I'll give it a try. I'll even add Nyssa's suggestions to my list (except the Mobile Read). Don't know how well I'll do, but can be interesting to track.

Oooh, I like that people like my additions! I've decided that I'm also going to add Religion and Secular to my genres, if you want to throw them under the specialty list too, Nyssa. :)

I added "War" and "Zombies" to mine, but, I'm not even going to try to increase my Nonfiction reading, at least not in 2015.
I've been into nonfiction lately. It's a nice change, sometimes, and makes me feel smarter!

Yeah... I actually have tentative plans for quite a lot of them as well. But I'm not going to list anything, because as we all very well know, my reading lists tend to turn into reading slumps. So. I shall refrain.
Yah, no planned reading lists for me either. Here, however, is how I'm handling this particular challenge:

Main Goals: Have a Much Better Year Than 2014!
Increase & Improve level of participation in Flights of Fantasy!

LOL! I didn't create it, I found that somewhere years ago and thought it would be fun. But I'm horrible at book lists. I suck at them.
But this isn't a book list, it's a book GENRE list. You can read any books you like. :D

Added "Survival" to my list and am now looking for one more, fiction related category, to make it an even 50 total.

Thats a good idea! What would we call it? ... "Translated Work", "Formerly Foreign"...
I also just realized that I never added Speculative Fiction!! (Duh) It is technically a "Free for All" in this particular group, but hey.
In fact, someone could also have a "Free for All", especially if they know they like to read a particular genre! That would basically give them a free slot to indulge a little. "Free for All" can also allow for that undefinable selection.
So I'm now jumping from 49 to 52, which is my personal cap!

I might change some stuff, but using other's lists is a bonus because it gets me out of my box. What is Magical Realism? Common example?

Hmm, can one book count for multiple entries?Like can a Western Romance count for western and romance? Or can a book like The Girl with All the Gifts count for sci-fi, zombie, and YA?
I would say definitely. Though I'd only use the book for one of the cats. Unless you read it multiple times.

Its technically not supposed to; you're supposed to choose one category per book. However, since these are personal challenges feel free to tweak it anyway you see fit.
I would just ask that everyone add a description of their personal tweaks in their threads. Thank you! :)
