Thank you Sarah, Lynda, Sandra and Rusalka!

read "sometimes" as "frequently" in my case ;)

Ignore that - I see that you did.

I am interested to the October group read: Bird Box which I’m planning to read this month. I’m a bit of a reading challenge addict and up to joining a new one, your cryptogram challenge looks good!

Hello everyone, I am Kelly. I enjoy reading thrillers, suspense and ghost stories. I have a tendency to read many books at once. Right now I am reading Pines, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and House of Leaves. I usually have an audio book to listen to when I am doing housework, Little Women.
But more importantly I am a wife and mother to a handsome son and beautiful daughter.

Kelly,
Welcome -
I read [bookcover:The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks I was ashamed to realize that I had used HeLa cells for 30 years in my research and never once thought about the woman they came from. Many of my friends in biomedical research had a similar experience. There is one scene where the author mentions toenail polish that really haunted me.

Thanks everyone for the welcome.
Janice - I have read Bird Box, it was good. I will check out Something Wicked.
Joan- I love these kinds of books. I read Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers and that was a good read, informative. I myself am not in research but I love biology, studied it in college, worked with tissues and never once did my professor talk about where our samples came from. I think it is something that should be mentioned.

Kelly,
You are absolutely right and happily I think more anatomy professors are now including discussion and reflection about the people who donated their bodies and tissues. We have a long way to go however.

We just started with our holidays so I have a lot of time. Oh and I hope my English isn't too bad.

I'm one of the no native English speaking in this group, and I can positively telling you that language is NEVER an issue here! You'll see by yourself how wonderful is the people in YLTO!

I also echo all that's been said above about language. We all ask questions to clarify what others mean when we don't understand, so just let us know if you need, and we will too. One of the benefits to an international group. We all understand each other, and learn more along the way.

Christina, I am a newbie here too. I have found that reading the comments of others during the group read helped me enjoy our books last month. (Mrs. Dalloway and Marina). Be sure to check out the challenges each month they are fun.

I too have found the discussion and the book recommendations a great experience. I'm pretty new myself, and felt welcome from the beginning.

I am Rona and I am 35 years old, I live in the South East of Ireland with my husband and our 4 cats. I love reading, ever since I was a kid and I read pretty much any genre, once the book is interesting.
That's about it from me, just wanted to say "Hi" to you all
