Scot Mcclain | 4 comments Ok so all I can remember of the book is that it was about a reporter, i think, who for some reason moved down south to a small town, it was a town in the wetlands I believe. Her neighbor was a very mysterious man or was some kind of writer or author of sorts. There was a very popular bar in town where everyone seemed to hang out. If I remember right I think their was murders and she saw them happen but no one believes her. I keep thinking the title is something like "Cry Wolf" but I can never find it anywhere. I was never able to finish the book so I cant explain much more then that.

Anything about the cover?
Why did the people not believe the reporter about the murders?
Time period story takes place?

Angels Fall by Nora Roberts? Here's a description on Amazon:
"...romantic suspense...a young chef's recovery from violent trauma. While driving in the Grand Tetons, displaced Bostonian Reece Gilmore stops in the small town of Angel's Fist, near Jackson Hole, Wyo., and considers the "Cook Wanted" sign in Joanie's, a local diner...a wary, unattached mystery novelist, Brody. Indeed, when Reece claims to have witnessed a murder while hiking along Snake River, few except Brody are inclined to believe the skittish new resident..."

Scot, does she witness all the murders in the small town (not where she came from)?
Is this book mostly romantic suspense, just suspense, mystery, etc.?

Scot Mcclain | 4 comments All I can remember about the cover was it was kinda like a foggy scene, maybe a house? Like I said its been more then 5 years now. I think the time period was set in the present of when the book was written cause her neighbor, who was the writer, used s type writer and she mad a comment that it was old school. And now I'm thinking that maybe she wasn't a reporter but that she was a CEO or high official who was caught up in a murder, maybe her husbands and she just moved away from the big city to get away from the publicity and stuff and ended up in the small town in maybe Louisiana or Georgia

If not maybe Revenant? Set in the south, with a journalist and a bar/nightclub.
