I'm currently in Arizona working as a maintainer for the military, but am definitely looking forward to my big move to Georgia within the next few months. My dreams of being an eccentric, sketchbook-toting bookworm hippie will soon be realized!
It's nice to be here. (:

I am so excited to be here. I haven't really explored Goodreads much until now. I am super happy and am so looking forward to joining you all on your reading adventures!

Kyana, what is a maintainer?

A number of new members have mentioned their surprise that we are so active. Are other GR groups not very active then?!? I have to admit I'm not in that many so I don't know.

I live in Baltimore, Maryland and have been a bookworm most my life. I read hard copy books, ebooks and listen to audiobooks - I read a variety of genres but tend to stick with mystery, contemporary, supernatural and scifi the most. I began tracking books read about 10 years ago when I discovered half way through a paperback mystery that I knew the murderer not because it was too formulaic but because I'd read the book before.
I'm looking forward to adding more book chatter to my goodreads.

I'm Federica and I live in Milan. I bumped by chance into this group and I had to join immediately! I've always loved reading books and basically reading english books (and watching english movies) is what let me learn english. (well, at least, I pretend to know english)
I'm about to start my last year of college; I'm studying Applied Statistics so reading is one of the few ways I have to escape Maths and numbers for a good couple of hours.
Lately I'm into Ken Follett and John Kerouac but I'm keen to discover new authors/new books to read! I've seen that August's topic is Ancient Rome and I'm thrilled!
I've never been in a book group, hope I'll fit well!
Ciao :)

Colleen, I should have read your post yesterday. I accidentally bought a book for the second time. Even reading the sample chapter I couldn't tell if I had read it. I hadn't bought it from Amazon, and I couldn't find it on my physical book shelves, so I bought it from Kindle. After reading your post today, it occurred to me I should have checked good reads. Sure enough, I read it a year ago and only gave it two stars. And late last night I found the paperback on my bookshelves, behind some other books. I think it must have been hiding and giggling.

I don't know if you pretend to know English, but I pretend I'm learning Italian. :)

I recently joined GR and I'm excitedly exploring every book and cranny! ;)

So here I am!!
