Hi Shannon - could you update to 'Completion' please :)
I'll double check the editions soon and I'll post in the Q&A thread.

How to Steal a Thief came out yesterday and The Vampire's Club Book Seven came out this morning but there isnt a page count on either GR or Amazon.

I haven't seen X's vampire series before. I'm guessing its good given you are up to book 7?

Good to know. I'll see what you think and how many are in audio :)

Yep - looks like it. So far X has published through to book 5 in audio, so seems like I could get them through to 7 with the last two books coming out together I suspect :)

I added a page count. It's 171.

I didn't realize they disappeared eventually. That's weird!!

Thank you

I hate this app.

Thats good for me because the cat is usually called around 8pm my time which means I have some time to read before bed.

83. Read 8 books set in NYC.
The books need to be set in New York City, not New York State. Remember to let me know how you know the book is set in NYC - precis, title, tags, lists. The qualification doesn't not need to specifically say NYC - it could be Manhattan, Wall Street, Times Square, Central Park, Broadway, etc.

How it qualifies: ( from the precis) : Tristan Green left his small English town for Manhattan and a job at a high profile ad agency, but can’t seem to find his bearings.

How it qualifies (from the precis):
Quinten is a young mage just trying to get by, but New York isn't the easiest city to make a living.

I'd ask them. I constantly move my books around so that I get audios with whispersync/KU. Maybe its a time thing - but could also be a glitch :)

I actually started listening to it at work (needed 'baby' for a Find it in the Title challenge) so it was serendipity.

Sometimes I hate sticking to New Years' resolutions because I hate that I'm lowing the rating. I still liked it quite a bit, but it's not 4 stars compared to some of the other books I've rated that high. I did like the narration by Aleks Esquire (it was the story & some of the characterization and not the performance that influenced the change) and loved the art appreciation, though.
(And I've since gone to a museum and I DID tilt my head to look at some of the paintings! I doubt they were hung incorrectly but it did change the feelings invoked on at least 1.)
Original Rating 14Nov2018: 4 Stars
I...was not expecting to like this as much as I did. Which is odd; it's not the first book this week that has surprised me with how much I liked it, and it's not even the first one this week by this author. A bit funny, a bit angsty, a bit ridiculous and a bit sexy. I loved the second-chance romance aspect, and I adored the side characters.
Having so many people introduced can often overwhelm the story being told for the first set of MCs in any series. Not so here. We get a solid feel for who each of those guys are (and there's A LOT of 'em) but without sacrificing Jay and Luke's story. It's a slow burn, where these guys reconnect after 10 years...but it's worth the wait. The supporting plot was interesting enough without overshadowing the romance, and the climax was to die for. (Side Note: I totally called that new pairing at the end way back when Robert first kept asking Luke to forgive his father.)
Anywho, loved the artist aspect as well. I'm totally gonna just tilt my head next time I go to an art gallery...
I'm not sure who is up next in the series but I'm totally on board. See there's this Omega who seems to be a total badass and the biggest/muscly of the whole gang...and I want him with the Russian smart-ass Alpha. So *crossing fingers* maybe they're next?

Review: There's something about Andrew Grey books that make them comfort-reads. A little drama (in this case, literally!), some hot sexy times, and a lot of romance with some interesting characters...and you've got a great formula for an easy read. It's not formulaic; it's just that when you pick up one of his books you know what you're gonna get - and rarely do they disappoint.
Tristan James did a great job with the narration of this high-school enemies to adult lovers story. I appreciated the character growth as well. Took a lot of guts for Payton to admit he'd underestimated Beckett, and for Beckett to take that teenage anger at being outed and channel it into a successful career.

4 stars. I've been trying to get to this book for months, so I'm pleased it fit this category so nicely :) Two MCs with a lot of baggage see through facades and help to heal each other... I enjoyed both diverse personalities - there's a lot of second-guessing but of course, it all works out ;)

4 stars. I enjoyed this more in audio. Perhaps also because I was already aware of the contrary character of MC Derek who is still trying to work himself out...? He was my main reservation from my initial reading.
