Sorry not done with my book. Been mobile for most of my time so the last couple of days so I've listened to several books. Since the Task was called I've listened to 4 books. They may be on a mods read shelf. I'm leaving to go get my mom and take her to an appointment now and won't get back for quite a few hours. If anyone has time to research for me we might be able to get this task done sooner. The books Undercover Bromance Blindsightedand The Curse of Tenth Grave. I listened to Books Can Be Deceiving on the 1st but I'm not sure if I started it before the Task was called. I'll check in on my mobile in between appointments. Thanks in advance.

Thank you Nikk for researching for me. I've posted our completion post. We should have a new task tomorrow. Last one for this fun game!
Can I just say how easy it was since you all used my shelf?! I knew I had read all of those books - didn't even need to check. 😊 Though I knew Karen had read most of them as well, so... Here is your next task:
21. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.
You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 books on it.
21. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.Well this was one we never planned for LOL. Here are links to my 5 Star books and my 4.5 Star books. I would recommend any of them but if you want to ask about specific books just ask because some of my 5 star books were ones I read 10-15 years ago and my reading tastes have probably matured since then.

Good idea, Christina - here is a link as well to my 5-star shelf. I reviewed it, and it’s a mix of books across genres, and a few older reads on there as well - reviewing the list made me want to reread a couple books actually 😆My 5-star-rated-books shelf
I have a big mix of genres as well. I write reviews for almost all of my books as well. I will say that I recommend any of my 4 and 5 star review books.

YAY!!! I know we pretty much have similar tastes so I went to yours first and then I would go to Karen's since you are both the same person, right? LOL

Sassafrass wrote: "CB would you recommend: Archangel's Storm? it was a 5 star read but it was 4 stars."Yes, I would recommend this book, I really quite enjoyed it, and of the non-Elena/Raphael books in this series, this would probably be my favorite of those.
And I will also add I am a huge fan of this series!
I've recently got back into the series. I've been in a PNR mood and I'm caught up on Psy-changeling so I wanted to go back to this one. I'm not sure why this series didn't resonate with me as much as the Psyc-changeling one did but I think it's because it's so much more dark. I just finished Archangel's Blade and was a bit disappointed so I was wary of going on to the next book.
In my opinion, don’t base your thoughts on this series on Archangel's Blade - my least favorite of the series by far! I rated it a 2 😬. It is indeed a darker series than Psy-Changeling, and I think more along the lines of UF than PNR. I personally much prefer the Elena/Raphael installments, but I’m a bit biased towards those characters. Angels' Blood was one of the first of the UF/PNR-type books I ever read, and it blew me away, so I know I have a soft spot for this series.
Ok, got it. I will tell you though, I was getting tired of Raph/Elena because Elena kept getting so hurt. I wanted her to be stronger if she was going to be with such a powerhouse as Raph and wanted to continue to be a hunter. That is actually why I stopped reading the series. I needed a break. But, I've liked the glimpses of them that I got in Blade, and I just started listening to Storm, and I'm already intrigued. Jason's character has always had that air of mystery around him and I think he and Mahiya are well-matched. I'm looking forward to their story.
Sass, I saw on your 5-star review list Lick by Kylie Scott - I love a really good rock band romance, and I don’t know why I’ve never read any of this series yet. I’m going to give it a go - I assume based on your 5-star review you recommend this? 😉
CB wrote: "In my opinion, don’t base your thoughts on this series on Archangel's Blade - my least favorite of the series by far! I rated it a 2 😬. We definitely have opposite opinions on that one. I've not rated any of this series less than 4 stars but than I'm only up to book 6 and read book 5 almost 2 years ago. I really should get back to it.
I think I'm going to go with The Unsung Hero which is on Sass's shelf with a 4 stars. It works with my June reading plan and 2 challenges.
Yes, I definitely recommend both books.CB - Lick was so great and meeting all the boys in the band. I miss them. I'm going to have to revisit them again. David and Evelyn. so great! I loved David!!
And Christina -- I enjoyed Unsung Hero. There were a lot of side stories that distracted me and that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 STARS.
These were both on audio and I think the audio make Lick Better but it got me sidetracked on Unsung Hero. It's so interesting how that works.

I'm listening to The Unsung Hero having been able to get it from the library. They had two different versions. I went with the dual narration with Melanie Ewbank and Patrick Lawlor. It's 15 hours long though so it might take me a few days even on 2xs the speed.
I started with my audiobooks at 1.5x. Then that became to slow. The I want to 1.75. Then 2.0x. Now I’m usually at 2.5x. Except with some narrators. Like Andi Ardnt reads fast so 2.0x is fine for her. I have no idea how anyone can listen at 1.0. It sounds like they are reading backwards it’s so slow!
I know what you mean Sass. Back before eAudio files I listened to Books on Tape or CD and everything was fine back then but now I can't with the 1x. If one assumes 1x is just regular talking how in the heck does it sound like you've put a vinyl record on at the wrong speed. Listening to a 45 on a 33rpms. I'm totally showing my age LOL.
LOL, yes showing your age just a little. I remember talking about my first record album to my kids one day and my daughter goes what's a record? Like a CD? GAH!

I'm 2/3 through The Unsung Hero. I'm listening to it and it's 15 his long. I'll get it done to get this last challenge complete but that's about it for me and this challenge. What a fun one it was! Anyone else sign up for Round 4 of The Bachelor?
I loved this one as well, Christina! And yes, I too am signed up for the Bachelor challenge - I’ve participated in every one of those since it’s started, can’t break my streak 😁
CB wrote: "I loved this one as well, Christina! I liked my first go with it but found I was trying to read books that fit no matter how good they were. I read some really crappy books for the sake of the game but I'm not going to do that this time and hope the team I get placed with has a fun and leisurely approach as well.

The Unsung Hero by Suzanne Brockmann

Sass....I know what you mean about The Unsung Hero having too many storylines going on. I liked the book but it's not a favorite. I rated it 3.5 but rounded up to 4 for GR and because the supporting characters were really great.
Yeah, when you are listening on audio especially it was so hard to keep track of everything going on. She should have made two separate, shorter books or something.
Thank you everyone for such a fun team challenge! Sass - was so great to play another challenge with you again, and Christina & Nikk - great getting to know you both. Hope to see you all again soon!
