Linda | 234 comments It goes until 500+??? Wow I did not want to look that long.Hahah
I struggled finding something in the top 100 that was free (that was the main problem) + interested me + I have not yet read but then I found The Summer I Turned Pretty in my library overdrive! YAY!!

Thank god, because I was //this close// to buying Vampire Academy because I feel I missed out as a teen by not reading it LOL but then again... I don't know if I would enjoy this as an adult. ???

I read into some of P.Douglas books that I found on KU and I found Bully interested me the least since (if I remember correctly) it was single POV?? (also I think the bullying would stress me out) but if its the only Free one ... I think its a quick read?

message 252: by Laura (new)

Laura | 2514 comments I 'm in the 700's now!! It's a huge list!

I also wanted something free...and then to read something new! Still looking.

Laura | 2514 comments I'm going with Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) by Kristen Ashley . #82 It was 0.00 on KU.
Wallbanger was 9.99 so I passed:-(

message 256: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments Oh wowww, thats a German YA Classic! I have to re-read it at some point.

That list truly is endless! I read a bit into The Summer I turned pretty and its easy-going and nice. I will stick with this one. I enjoy Jenny Han's writing. I also liked it in To All the Boys I've Loved Before.
I will go to bed now, but Happy Reading!!!
And hope you find something, Laura!

message 257: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments Ah I just saw you picked one!! Nice!! Hope you like it.

message 258: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments I liked the movie to all the boys I loved before on Netflix, Linda.

I enjoyed Wallbanger I might have given it 4 stars which is high for me on a romance.

Alissa | 161 comments I think I’m going with Bully that was next for me on the P Douglas read list and I it’s already queued up!

I read the Vampire Academy series and I really liked it! I wasn’t young either. Very much an adult when I read it. LOL

message 262: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments I started it one year for UNO and I remember I liked it and I was not a kid either. I haven’t finished but I have it on the list to finish.

message 263: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments And thanks Laura and Linda for sharing some of the list which saved me lots of time tonight.

message 264: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments Ok well maybe saying I won't enjoy it as an adult was the wrong phrasing... as I obviously still also read and love YA. BUT!!! my vampire phase was left in my teen years so that was the point I wanted to make :D but I am glad you guys enjoyed it, once my library opens its doors again I may give it a try. i just dont want to spend money on it :D

Oh yeah, getting books free is always better! I try to limit how much I buy. But every year Audible and Amazon get a good amount of money from me. But not as much as before. I justify it by telling myself I gotta keep them in business! LOL

message 266: by Laura (new)

Laura | 2514 comments I switched my book to Seducing Cinderella (Fighting for Love, #1) by Gina L. Maxwell . 20 % in and I couldn't go further in Rock Chick.

message 267: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments Oh no. That bad ????

message 268: by Laura (new)

Laura | 2514 comments Well, it wasn't "enough" to keep my attention.

Linda | 234 comments Geri, could you write what # Wallbanger is on the List in your completion post? I don't see a search function on the list so I'm guessing MKat would need that information!!

Laura | 2514 comments Did you like it, Linda?

message 276: by Linda (last edited Apr 30, 2020 03:26PM) (new)

Linda | 234 comments I really did! I did not like Conrad (the 'main' guy) so that pushed it down a little but I love Jenny Han's writing. I think it is so perfectly true of a teenager.
How were your Books, Laura and Geri?

message 277: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments I have about two hours left on my book so I should finish tonight.

message 278: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments Nice!! What did you pick? :D

Glad you enjoyed it. I liked mine; happy I switched:-)

message 280: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments I’m reading Bully it’s been pretty good just like Geri said not as good as Corrupt

message 281: by Geri (new)

Geri | 639 comments Wow, Wallbanger was a little too over the top crazy for me! LOL I rolled my eyes some and was exhausted by the end. I also desperately needed a cigarette and I don’t smoke. 😜 It was hard to stop listening to it!

message 282: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments That is exactly how I remember it Geri. It made me a fan of Alice Clayton for wanting a funny hot and steamy romance.

Book: Bully (Fall Away, #1) by Penelope Douglas
Author: Penelope Douglas
Read: 4/30/20
Pages: 333 ( Kindle Edition)
How it fits: we chose to use the list All Time Favorite Romance Novels (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1... ) and my book was number 516 on the list

message 285: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments I tried Linda to post the completion post it wasn’t as nice as yours hopefully she still accepts it 🤷🏾‍♀️

message 286: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31754 comments All your posts were good, I just needed the list and the number - making it pretty or linking to the right page are nice, but not necessary. 😉

Here is your next task:

54. Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books of the same sub-genre, but by different authors.

You will need to select the sub-genre, then make sure that all books are by different authors. Make sure you use the Kindle edition page count.

message 287: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments thats okay, I think she will. I think its ok if you dont link anything (at least i saw a lot of different versions) but in that case I think she would need the message numbers of the completion posts!! I completed the tracking post now, though, so it doesn't matter. thank you for checking in!!! I was hoping we would still catch Mkat awake, darn it! Haahah

message 288: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments OH Speaking of Mkat... exact same time we posted LOL!!

I hope contemporary romance still stands for everyone !! I will pick something later today and post it, but I think we won't have any trouble picking different authors.

message 289: by Geri (last edited May 01, 2020 12:24AM) (new)

Geri | 639 comments I’ll be reading Dane's Storm by Mia Sheridan! Sub genre is contemporary romance. 370 pages kindle

message 290: by Laura (new)

Laura | 2514 comments Only Love (One and Only, #3) by Melanie Harlow by Melanie Harlow
330 pages

Total= 403

message 291: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments Deal with the Devil (Forge Trilogy, #1) by Meghan March I’m going with this one. I might be able to get through two 🤞🏾

message 292: by Laura (new)

Laura | 2514 comments Alissa’s book puts our total at 671

message 293: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments Just to clarify... it has to be tagged as Romance > Contemporary Romance, right? Not Romance and Contemporary seperately? Like, for example, Frankly in Love would not count?

message 294: by Laura (new)

Laura | 2514 comments Right, it wouldn’t count. Our three books are all tagged as you said
Romance >Contemporary Romance

message 295: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments Okay. so then I guess I will read Punk 57. I would have put it in a different genre but it says on the main page Romance > Contemporary Romance so I will roll with it. I already have it on my Kindle. (If anyone thinks this pick is too risky, please tell me, I can look for something else!!)

343 pages. so we are at a total of 1014 Pages. We would need 1 more shorty.

message 296: by Geri (new)

Geri | 639 comments We do not need more books! Our total is 370 + 330 + 275 + 343 = 1318 pages.

message 297: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments Whoops, you're right. Perfect !!!

message 298: by Geri (new)

Geri | 639 comments Correction Alissa’s book is 268 on kindle. We are still over 1200.

So, I read Punk 57. It’s misleading- it’s tagged young adult because it’s about teenagers set in high school but the subject matter is adult with several topics that can be difficult to read about. Maybe I didn’t like it because it was such an accurate depiction of high school life?
I thought it was a total train wreck but couldn’t stop reading.
Perhaps you will like it more especially since you didn’t mind the other Douglas book you read.

message 300: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 161 comments Nice I will definitely finish mine today!
