Welcome, Rona! You'll find a great cross-section of genres here, one of the reasons why I enjoy the group so much. I almost always find something to be interested in, or people who have read/are reading what I'm reading at the moment.
Hello Rona & welcome to the group!
Welcome Christina and Rona! You'll find a wide variety of interest here, so I'm sure you'll find lots of books and other things to chat about. Our activities are another great way to find more books and learn about each other.
Rona - welcome - 4 cats!! - I have three and the only thing they agree on is that the other two should leave!

My cats all get along very well. The sweetest group of cats I've ever known - and I've been very well acquainted with a good many cats!
Of course, I had one cat move across the street where he could be the top - and only - cat. But it all worked out for the best tho I did miss him.

Two arrived as kittens and tolerate each other - mostly by avoiding and glaring. The third arrived as an adult - we did the introductions slowly through a closed door etc. but still they wage war.
One suggestion is to use the same comb interchangeably among the cats, preferably daily at least initially. It can help them accept each other's scent as their own. This promotes more acceptance of each other and better compatibility.
It's often advisable to keep them separate when introducing one or more new cats. The newbies can stay together, but should be given their own space some place separate. Makes it safer feeling for all. They have a chance to adjust to each other's scent and presence better that way. Not sure this can help at this point for you, but perhaps.Meanwhile, we ought to move this chat over to our pet thread here... https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Thank you, TJ. I was just going to ask that you move the conversation over when I saw your suggestion.
Good Monday to all! I am Brenda; new to most of you, but not to GR. Joined this group to gather suggestions on books since I am a Public Librarian and at least twice a day get asked for suggestions. I do read a variety of books. I am looking forward to join in on some of the discussions here. Since I lead an in-person book club for the Library I do feel like I will use your themes to try and get through some of the pile I feel I must give a try to. I am a person that is okay with giving up on a book that I have give an honest try to. This groups sounds very unique and helpful. Looking forward to getting to know a few more of you in the upcoming months.
Hi Brenda! Welcome to YLTO. We talk a lot about the books we read and I'm sure your TBR will grow like the rest of ours has.
Welcome Brenda. I also stop reading/listening to books I don't like or that really annoy me. There are too may good ones out there waiting for their chance.
Hi MsG! So glad you've joined us. You may even find some good food and drinks here. The subject does come up occasionally. It goes without saying that you'll find good books and good people here.
A big hello.I'm in and out of groups on GRs depending on how busy the real world is for me. I'm a psychology student, working part- to full-time hours so not much is consistent atm.
So, for now I'll hang around here. Looks like a good group and keen to chat to everyone. I'm sure I'll see you all around.

Welcome MsG and Becca! We were discussing acronyms somewhere and as I work for a bank, I first wondered what an atm (automated teller machine) had to do with your availability :)
MsG wrote: "Hello and welcome Becca. Wishing you well with your studies."Thanks MsG :) Good to be done for another year.
Hello everyone. I love to read. I read just about any genre, not too much caring for Black Fiction nor Erotica. I mean I have read some before, but I just don't go out searching for them. I love book challenges and participating in buddy reads. For some reason, they really motivate me to start a book or finish a book. I also love discussing books that I'm reading or have read just to see what other people thought about the book. Sometimes, I can ramble on and on about things; I'm trying not to do that too much right now lol. I hope I get to know some of you better as time passes.
Welcome Briana, sounds like you will fit into this group well. Check out our November challenge and monthly reads.
Thank you Tammy, Janice and Sandra. I looked at the discussion for The Bees and I must say it is pretty interesting.*Off to do some more exploring in this group*
I gave a brief welcome to you Brianna over in The Bees thread. Sounds like you'll fit well - we always have a lot going on here.
