May 2020 Mini Challenge - We're All In This Together ...
Begins: 01May20 / Ends: 31May20

I don't know about you, but reading (and my GoodReads groups) have helped keep me connected over these weeks "staying at home." In the spirit of being "apart, but together" I came up with this month's challenge.

Tasks:
1. Staying at Home: Read a book with a residence on the COVER. (Please post the cover image) - interior or exterior, as long as it's clearly a place where someone lives.

2. Essential Workers: Read a book with a main character who is a nurse, doctor, first responder, or restaurant owner/worker

3. Stuck at home, so we'll indulge in armchair travel - Read a book set in a different country from the one you live in. (Tell us both your country and where the book is set.)

4. Social Distancing: Read a book where the first letter of each title word can be found in: SOCIAL DISTANCING (3-word minimum / All words count)

5. Laughter is the Best Medicine - Read a book with a main page genre of COMEDY, HUMOR / or / FUNNY.

===========================================

All books used must be a minimum of 100 pages long - Page length determined by HARDCOVER 1st edition. If there is no Hardcover, then the most popular paperback governs page #.

You may read in any format - text, audio or e-book. If using audio or e-book I suggest using Amazon.com's "look inside" feature to get a page number for your quote.

You MUST finish the book before you can claim credit.

EXAMPLE of a successful post:
E.A. in Easter - Ellery Adams / Pecan Pies and Homicides ✔ - 15May19

You MUST finish the book before you can claim credit for completing the task.

If you'd like to be recognized as finishing, the challenge, please post a new comment alerting me to your finish. I do not get notifications when you edit your original post.

Have Fun!

I live in the US. This book was set in England BUT that is only the beginning! I feel like I've been around the world! This book took me from Ealing, Middlesex, England to Hawaii, Tahiti, Seattle, Cincinnati, back to Seattle, and then back to Ealing - by plane, ship, and small boat. A wonderful book to read right now when travelling is so limited. There were also other reasons that I gave this one 5 stars -- it was SO good!!

4. Social Distancing: Read a book where the first letter of each title word can be found in: SOCIAL DISTANCING (3-word minimum / All words count)

I'm glad you're doing this one too so I can see what you picked to read. I am here to apologize to you about what I said about David Sedaris a few years back. I got one of his in Blind Date with a Book this year. I wasn't looking forward to it but it fit the "Humor" aspect of this challenge...so off I went and I really enjoyed this one. If you haven't read it, I would recommend it!!
