Charisse Moritz | 115 comments Hi Crystal,
I would be delighted to provide an Epub, Mobi, PDF, kindle or paperback copy of my mature YA romance novel, Shakespeare Burning. I am always looking for honest reviews. You can connect with me here or get in touch thru my email at ugarps@yahoo.com. I have included a brief blurb below:

He’s the boy who wants to disappear.

One mistake & seventeen-year-old Shake LeCasse lost everything. Now there’s no going back and no way to move forward. The once-popular hockey captain is living in the basement of a grandmother he barely knows, ditching school, avoiding friends & working hard on self-destruction.

She’s the girl nobody sees.

Cleo Lee survives however she can. Lie, cheat, steal, & saving Mr. Popular isn’t part of the plan. Telling him the truth about the night that destroyed his life is downright dangerous. She needs to keep quiet, be smart and let the guy she’s been half in love with since middle school throw away a future she’d do anything to have. Too bad her heat can’t resist, no matter the cost.

Brief Synopsis:
It’s been said, if you were to start your own business, chances of you returning to prison were slim. So, the S-man did just that. On the road to success, and eager for a brighter future, he wound up doing those same things that he'd vowed never to do never do again. The business of transporting, and smuggling goods across state lines is what gives him a continuous amount of motivation. But everybody knows, behind every good man there’s a good woman, and he believes the love of his life keeps him on track.
Those long, lonely days in prison were used meeting contacts and setting things up for the future. While others thought he was wasting his time, he knew otherwise. His charismatic ways have always attracted the right people in his life. From the woman he wants to marry one day, all the way down to gathering resources and planning his life like a professional chess player.
In the beginning, though, it was rough for him, adjusting to freedom after so many years in prison. B kept him up to date with all the happenings, the funerals, who came home and who went in. He cherished those 20-minute phone calls. So did the others, separated from their families. It’s a billion-dollar business that he didn’t care for, promising himself never to see the inside of a prison cell again.
B had bad vibes and had told him so the first night he’d spent at her apartment. Of course, having her man back meant everything, but she hoped that he’d changed, and would have his mind on positive things.

Hi Crystal! I have a light-hearted crime mystery that I wonder if you'd enjoy - I've posted the blurb below :)

Everyone knows that witches aren't real. And yet when the sleepy village of Habely is rocked by a series of bizarre murders and James Pettyfer is arrested after being caught whilst disposing of the bodies, he claims that he was made to do it by Elodia Knight - a lady who's capable of magic and can get into other people's souls. While everyone else is sceptical of the claims, local Police Typist Armitage Black is nothing but intrigued about what's going on. Ignoring the warnings of her best friend, Angie Fallows, and the reprimands from Detectives investigating the case, Armitage delves into her own enquiries about what Knight is up to and why she's doing it - but the more she finds out, the more questions she has.Armitage is determined to get to the bottom of Knight's plan and work out how she's making herself appear to be a witch - but Knight won't let anything stop her from achieving what she set out to do. As Armitage becomes more and more involved in the case, she finds herself becoming a target of Knight - and becomes embroiled in a battle of wits and determination that has the highest of stakes to everyone involved.

Just let me know if this is something you're interested in!

Thank you,

Lisa.

Martin Owton | 116 comments Hi Crystal.
I have a non-epic adventure fantasy book that I can send you the ebook of Exile

Aron of Darien, raised in exile after his homeland is conquered by a treacherous warlord, makes his way in the world on the strength of his wits and skill with a sword. Both are sorely tested when he is impressed into the service of the Earl of Nandor to rescue his heir from captivity in the fortress of Sarazan. The rescue goes awry. Aron and his companions are betrayed and must flee for their lives. Pursued by steel and magic, they find new friends and old enemies on the road that leads, after many turns, to the city of the High King. There Aron must face his father’s murderer before risking everything in a fight to the death with the deadliest swordsman in the kingdom.

Drop me a PM if this sounds interesting

K. Ritz | 4 comments Hi Crystal,
You wrote: I'm sorta new to this whole review thing and I was hoping that someone out there might be able to hook me up with some books that I can read and review.

Clearly I am sorta new to learning how to promote my book. I told you nothing about the story at all. My thanks to all of the good writers who showed me how things should be done. Yet I'm still uneasy promoting my own work.

Here's how one reviewer, Frank Watson, described it:

There is much to like in SHEEVER’S JOURNAL, DIARY OF A POISON MASTER by K. Ritz.

One quality might seem strange, so let me get it out of the way first.

Many adventure/fantasy writers place their stories in well-developed alternative, dark worlds filled with strange countries and cultures that are vaguely reminiscent of medieval or post-apocalyptic times in which magic and sorcery are as common as casual violence and swordplay. Perhaps the master of this is Robert E. Howard in his “sword and sorcery” stories such as those about Conan the Barbarian.

Ritz has developed such a setting, though his protagonist is not a swashbuckling adventurer who is “just passing through” a city or kingdom. Rather, Sheever, his protagonist, is a menial cook. It is as if the spotlight in one of Howard’s stories has shifted hero deciding the fate of worlds to a person who might have been anonymous in a sword and sorcery story.

Same type of world. Different focus.

Now. That is out of the way. Let’s look at less strange qualities that make this story worthwhile.

One of the most enjoyable to me is the plot, which is as subtle as a New Yorker story. It plays out in leisurely fashion, told in the form of journal entries. Entry by entry we learn about Sheever’s back story as a trained assassin, the complex cultures of his world, the large and small challenges, victories, and defeats of the world of a common cook.

The plot might be difficult to summarize, though I might suggest it involves Sheever coming to terms with himself, perhaps seeking absolution for his decisions and actions. It also involves discussion about belief, fate, and justice.

This is not a short book, but Ritz keeps our interest through his well-developed, and subtle, characters in the alien (to us) setting.

As with many “literary” stories, there are questions that remain unanswered. Whether this is a plus or minus depends upon the reader’s ability to handle ambiguities in fiction.
In my mind, however, Ritz’s ability to explore a “sword and sorcery” world in such a “literary” fashion makes this well worth the reading.

Thank you, Mr. Watson.
Crystal, I'm sure you have already chosen books you want to read. In future, however, if you're seeking more, please keep mine in mind.

Stumbling along in the real world --- K Ritz

Chris Mullen (chrismullenwrites) Hi
If you're up for a Western Adventure my book may be a good fit for your action adventure interest. Rowdy: Wild and Mean, Sharp and Keen is my first novel. Here is a brief description...

An orphaned teenage boy’s fight for survival leads him down the Mississippi and across the old west confronting life and death decisions that force him to stand for what is right, regardless of the cost. Fighting for what was right is his code. Living life for others becomes his way. Staring danger in the face is what he must do if he is truly Wild and Mean, Sharp and Keen.

If this is a story that interests you it is available for free on Kindle Unlimited or I can send you a PDF copy. Thank you!
