Thank you Hil :-) Jilly Jackson in By the Light of the Moon is one of my favorites. I also love Holly Thorne & Jim Ironheart in Cold Fire. Will think of others I'm sure.

in the opening to THE CITY....
My name is Jonah Ellington Basie Hines Eldridge Wilson Hampton Armstrong Kirk = whew !!
I also like Odd's soulmate's name Stormy.

That's certainly a stupidly-long name Betsy! And yes Stormy Llewellin had a silly name, but it is quite pretty.

Well the character is an evil clown, so I suppose it works. But the book says that's what he was christened!

This is weird (and off topic) but I'd never even heard of an elf on a shelf until last weekend, and now I've heard them mentioned 3 times since! Strange how that happens.

-Relentless

It's become a popular Christmas tradition among people I know who have children. The elf sits in a spot and then is in a different place each day. It keeps an eye on the kids and reports to Santa on how the kids have been behaving. Personally, it seems to me that the elves must be stalkers. ;)

My favorite Koontz novel! And I agree, very strange, but accurate. (Edgy, a "foreman" referring to the house and it's construction, and "vess"tige). At least, that was my interpretation. =)

Like cctv...Big Brother is watching! I find this creepy.

From the Corner of His Eye
Edglar Foreman Vess--"fortunate and powerful, dweller of the boundary...more good names for psychopath. From Intensity.
I literally believe that Koontz sits at home thinking of the most unique names he can...or uses a "Sims" name generator. ;)
