Louisa | 2 comments Hello, my name is PJ I'm 30 years old and I'm from the UK. I have definitely come into the reading challenge late but, I really love the prompt list to help curate what I read for the rest of the year. I'm excited to see what fits on the prompts from my 'read' and 'currently reading' list too. Excited to be a part of this group, and also, excited to take inspiration from others too.

Jenn ~ Smalltown Bookworm (smalltown_bookworm) Hi there, I'm Jenn. I'm from USA. Would love to add new friends so my GoodReads feed is filled with beautiful quotes and more book recs :)

yoyi (yoyijq) Hi there! I'm Yoyi from Chile. I followed pop sugar challenges before in secret, but now I want it to be different! I'm starting late and I'd love to read your comments about your progress!
I joined GoodReads many years ago when I was a teenager and I didn't know anything about this! I'd be nice to add some friends!

message 2157: by Irene (last edited Aug 30, 2021 11:41PM) (new)

Irene (irene_marie) | 7 comments Hello, I am Irene. I am from Maryland, just outside the DC area. I am trying to read more & have stumbled into these reading challenges. I know I am a bit too late for the 2021 challenge, but I might try to check off a few prompts in the time left. Looking forward to giving 2022 a full attempt! Appreciate any recommendations, both inside my typical genres and outside. Trying to see what happens when I hit something outside my typical interests.

message 2158: by Juanita (new)

Juanita I | 1 comments Hello hello! My name is Juanita and I happened to find this group by chance. I'm joining pretty late in the game but I'm gonna try my best to catch up :) I'm currently into queer fiction, comedic science fiction, and mythology.

message 2159: by Didi (new)

Didi (davie916) | 4 comments Hi! I'm Didi and just moved to Arizona from Florida. I attempted and failed the reading challenge last year and may actually succeed in completing the one for 2021.

I'm excited to find a reading group for this challenge as goodreads is providing a lot of help in picking books out. This group will be an additional supplement for me as I would love to knock this challenge out of the park this year.

message 2160: by Hillary (new)

Hillary (hillaryfedoroff) | 3 comments Hi everyone, I joined awhile back, but life got in the way and I forgot to track my reading or keep up with the prompts.

I'm Hillary, I'm from upstate New York, mom of four ranging from 2 years old up to 18 years old. I'm going to continue reading as usual the remainder of the year and try to check off what prompts I can, and come in hot for 2022!

message 2163: by Killayne (new)

Killayne Kennedy | 2 comments My name is Killayne Kennedy and I'm relatively new to GoodReads and all of these other crazy rabbit-holes I've been falling down lately. I've been reading since I was 3 and remember sneaking into my mom's book collection in about 5th grade and discovered Jackie Collins. Don't think I've ever been the same since. My favorite author is Agatha Christie, and I read mystery/thrillers, romance, sci fi/fantasy (and all its variations), and even some YA titles. I'm working on my very first book of my own, but some days I forget to dig out of whatever book I'm reading and work on my own. I started the 2021 Challenge on January 1st, but got side-tracked and wasn't always keeping track. I'm unfortunately one of those people who has to read a writer's entire bibliography in order, and that means reading a lot of stuff that's not technically "on the challenge list," so I'm busy going through what I did log and what I know I read to get on track. Glad to be on board with the group.

message 2164: by Rishika (new)

message 2166: by CrazyAsACupcake (new)

CrazyAsACupcake | 1 comments Hello! I'm Mog, but most people on here call me Cupcake (from my screenname). I'm a 20 year old Creative Writing student from the UK - I'm aspiring to write YA Romance novels :D. My pronouns are she/her. I've done the PopSugar challenge in other groups - normally averaging around 20 complete - but I think next year I'll attempt the 40 :D.

A few things about me: my favourite books are The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. My favourite TV show is Alice in Borderland. My favourite manga/anime is Haikyu!!. And my favourite songs at the moment are Idea of Her by Cavetown and A TV Show Called Earth by Philip Labes.

I'm so excited to read with you all! Happy reading!

message 2167: by Priscilla (new)

Priscilla | 3 comments Hi - I joined the group yesterday after seeing the Ultimate 2022 Popsugar Reading Challenge on Facebook. I joined that group also. I have been doing the annual Goodreads Reading challenge and read around 30 books a year. Mostly mysteries. Hoping to expand my reading and try new authors next genres. I plan to look at suggestions from other members to find new books to read. I sent my son the list and he already suggested a book with a to peer on the cover, impossible Owls, which I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. This will be fun!

message 2168: by Emma (new)

Emma | 1 comments Hi! I'm Emma, 31-years-old, from Florida.

message 2169: by Ron (new)

Ron | 2708 comments Hi, I'm Ron. Not much to tell really. I've been trying to do these challenges for a while but end up getting sidetracked. I do look forward to attempting it once more.

