Mini challenges are optional. Do one, do all, pick and choose which you want to do to give yourself a break from reading! Since Earth Day is celebrating 50 years we want to throw a few tasks in the mix to be in sync with the 50th anniversary.

✿Which part of the world are you reading from?
Did you participate in our Earth Day RAT last year?
What book(s) do you hope to finish today?

✿Read/or start a book with 50 in the page count.

✿Read/or start a book in which characters celebrate an anniversary

✿Read /or start a book that has a cover showing people celebrating
(open to interpretation)

✿Spell out Earth Day using books you've read in last year (since last Earth Day)

✿Keeping it green: Post your favorite green colored cover.

✿Check out the Flag of Earth. Read a book with a blue and white cover.

✿Read/or start a book about climate change.

✿Need a mini break? Try out one of these cool Quizzes, then let us know how you scored!

Posting mini challenges with the RAT this year as lots of readers like to plan and that may be a little more difficult this year with many libraries closed.

Laura | 9707 comments Who is ready to start reading tomorrow?? Gosh, this date sneaked up on me. I 'm going to finish Crow by Amy Spurway . Looking forward to seeing what everyone is reading and their reading progress!

message 22: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4065 comments Once again, all my reading plans got derailed (I read Coming in First Place on Monday and have since done a deep-dive into this 'verse and am rereading all my favorite stories), but I'm still going to try to participate in this as much as possible!

I'm going to continue listening to my audiobook of Madame Bovary and will also try to get as much of A Thousand Ships done as possible cause my library loan runs out in two days & it's a slower read.

Laura | 9707 comments ✿Which part of the world are you reading from?

I'm reading from Canada- East coast
I did participate in the Earth Day RAT last year. I love read a thons!
I'm hoping to finish both Crow by Amy Spurway & Hooked (Romance on the Edge, #2) by Tiffinie Helmer before I finish reading for the RAT today!

message 24: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments I'm super excited for this today! My grandson has a "catch up day" for school today, but he has been keeping up with all of his lessons, so I have little work to do with him. That means more reading time for me! I would love to finish two books that I have started and make progress on a third.

Unfollow Me by Charlotte Duckworth - starting at 75%, want to finish
Big Lies in a Small Town by Diane Chamberlain - starting at 50%, would love to finish, but hope to at least make progress
Lethal Bayou Beauty (Miss Fortune Mystery #2) by Jana Deleon - starting at 30% and want to make progress to maybe 50%

I'll be adding some of the mini-challenges to my original post and will link them all at once with my update later. Happy RAT day everyone!

message 26: by Laura (new)

Laura | 9707 comments I finally finished a book! I started at 32% and finished this one:
Hooked

message 27: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4065 comments Not unexpectedly, I failed at reading what I was supposed to, but I did get 90 pages of Madame Bovary done when I went for a walk. And then I read what amounts to around 300 pages of what comes after Coming in First Place which - it's basically my favorite thing in the whole wide world so I had a grand time and I'm SO SAD I've finished this storyline.

I don't have any preference about when we do it but some longer ones might be nice.

Sophie, you would prefer 48 hours rather than 24?

I enjoy any RAT. :) I can normally do most days because my schedule fluctuates. I like the 24 hours, but would also be open to 48 hours or even a week long. I'd pretty much try whatever you come up with.

message 34: by Sophie (new)

Sophie | 182 comments I'm happy with 24, 48, or week longs. Might be nice to have a variety so people can pick and choose. Sometimes it's nice having a short one because it's not too much of a commitment, sometimes it feels like I'd love a longer one so that I can cross more books off my list. But I'm honestly happy with whatever, I just love RAT. They always make me feel so motivated.
