I read this sometime in the last decade.

In this sci-fi romance, the heroine assassin wasn’t able to kill the target who is the romantic interest. The heroine ran away and the hero was able to find her. For some reason, I can recall flowers of some kind that seem to be important to the heroine or to how the hero found her later.
