I just finished Shadow of the Wind by Ruiz Zafon. Wow, just wow.

It’s a brilliant book, isn’t it? Try the others in the series, it’s a great story. 😁
I absolutely loved The Shadow of the Wind. I just finished Labyrinth of Spirits and am blown away. I feel so sad to part with these beloved characters. I know Zafón says you can read them in any order but I’m so happy that I read them all in order because now it feels like I was part of solving a big mystery of the underground library and the characters linked to it.
Yes very sad, I hadn't realised he was ill. This series of books are my favourites and Shadow of The Wind is one of the best. Very sad we won't get any more books from him :'(
My all time favorite! I got the book from a friend a long time ago. She said the book is "magical". She was not wrong. Absolutely MAGICAL! I read all of them and they are all equally good , but Shadow of the Wind is the one I carry close to my heart .
Isn't it wonderful and his most famous but all his other books are definitely worth a read, beautifully written, all of them. I think he has to be one of my favourite authors, I can't believe when he died last year there was hardly a mention.
Beautifully written book. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Sad to hear such a brilliant author passed away last year...
i have 3 of them is there more?
Excellent description of The Shadow of the Wind. The whole trilogy is really awesome, but this novel is truly a jewel. Check out "The Long Night of the White Chickens" if you feel like reading something more earthy. Happy reading! #TeachersTravelers

It was recommended to me years ago by one of the very few passionate booksellers in my country, a middle aged woman who runs a small secondhand bookshop who told me that this novel and David Ball's The Sword and the Scimitar as her two favorite novels of all time. True, I went through a long period afterwards of creative degeneration that I've only started to pick up after I came here to England but I'll always remember her words.
In essence, I haven't had so much fun reading a book in a long time.
