASE read over the instructions in this challenge folder before you start the challenge
5. You can complete more than one different book for each prompt (ex. for prompt 1 you could basically complete it 3 times with 3 different books)
6. (new rule!) Rereads count!
Sign up down below if you'd like to participate. The way we're going to keep track of all the prompts completed by someone is different from last time because the spreadsheet was kind of hard to manage. I am going to put all the prompts in one post and each time someone completes a prompt, I will put their name underneath that prompt. Your name will be under multiple prompts if you complete that many. As always, please don't hesitate to ask any questions!
