“I really want to heal quickly. But obviously that’s not going to happen unless I heal myself,” Lyla says.
" If you're sure that it won't take too much energy then you should do it. But do it in your dorm so that you can rest in case it takes too much of your energy " he replied
“I should be fine,” Lyla assures him, “But I want to heal Aarna first, so she can’t reinjure herself.”
Aarna runs towards her sister when she calls her.
Lyla smiles. “Aarna, how are the wounds you got?” she asks in a gentle voice.
Maya {Hurt me with the truth, but never comfort me with a lie} wrote: "Lyla smiles. “Aarna, how are the wounds you got?” she asks in a gentle voice."" Almost healed ! " she replied showing Lyla a few scars. The wounds seemed to have almost healed and the scars only marked the spots where there had been a few cuts and bullet wounds.
Lyla exhales, relieved. “Okay, good,” she says.
Jacob smiled, " Must be because of her family powers. "
" I guess it's your turn now " Jacob said, looking at her
Lyla looks at him. "I'm not sure it's worth it..."
" That's okay. It was your choice whether or not to speed up the healing process "
Lyla chews softly on her bottom lip. "I'll do it," she decides, "Here, and now."
Lyla nods. "It's not too hard, or draining."
Lyla is silent for a bit, concentrating. There is a faint glow from under her pants as she healed herself.
He watched as she used her powers.
Lyla finishes healing herself. She looks at Jacob. "If you're hurt in any way, now's the time to tell me."
Lyla sighs. "Okay, but if I find even a scrape on you..." she lets him finish the sentence in his head.
He just sat there, silently for a while
Lyla shrugs. "I still need to take Aarna to the mall, but I don't want to interrupt her."
" I don't think it will exactly be interruption. Ask her if she wants to go now or later "
"Alright," Lyla calls Aarna back over. Her legs still felt a bit unsteady, and she didn't want to stand up.
Aarna comes back and stands near her sister.
"I wanted to know if you would like to go to the mall now, or later?" Lyla says.
"Aarna, you choose," Lyla says, "I'll do whichever you prefer."
Lyla shrugs. "She can come with us if you really want. She also has Jacob here."
" Then we should go to the mall ! " Aarna replied, excited" You guys should go. I'll talk to Edlyn
"Okay!" Lyla says to Aarna. She turns to Jacob. "Thank you."
He shrugs, " You always need to make time for family. You never know how much time you have left with them "
Sadness passes over her features but she quickly masks it. She kisses Jacob before standing up. "Let's go, Aarna."
" Okay " Aarna replied. She held her sister's hand." Have fun you two "
Lyla smiles at Jacob aand blows a kiss before leading Aarna towards the mall.
Jamie walks here and calls Aarna. "Aarna! We gave to get going!"
She rushes towards James, " Okie. Are we leaving right now ? "
((Sorry. His real name is James, Jamie's a nickname his siblings gave him.))"Yeah. Everyone's excited to meet you," he says, smiling.
