I cant remember the book name nor the author. I remember it was about a princess who finds out that some old guy is growing weaker, and that she goes on a three day journey to take his place. It's part of a series, this i do know, but im not looking for the series, looking for the book. She has a tiny purple dragon, and meets a temptress who pretends to be her dead mother, and a little girl with a fictional disease called "Bloodpox" which supposedly had gone away years ago, and we also find out dragons are immune to the disease when the little girl want to pet her dragon. She acquires a new dragon, who was caged and intended for dragon food as she was no good for fighting, and she renames the dragon Beauty. I dont remember anything else.
