🀣🀣🀣 Allyson and I used to do that all the time! I would get mad at her and tell her "I'm not going to speak to you for the rest of the day!"
5 minutes later I'd forget and asked her a question. 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

Pamela | 2209 comments I still can't get photos to show up here, but I was able to upload a few to my goodreads profile page. If you want to see my cats, I have Clara (deformed foot) & Sarah posted. I also posted a photo of the flooding in my area. The stop sign is almost completely submerged. That's how bad it was!

Pamela | 2209 comments I added another flood photo and also some photos of the black bear that was in my town a couple of weeks ago. The photos were all taken by residents in town who spotted him on their property. I especially enjoy the one of the bear in a swimming pool here in town. Imagine going for a swim with him!🐻😟🐻

Emma | meadowroselibrary Aww your cats are so cute, Pamela! That was a lot of flooding!
Meg would probably love to go for a swim with a bear. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ»πŸ‘€

message 1808: by Pamela (new)

Pamela | 2209 comments Thank you, Emma! Both cats were rescues from the SPCA. The flooding was scary and we're expecting more rain and storms every day this week! It seems that Meg does like bears. I, for one, would rather swim with a bear than a shark!😬

That's wonderful that you rescued them! I must admit, I was very surprised how much your one cat's paw was deformed, but she was still absolutely adorable!! πŸ€—πŸ₯°

Yes, poor Clara's entire left leg is fused all the way to her shoulder and she can't bend it at all. When she walks, she has to throw that leg out to the side, but it doesn't slow her down at all. She's even able to run and jump! Nobody else wanted her and they were ready to put her down when I took her!

Pamela | 2209 comments FYI...I just got home and watched the weather forecast. They said from tonight through Tuesday night we are going to have the most active meteor showers of the whole year. The best time for viewing will be around 11:00 to 11:30 p.m. It will be viewable throughout North America. Tuesday is supposed to be the peak viewing time. Looks like I'd better nap sometime today!

Everything I've been hearing says it should be about the same time throughout the northern hemisphere. There will be some meteors earlier in the evening and early in the morning, too. Between 11:00 pm and midnight there should be 75+ per hour!

Joanna I was just out with the dogs and saw 3 meteors! I just missed the first one but it must have been really something...I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye and when I looked up there was a long streak of bluish light lingering in the sky, just east of the Milky Way. It was visible for at least 5 minutes!!!

Ruth,
Sarah looks like the more laid back cat, but she's super sensitive. She's the one who had a nervous breakdown when my dad died (officially diagnosed by our vet) and she's also the one who woke me when my blood sugar dropped so low. Clara is actually the more laid back cat. You are right, though. To look at them, you would think it's the opposite. Clara is more fearful of storms and fireworks, though.

Hi Pammy,
How are you today?
Oh, I thought Clara woke you.
Poor Sarah! I had no idea that cats had
breakdowns. I'm so used to seeing indifferent
or Luciferin cats (a la Cinderella), the types
that are around us. Fireworks are frightening,
each holiday the animals in our neighborhood
are still and silent.
