Posting mini challenges with the RAT this year as lots of readers like to plan and that may be a little more difficult this year with many libraries closed.
I don't mind signing up first! I love the RAT's. It's fun seeing what everyone is reading and I like the chatting about our books. Hope to see some familiar faces from last year and some new ones!Laura 's Spot

Who is ready to start reading tomorrow?? Gosh, this date sneaked up on me. I 'm going to finish
. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is reading and their reading progress!
Once again, all my reading plans got derailed (I read Coming in First Place on Monday and have since done a deep-dive into this 'verse and am rereading all my favorite stories), but I'm still going to try to participate in this as much as possible! I'm going to continue listening to my audiobook of Madame Bovary and will also try to get as much of A Thousand Ships done as possible cause my library loan runs out in two days & it's a slower read.
✿Which part of the world are you reading from?Did you participate in our Earth Day RAT last year?
What book(s) do you hope to finish today?
I'm reading from Canada- East coast
I did participate in the Earth Day RAT last year. I love read a thons!
I'm hoping to finish both
&
before I finish reading for the RAT today!
I'm super excited for this today! My grandson has a "catch up day" for school today, but he has been keeping up with all of his lessons, so I have little work to do with him. That means more reading time for me! I would love to finish two books that I have started and make progress on a third.
- starting at 75%, want to finish
- starting at 50%, would love to finish, but hope to at least make progress
- starting at 30% and want to make progress to maybe 50%I'll be adding some of the mini-challenges to my original post and will link them all at once with my update later. Happy RAT day everyone!
Not unexpectedly, I failed at reading what I was supposed to, but I did get 90 pages of Madame Bovary done when I went for a walk. And then I read what amounts to around 300 pages of what comes after Coming in First Place which - it's basically my favorite thing in the whole wide world so I had a grand time and I'm SO SAD I've finished this storyline.
We always talk about hosting more RAT's..if we have one next month would a weekend work better or a different day of the week? 24 hrs? What would you all prefer?

I don't have any preference about when we do it but some longer ones might be nice.
I've made it to 58% in Lethal Bayou Beauty (further than planned!) and made some good progress on Unfollow Me. I'm taking a bit of a break now, but still plan to finish Unfollow Me tonight. Pretty happy with my progress so far.

Sophie, you would prefer 48 hours rather than 24?
Laura wrote: "We always talk about hosting more RAT's..if we have one next month would a weekend work better or a different day of the week? 24 hrs? What would you all prefer?"
I enjoy any RAT. :) I can normally do most days because my schedule fluctuates. I like the 24 hours, but would also be open to 48 hours or even a week long. I'd pretty much try whatever you come up with.
I'm happy with 24, 48, or week longs. Might be nice to have a variety so people can pick and choose. Sometimes it's nice having a short one because it's not too much of a commitment, sometimes it feels like I'd love a longer one so that I can cross more books off my list. But I'm honestly happy with whatever, I just love RAT. They always make me feel so motivated.
I was able to get through 123 pages (36%) of The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewel. Not bad for a severe migraine day!
Shannon wrote: "I was able to get through 123 pages (36%) of The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewel. Not bad for a severe migraine day!"That's excellent for a migraine day! Hope you're feeling better today.
