Just completed To Have and to Hoax, by Martha Waters. It's a Regency romcom that was fine, not amazing- too much of the plot, both the initial premise and the ongoing shenanigans, rely on obnoxiously immature lack of communication and basic misunderstandings, which is not my favorite setup for a romance. These ninnies spent FOUR YEARS miserably mad at each other because of something this silly? Even the supporting characters spent half the book telling them to just talk to each other like grown-ups!
Irritating as that trope is, the book fits the tag "wishlist."

Got it, Roxana! I hate that trope as well... just talk to each other! Stop lying and keeping secrets! It never leads anywhere good!

Yuuuup, it is the ENTIRE plot, and they spend FOUR. YEARS. just never talking about it. And the "it" turns out to be, frankly, kind of minimal and silly, as they'd have known if they'd ever.........talked about it. Oh well, it was a fast read - on to my next book, I guess!

That would fit with the yearly prompt about a book with silhouette on the cover.

This book is a mystery which takes place in Berlin in the 1950s, when Berlin was divided into sectors controlled by France, England, Russia and the U.S. The setting and time period contribute much to the story. The plot and characters remind me of Agatha Christie.

The book actually is a novel that follows the life of one woman-birth to death. Pulitzer prize winner about loneliness and isolation.

Got it, Roxana! I love when a narrator is perfect for an audiobook... makes the experience so much better.

Hilde and Brittany, I've recorded yours here!
Rachel, the 2015 tag is on the Nonfiction thread (not Travel), so I've recorded it over there!

We will have five genres of books, and shelf tags that go along with each genre (plus a few freebies, for those of us finishing up monthly challenges). Our goal, as a group, is to cross off as many of these shelf tags as possible by the end of the day next Sunday (April 26th).
For this thread, we have TRAVEL.

No, you do not have to read a book in each genre for it to count! It only has to have the tag on the book. (For example, you can read any book tagged 2013 to complete that tag... it doesn't have to be a travel book.)
If you need help finding books, Goodreads has an easy way to see the most popular books on each shelf. Just head to www.goodreads.com/shelf and search for the shelf you're looking for.
