Hey! I have a question: if you have a challenge on your blog that you think might be fun for some readers to join in, do you post them in this group and where or you don't?

We don't really have a place to promote things. We aren't big on advertising other things, be it groups, books or challenges. But of course if things come up organically when talking to people that's not a problem at all. A lot of us participate in other challenges or groups that we have let others know about as the topic has come up. Same with books and blogs, but we're not big on self promotion.

So answer is no where, sort of, let us know if it comes up. Clear as mud?

We're pretty strict about self promotion in this group. We want this to be a group where members can relax and have fun without having someone promoting their books, blogs, websites, etc.

Lots of our members are bloggers. Sometimes, it comes up in conversation. But they don't point the way and ask you to check it out.

I hope you don't find that discouraging. Hang around, take part in the activities we have, and you'll catch on to the tenor of the group.

That's alright! I do find that a bit annoying when some members just come to a group to promote their sites instead of chatting with the other members, so I probably won't mention any of my blogs, unless you want me to! :D

Good Morning!

My name is Lyss. I am from Michigan and am married and have two little girls (Two and Four years old). I have been an avid reader since the time I was very little. My dad read me Little Princess, Secret Garden, Wizard of Oz and other classics before I could even read and I adored every minute. These days I can read just about anything and I loved many of the books on your bookshelf!

I don't have a lot of people to discuss books with and ask my questions to so I am hoping to have a nice group to talk to here!!
