SOLVED. A book that has been adapted into a film about a girl who attends a boarding school and ends up meeting a boy who is an angel. [s]

I watched this film ages ago but remember reading that it was adapted from a book series. The girl I think attended a boarding school where she eventually met a guy who turned out to be an angel, I also remember this boy and another guy from the school fighting at some point but that’s about it.
Hope someone knows what I’m babbling about :)
