ROFL about only 10 books! I have about 200 paper books that I own and haven't read, plus over 420 ebooks that I haven't read. So with only 10 books you get no sympathy from me.

I have around.... ah, not going to go there. So, to add to my addiction, I bought You for next months group read in Sai King Recommends group and Shattered so that I can complete level 5 in the serial killer challenge.

My daughter was out with my mom at the mall the other day and decided to get me a gift card to barnnes & noble (my mom paid for it as my daughter is 8yo and didn't have any money!). She said she knows I love books and she wanted to treat me. cute!

I'm also over on betterwordbooks looking at their flash sale of 40% 5 books or more... I really, really don't need anymore books right now but it's such a good sale!!

Funny thing is that I already have Five Quarters out from the library for the next challenge but decided to get my own copy instead.

I put a hold on the library copy, but will not get it until mid-July, unless it's returned early.

It will be about a year before I get to it unless some challenge, toppler, or group read gives it a higher priority. I've got so many books on my TBR that it's taking about that long to make it up to the top of the list.

Yes, I put a hold on it just for the group read. I try not to buy books that are available through our library, as I buy far more books than I should even when buying only those that are not available as library loans.

I don't think it was a daily deal. I checked again today and it's still the same price. I know prices go up and down at different times in different countries. it baffles me.

I pre ordered Murakami's first and second novels Hear the Wind Sing and Pinball, 1973 being released in the first time in ages. First 2 in the 4 books of the Rat. I've read 3 & 4. Previously 1&2 were collectors amd I vpuldn't find for less than several hindred dollars a piece goi g into the thousands. Really more of novellas being firat published in magazines. Cannot wait to get these and read all 4 as a complete work.

I picked this up the other day on the clearance rack at Books A Million for $5. I have so many books to read that I don't know when I will get to it. I just couldn't pass up the bargain though.

$5 was a good price, Amanda and you will be happy to have it whenever you get around to reading it, I hope. It is a little strange at first, but keep at it. It is worth it. We did a group read so look for the old thread when you get to it. :0)

I picked up the ebooks Close to Shore: The Terrifying Shark Attacks of 1916 by Michael Capuzzo and The Return of Washington: George Washington's Ascent to the Presidency byEdward J. Larson. Both are on sale for $1.99 at Amazon and B&N.
