Meli | 10 comments I used to own two books in the 90s, one was Being of Two Minds by Pamela F. Service, and the other had almost the exact same premise. It involved a young boy and young girl sharing each other's lives/minds/bodies. I remember being perplexed at how similar the two books were (in premise but not necessarily in plot), but ultimately the one I ended up re-reading the most was Being of Two Minds and now it is the only one with story details that I retain. I think that the other one that I owned was a hardcover with a dust jacket with an abstract illustration on a matte black background, and that it was purchased new, so it may have been published in the early to mid-90s.

No, definitely not. Though I loved that book!

I would guess that they were closer to teens than young children.

No, it was a different book with the exact same premise.

Rainbowheart | 28699 comments Was it for sure a boy and a girl?

Were they relatives or just friends?

I think that they were strangers and didn't know if the other actually existed until a certain point in the book. Almost definitely a girl and a boy, but if I'm mistaken then it would be two girls as I wouldn't have read it or bought it otherwise. Like in Being of Two Minds, they were geographically separated.

Of Two Minds

I think this is a case of mistaken memory and that I confused Being of Two Minds and Of Two Minds having similar titles for having similar plots. They do both have a main female and main male character with mental powers, though they do not seem to share minds as I misremembered. But based on the hardcover edition of the book, I do believe that this is what I was trying to think of.

Weird how Of Two Minds and Being of Two Minds have such similar titles. I can see why you mixed them up.
