You have versions of BDB that aren't mass market (beyond the obvious hardback, of course)?

Well I ordered the book thinking it was a pocket paperback. But now I see it's a mass market paperback. I looked around on the internet but I couldn't find a pocket sized version. But maybe it's just me and I'm not looking in the right place. What I don't get though is how Lover Avenged, hardcover version can be 527 pages and the mass market paperback version Lover Avenged 752 pages. They should be around the same size right?
Oh no, mass market is the small size. Trade paperbacks, or often just called paperback, are the bigger versions. Your book should fit into your set just fine (although you'll need big pockets to stuff all 752 pages in!). And the smaller page sizes means more pages.
Oh yeah, I got it confused with trade paperback. Woohoo! Now I only have to wait till november, grr. End of november too I see now :(

I've already read 1, 3, 6, 7 & 9 this month and am reading #2 right now, so that means I have to read 3 more in 11 days. It all depends on how fast my library holds come in. :)
6 down 3 to go! I was giving Feehan another chance after getting sick of her overuse of the phrase "hot silk" in her Carpathians series. In this book she doesn't use "hot silk" at all, but she does use "hot heat", which is much worse. How such a redundant phrase gets through editing baffles me. I also just didn't believe the sudden, intense attraction between Ryland and Lily. I know romance novels usually have the main characters fall in love quickly and intensely, but this time I just wasn't buying it. Not sure if I'm going to continue with this series.
Fade to Black is next!

Jennie, if it helps your decision process any, I think Shadow Game is the weakest in the series (well, of those I've read - I'm only up to book 6). I think the series improves as it goes along and more of the underlying storyline is revealed.

Jennie, is 'hot silk' what I think it is? The same as 'sweet secrets' in the BDB books?

Mel wrote: "Jennie, is 'hot silk' what I think it is? The same as 'sweet secrets' in the BDB books?" No, I believe it was usually in reference to the intense sensations running through her body like "hot silk". "Liquid flame" is another popular way authors describe this sensation. I could be mistaken, though.
And thanks, Darkheart, maybe I will try the next in the series.

Jennie, I agree with DarkHeart that the series gets better - the books about the Norton twins are great. I'm sorry you didn't like Shadow Game - as a romance, it wasn't anywhere near the best I've read. But it was the enhanced genetics idea of the Ghostwalkers that drew me to the series.

Switched Minion to One Foot in the Grave for Yellow. Yeah, Bones is just that awesome. I also changed Orange to the German version of A Kiss of Shadows since I read that at the beginning of the month.
I just started Guilty Pleasures and I'm on page 8, so I'll finish that in the next few days, then the only thing left is One Foot in the Grave.
:)
OOHHHH Bones (going all fangirl) he's just tooo yummy. :o) But Eric Northman will always have a special place in my heart--mainly because he came before Bones
Well, that was quick! 7 down now. I managed to read all of Fade to Black last night...staying up late despite my better judgement. I just had to know what happened! This book wasn't paranormal, but mystery/suspense, and really enjoyable!Through the Veil is next.

How are you liking Niffenegger's new book!
"
Hi BJ! I finished Niffenegger's book, Her Fearful Symmetry and I was not impressed. I actually gave it 2 stars. I was disappointed, because I really liked The Time Traveler's Wife.
It started out kinda slow, then I really thought it might be going somewhere around the middle, but it fell flat IMO the last 1/4 of the book. I am a fast reader, but it took me much longer to read than the typical book.

Finished Living with the Dead by Kelley Armstrong
****As always a very decent read by Kelley Armstrong. The book is about a non-supernatural, Robyn, who gets caught up in supernatural affairs. Her best friend Hope is there to help her, with her boyfriend Karl Marsten (swooooon). What Robyn doesn't know however is that she's teaming up with a chaos demon and a werewolf... against a clairvoyant and necromancer and many more otherworldy species.
This book was 540 pages of suspence, urban fantasy and a little bit of romance. I loved it. And I love love love Karl...
