I made a list upthread with all the books I've got on my shelves from the 60s and 70s and it looks like there were more for the 70s. (Crossing my fingers we don't get this one; alternately, that the task will be expanded to SET IN the decade?)
My Birth month is November.
Besides LAW/Lauren Gallagher/Lori Witt and Lisa Henry/DiscontentedWinter...there is also:
Joel Abernathy/LC Davis
Macy Blake/Poppy Dennison
Rinda Elliot/Dani Worth
Josh Lanyon/Diana Killian
Avery Blake/Jaclyn Osborne
Nealy Wagner/Sarina Bowen
There are definitely more who like Rinda write under a different name for MM, but I can't remember them off the top of my head. Also, some who write under different names for fanfiction like Lisa...I'm thinking Dessa Lux is Dira Sudis for some reason but can't figure out why! (Dira Sudis is SOMEONE who publishes, though...not sure which of my friends I had this conversation with, ARGH!)
Anywho, I totally mis-read that task because I had NO IDEA that Nora Roberts was JD Robb. I don't read either, but those two genres are so disparate that it didn't register. For some reason, I was thinking it was a single name tag team, like Merikan, Stephanie Lake, Christina Lauren, etc. OOPS!

How it qualifies: . But hip surgery ended the glamour and drama, and now Teddy is recovering at his beach house, lost and listless.

Yes, MM Romance will count as a sub-genre.
For #32 - It just has to be tagged as 'favorite', it does not have to MPG.
So if its called , can we go with MM Romance, that would be easier.

Same for me.

LA Witt - Lori A. Witt
Susan Hawke - Susi Hawke
Austin Bates - Aiden Bates
SE Jakes - Stephanie Tyler

Still ploughing through my book. Have to read this one, so it always takes me longer ;)

Task 3 - Beach Location

Until the Stars Fall by Abigail Kade

How it Fits: Fairpoint, Alabama is a quiet coastal town... (per precis)
Date Completed: 17Apr2020

Review: So, after reading the prologue I realized that I was NOT getting my sorta Hart of Dixie - type story, and I was perfectly okay with that because the intro was pretty engaging...
And this was a perfectly serviceable romance story, with some really hot sex scenes, and working it's way to a likely comfortable 3.25 Star rating...
And then came the blackmail scheme.
No, not one with an ex doing the blackmail, either. This was the entire family/friend circle of our protagonists (including the MCs) who decided that it would be a good idea to scare off a pushy ex by 1) tricking him into thinking that he was being "taken back" and had been missed while broken up, 2) conned into performing sex acts via Skype/FaceTime that were being recorded in order to 3) threaten him with said video being released to his grandparents which would serve to disinherit him, severing his upcoming trust fund access...with a lovely side of also embarrassing his State Senator father.
Talk about overkill. How about just blocking his number, unfriending him from social media...and if worse came to worse, getting a restraining order? The guy wasn't dangerous (unlike the OTHER ex) and this was completely unnecessary. That guy's family either knew or ignored his being gay, but the potential for ruination so blatantly trotted out like that was worse than revenge porn IMHO.
Dropped to 2.5 because of it.
That said, I did read the sneak peak of the next book and I will probably, at some point read it. Going on the Back-Burner, though.

Teddy is recovering at his beach house after hip surgery, there he meets Finn, his next door neighbour.
I liked that their HEA wasn't easy and both men had their own demons.

(I'm very appreciative because I've finally made a dent in my Treasurer books that I hate doing, but have to get done very soon!)

There looks to be only us and 1 other team waiting for task 4.

If we need to make recommendations, these are my current picking shelves - just not sure if they will be long enough. I'll make sure it has 50 books on it before I go to bed :)

71. Read 6 books with alliteration in the title or author's name.
The alliteration needs to be within the book title or the author, not a combination of both. And I'm afraid this one is going to be too easy for you!

I really liked Liam and felt so sorry for him. He and Mike seemed like a good fit but:
1. This book takes place over the period of a week. So very much insta love.
2. Mike liked to dominate in bed and surprise, surprise Liam is all for it. I really get p***** off when the dom meets a bloke and just knows he likes to be submissive in bed..urgh!
Apart from that the book was a very easy quick read.

Review: Despite the numerous mentions of inappropriately timed boners and copious masturbation, this read as much younger than the MCs' age of 18. And because I've managed to stumble my way into reading/listening to some exceptional YA stories this month (quite a few, actually)...well, to me this was just a little better than okay. Kind of suffered from a lack of focus or direction with the characterization as well.
