I finished chapter 2 and started chapter 3. I love aunt Dahlia so much :D Her telegrams are so hilarious!

I thought so too. His hesitation in answering her was also hilarious.
And my favorite telegram ever:
Am taking legal advice to ascertain whether strangling an idiot nephew counts as murder. If it doesn't, look out for yourself.
Aunt Dahlia is the best :D Poor Spink Bottle :D
Also:
Deeply regret Brinkley Court hundred miles from London, as unable to hit you with brick.
:D:D:D:D

I made to chapter 10 last night.
:D Oh wow. I have some catching up to do. I had to work all day today and didn't have time :( But I have nothing tomorrow afternoon, so I'll get there :D

No worries, I had an empty house. My husband had an all-day appointment. Otherwise, he gets in the way of my reading. LOL
OMG, Gussie in love is SO pathetic :D "especially when you see her sideways. Have you seen her sideways?" :D
Sorry, it took me all day to catch up with you… I finished chapter 10, and now I'm really really tired..
I got to chapter 15. Bertie should really not get involved in stuff :D:D:D
I forget Madeline is in there, too. God's daisy chains… That girl is so weird!

I got to chapter 20 today! I adore aunt Dahlia so much :D
"Atilla," she said at length. "That's the name. Atilla the Hun." "Eh?" "I was trying to think who you reminded me of. Somebody who went about strewing ruin and desolation and breaking up homes which, until he came along, had been happy and peaceful. Atilla is the man. It's amazing," she said, drinking me in once more. "To look at you, one would think you were just an ordinary sort of amiable idiot- certifiable, perhaps, but quite harmless."

Teehee!
White jackets rarely look good on anyone. IMO. =))

Haha! IKR?
"It seemed hopeless to go on trying to steam up such a human jellyfish."
ROFL!

Oh! I am sorry.
From now on take your time. BR should not feel like homework. We can try to do a couple of chapters a night instead.

I will catch up. I had no time to read yesterday.
LOL.
"And then you go on about how to twilight always makes you sad. I know you're going to say it doesn't, but on this occasion, it has jolly well got to."
Cracks me up!

The insults are OTT hilarious.

No worries. I ended up watching the two episodes based on this one in the meantime.
I just had a few really busy days at the beginning of the week, and didn't feel like reading.
:D I liked that little scene with Bertie and Gussie. It might be one of the few times he's giving good advice :D:D:D

So true :D I think someone either had some very bad experiences with aunts, or was just really creative :D

Right?? I wish I could think like that sometimes.
Same. I wish there was a way to sneak Shakespeare insults into a conversation with people actually understanding just how insulted they just were :D

I can't post the stupid picture I want to, so. Link to amazon…

I am so getting this for my friend. Plus the band-aids.
Spink-Bottle, the prize giver :D So hilarious. I love the guilty looks on the boys' faces when they realize just how bad drunk Gussie is :D:D:D
Wait til you hear Jeeves continue the story. It's awesome :D

I will finish it, but it is going to take a few days.
The last couple of days has been hard.
We had a 400-acre fire Monday 7 miles from where we were staying; it took all day to contain, but it is fine now. We thought we might have to evacuate, so I was very stressed. On top of that, the phones were out across the US. With the fire blacking out the sun and the phones not working, I felt like the world was ending. NO LIE!!
Then yesterday, I woke up with a significant migraine due to the stress.
Plus, my husband's grandmother is dying of heart failure. She is 94 and has had a long life but it is still very sad.
I am really sorry. I know nothing can make this better, but I'm listening if you want to talk. I hope you'll be ok. It's sucky to lose someone in this weird time (we had to bury my grandma with just my parents and my uncle and his wife a few weeks back), and it sucks that we -and they- have to go through this mostly alone.
Not that the migraine helps. I got from from the weird weather we're having, and I am not happy.
I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling right now. I hope at least the weather will get better soon?
Stay safe!

I appreciate you, and thanks. I am feeling better today. The fire was contained, and the headache is gone. They are sending "Lila" home to pass peacefully and not in a hospital bed. This all feels surreal, like a crazy dream.
I will message you if I need to talk. ***Hugs***
That's something at least. And much better for her to be home.
I wish there were something more I could say besides "I'm sorry".

:D I love the way he says "Indeed, sir." :D
I also LOVE the next book. THE COW CREAMER!!! SPODE!!!! :D:D:D

Behind every poor, innocent, harmless blighter who is going down for the first time in the soup, you will find, if you look carefully enough, the aunt who shoved him into it.
MUAHAHA :D
MUAHAHA :D

MUAHAHA :D"
Hehehehe! I love how Bertie seemingly and unknowingly insults himself.
True. He's not very bright, that one :D But oh so adorable. I wonder what would've happened to him without Jeeves. Probably married off pretty soon to someone like Florence (was that the domineering bossy one that reminded Jeeves of Aunt Agatha???)

The cruise is also hilarious. I would die to go on a cruise like that and he is not interested. :o
I always wonder how he got away with calling her "Stiffy" :D
I feel really bad for poor Gussie in this one. He is such an idiot, but still. Poor thing :D
:D Of curse you would. Me, I get seasick just looking at a boat, so no cruise. EVER :D
