SOLVED. Childrens book- two sisters who argue all the time [s]

About two sisters (witches or princesses?) who constantly argued. I think one was short, fat and blonde and the other tall and skinny. They go on some sort of quest together and I think they become closer as a result of their journey. I read this years ago as part of the schools reading programme.

ZDoyle, is this a picture book around 32 pages, or a much longer chapter book with a few pictures?

What kind of pictures - cartoony/realistic, sunny/dark/black-and-white colors, etc.?

What kind of challenges or dangers do the two sisters, or their kingdom, face?
