The Amazing Race Team Challenge - Loitering Layabouts (1)

Interesting but a bit gory.

I guess I'd..."
Some experiences are super-stressful and real estate is definitely one for me. Whether its buying, selling or renting - I find them all really difficult.
My husband and I have to carry Panadol around when we do it (fortunately it doesn't happen more than once a decade or so!) and we can't sustain more than a couple of hours. We both get really short-tempered! 🙄 ...So I'm not surprised you started acting outside your normal personality!
Anyway - love the idea of that openness right next to the house - without random bodies 🤪

Great you are picking it up again 🤗 Getting back to some level of normality!
We will be branding cattle tomorrow, but will hopefully be done by lunch so my afternoon should be open...

We will have done 29 tasks. Not bad considering I thought I could only do 2 books a week.

And leading the way....lol

When she said University to use, that's literally the first thing I thought of, LOL!

Well, I used to get 3-5 shifts doing the samples (at Sam's) but I'm lucky to get 2, now cleaning the store. It's work, so there's that.
Costco is going to start a limited sample run starting next month, and I'm hoping we'll do the same...but if that means no more cleaning and the rest of the crew decide to come back (they "were hired to cook and put out samples, not clean like a janitor") it might mean even fewer shifts.
IDK...just gotta wait it out.
Sure do wish the census people would get back to me. Had my fingerprints done for background check back in March but as long as we've got restrictions in place, they're not going to fill the spots.

Hope things start picking up for you Michaelle!!

45. Read 4 books by one of the 2020 FACs.
I'll be nice and let you know who they are so you don't have to go searching. 😉
January - Tessa Bailey
February - Jeaniene Frost
March - T.J. Klune
April - Julia Quinn
May - Sarina Bowen
June - Nora Roberts
And yes, you can use June too. 😊

I even downloaded the only MM Book I havent read.

Hoping Hello Forever is as good as its prequel.

***
Which is fine. We can read a co-authored book for this task.

...I'm going to give the MF option a go first but its a college story. Last one of hers that was college-based I dnf'd. So if that happens again, I'll move back to an MM option :D

All I kept thinking about whilst I was reading this book was that it was very similiar to a story I had already read. Its an ok story though. Life in collegeland.

This was so much better than I expected. I like SB's work in general, but the last book I tried to read by her (MM) was a DNF. And College books can really irritate me. But the MCs are generally down to earth and trying to get on with their lives, not stuck in College politics and cr4p. So this was a winner for me and I'm so glad I have finally read it!

It should be quite a closing week. The other team is also a MM Team.

Thanks Lisa - I was out doing some exercise at long last! As everyone comes out of isolation with their only outlet having been some exercise outside, I'm only just starting 🤣

Rarely. I live in the middle of brown snake country and I probably see one each year... Nige sees a few more! Maybe 5-10 a year?
I used to see more at our last farm which also had red-belly black snakes which aren't quite as poisonous.
Browns are always more dangerous in Spring/Summer. But if you stomp around, they feel the vibrations and will generally get out of your way. I'm pretty paranoid though. Even on my walk/jog now I keep my eyes peeled and will only walk on cleared tracks...
Having said that, our Jack Russell Terrier has survived for more than 14 years in snake country if that's any indication 🤪

... Same goes for our Mods here 😁

I was hoping you would post your thoughts on this one. It was recommended to me repeatedly a while back, but I never got around to trying the series until the audio came out. I am so leery of YA and even NA - can't deal with the angst! But I really liked this series, the MCs are young, but dealing with real life in grown up ways and that worked for me.

Yes - this book was about the people and their challenges. I hate the ones that are about friction in college - blah blah blah. I know I've read another book in the series since that's how book 1 made it on my list to read (5 years ago!). Will have to see what the rest of the series looks like now :)