My main genre is nonfiction however I'm open to other areas as well. At least I've come to be more rounded within this past year.

This whole pandemic thing has gotten me into a reader's binge. Since I have the time if I'm not studying or doing other menial activities I'm reading.

message 2170: by Joshua (new)

Joshua (hitthefunkybeats) | 126 comments I don't remember if I introduced myself, but I may as well.

I'm M, from Canada. Love to read, have been doing a lot more reading since the pandemic. I mainly do manga/graphic novels or YA, but I'm always interested in trying new things.

I'm a firm believer in not reading what you don't like, and will probably bring my DNF nature (one chapter per book, if I don't enjoy it, it leaves) into this challenge with no regrets.

message 2190: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 3 comments Hello! I'm Taylor, from Palm Beach County, Florida. I love lists of books (BBC Big Read Top 100 Books, 100 Epic-Reads-of-a-Lifetime, Boxall's 1001 Books-You-Must-Read-Before-You-Die, and The-Library-of-1000-Books) and have been obsessed with checking off as many as I can! Popsugar is such a fun way to help me to decide which of the 3000+ books from my "bucket list" I should read next! In 2018 I found the Popsugar list and attempted to complete the challenge (46/50). In 2021 I completed all 50 challenges and am determined to be more active in the PS community from now on, starting with this formal introduction!

message 2191: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey I'm Riley (I had another goodreads account under a different name I don't go by any more so made this new one). This is my first time doing a challenge so this should be fun!
I also found more than just this one so maybe I'll get some of my TBR done haha. Feel free to add me if we share books/genres in common and may the odds of finishing this challenge be ever in your favor!

Hi! I'm George, and I live in Birmingham in the UK. I've always been a big reader, and I read across a huge range of genres. I've been finding this year that I've been really struggling to concentrate on books, and I'm hoping the challenge will help me find my reading mojo again.

message 2194: by Alexandra (new)

Alexandra | 2 comments Hi everyone! My name is Alexandra and I live in Australia. I used to be an avid reader but am now wasting a lot of my free time shopping online and using Instagram! I'm hoping the 2022 Popsugar Challenge will help to break my screen addiction and perhaps teach me some things along the way. Thank you for creating this group as it will keep me accountable!

Imagination Meg (imaginationmeg) | 4 comments Hi! I'm Meg and I split time between Norcal & Socal. I heard about this challenge a couple of years ago but have been reading less in recent years and never been able to complete it, so I'm hoping joining this like-minded group might help :)

message 2197: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi! I'm Jess, after 3 years of starting and not completing these challenges, I finally completed it last year for the first time and I'm back for more in 2022! I really loved looking through the community spreadsheet last year for motivation and ideas. I like to read a wide range of genres, and this year I'm looking to fit in some good old fashioned ghost stories in as many places as I can. I always look forward to how the challenge prompts force me to branch out and read things I wouldn't normally gravitate to. Let's be friends!

message 2198: by Alyxis (new)

Alyxis Spencer | 2 comments Hi! I'm Alyxis, this is my first year doing the Popsugar Reading Challenge. I've always loved to read but have never done any of these challenges - my bookshelf is overflowing with to-read books! I haven't been reading as much lately and I think this is a great way for me to get back into reading and I am super excited! I am challenging myself to do the advanced challenge as well. I'm looking forward to all the new books I'll read, especially those I wouldn't have necessarily reached for on my own. :)

message 2199: by Cecile (new)

Cecile Grudzinski Hi!im Cecile and this is my first y attempt at the POPSUGAR reading challenge. I love reading, although I’m not a fast reader. This will be a. Halle b for me, but I look forward to the exposure to books I would not have otherwise chosen.

Célia Cross (romantasy_reads_and_reps) | 6 comments Hi, I'm Celia! I'm from South Carolina, US. This is my first time even hearing about the POPSUGAR reading challenge, but I'm SO excited to be participating this year! I'm hoping to read some backlist books this year, and this challenge seemed for me to reach this goal! I'm also participating in several other reading challenges, so I'm hoping some of the prompts go along with others.
