Hey!I have recently started a bookstagram account named Kitabi Karwan (@kitabikarwan). The idea is not to review books or analyse them, but simply post thought about the book or what chain of thought the book took me on. I try to pair it up with aesthetically pleasing photographs of the book.
It would be great if you could check it out, and spread the word. I am also enthusiastic about engagement groups!
PS: I blog and repost my book reviews at www.thestandingcoin.com
Hello! I'm Katie and I'm currently serving in Peace Corps Thailand, but I am from Chicago! I graduated college in 2018 and have been unable to read for fun since my college career began due to being on the block plan and having to read 120+ pages a night for class. I felt constantly burned out, which was really upsetting for me because as a child I devoured books and reading was my favorite activity. This is my first year doing the challenge and I'm already 9 books in- I'm very excited to be reading for fun again!

Hey everyone! My name is Kimberly, a 42 year old NJ native living in Sarasota County, FL. I've been enjoying reading since my teen years and feel into a rut the last 10 years. I'm doing this challenge to reclaim the love for reading and to devote that time for reading to my own self. I love true crime, funny biographies, self help books, romance, fiction, poetry, you name it. I would love some more friends that enjoy reading and be able to share my challenge successes, good books I've read and see what they are diving into.
Have a great day all and feel free to add as a friend. I can always use new reading inspiration.
Hola everyone! I'm Delia. I'm 35 and hail from central California. I'm married to a wonderful manbearpig and we have 3 cats aka our kiddens. After I got my degree in 2009, I had a hard time getting back into reading and pretty much had a multi-year slump, which lasted until around 2017 and now I'm just devouring everything I can gets my hands on. My favorite genres are fantasy and non-fiction (history), but I'm open to pretty much all genres.I'd really love to complete the PopSugar Challenge this year, including the advanced portion of it. I've already started and I may or may not have peeked in this group a few times prior to joining it, like a total creep lol.
I look forward to discussing with you all and finding recommendations and new friends!
Hi, friends! I'm Sarah. I'm from Rhode Island, and I'm a 21-year-old college senior. I read a lot of YA, though I'm starting to venture into new adult fiction. This is my second year doing the Popsugar Challenge, including the advanced portion. I have certain goals within each category, but in the end, I'm just doing my best.
I can't wait to get to know you all and maybe make some new friends!
Soc, from the west end of Alexandria in the DC metro area. Puerto Rican, born on the 4th of July in the Nation's Capital (so there). I will read just about anything. I do find myself reading all the works of a particular author or of a series and need to explore genres that I would not normally gravitate to. So far, I have learned a lot about Japanese vampires, trans women, and the USO "girls" of WW2. Let the list go on!

Hi everyone, this is Vera! I'm 23, a graduate student who reads pretty much anything and everything that interests me. This is my first year doing the challenge, it just seems a lot of fun to me! Yet I am a slow reader and maybe too often I spend way too long thinking/reflecting/losing in thoughts while I read... It's definitely going to be a challenge for me to complete this challenge haha. Nice to meet you all and feel free to add me as a friend or drop me a message... I'm always open to new ideas, new inspirations and new friends!

Hi my name is Naomi. I am from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I am a single mom to a beautiful little girl. Currently, I am just finishing up Teacher's College and am hoping to pursue a Masters degree in Second Langauge Acquisition at the Faculty of Education in Windsor, Ontario this coming fall. I teach high school in the public board here specializing in English and Business, so naturally, I love to read! This year, especially with all of the time we seem to have off, I would like to make more of a commitment to self-care and that includes taking some downtime to read! I have a small goal of five books, but my larger goal will be the POPSUGAR reading challenge. I need to practice what I preach to my students and my daughter. I love historical fiction, mystery, and fantasy, but I'm hoping to find some new interests this year as well. It is nice to meet you all!

Hello! My husband and I reside in Ohio. I’ve been on good reads for awhile, but have recently become more active in trying to find books to read. Most of my books I have read have been from recommendations on good reads! My favorite author is Emily Giffin, a book that I’ve recently really enjoyed is where the Crawdads sing, little fires everywhere, and the couple next door.

Hello. I thought I would give this a try because I read a lot. Just thought I would give a reading challenge a try!

Hello! I'm a 45 year old mother of 2. I'm a middle school science teacher from Virginia and, like most of you, I love to read. It's almost all fiction and lately I've been getting into mysteries. My new favorites are the CB Strike books. This is my first year participating in this challenge and I'm hoping to finish all 50!

Hello Everyone! Late to the party but hoping to read as many as I can. My initial goal this year was 12 books but with all this time now being spent at home, I thought I'd give this challenge a go.Nice to e-meet you all. Marteen

Hi all. My name is Josie. My reading goal this year is 15 books, but I might go beyond that. I have read 4 books so far this year. I'm doing pretty well with this so far. Good luck everyone!

Hi! I’m Stephanie from New York! Looking to become more inspired to read as I always “mean” to read but never have a moment to actually sit down and make some time for myself! Hoping to find some awesome stories to dive into, and expand my literary mind :)

Hello, my name is Jennifer and I live in Arlington, TX, but I am from Michigan. A friend told me about this reading challenge. I am really excited to get started. I would like to cover all the challenges, but not sure how realistic that is!

Hello everyone, I'm Arunima. I am 19 and I am from India. I recently only got to know about this and I know I'm pretty late but I'll try to check off all the boxes. My favourite genres are fantasy, sci fi and romance.

Hi everyone, I'm Marja and I'm from Finland. This is my first time participating in Popsugar Challenge and I just joined the group, although I've been reading books for the challenge since January. I'm happy if I manage to read 20 books for the challenge because I'm also doing Book Riot's 2020 Read Harder Challenge and Helmet Challenge (a Finnish reading challenge by Helsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries). I'll probably fail them all, but it's fun to try to find books that somehow fit in all three challenges. Anyway, I'll do my best with all three of them. My favorite genres at the moment are historical fiction, romance, contemporary, and YA.
Constantly surprised by how well people in other countries speak English. I wish I spoke another language half so well.

Hello! My name is Rebekah. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. One of my coworkers introduced me to the Pop Sugar reading challenge at the end of last year, so this is my first year trying it. So far it has been fun finding books I want to read that fit on the list. I like to read a lot of different genres, but I tend to read more non-fiction than fiction. I like how this challenge helps me look for books that I might not otherwise have decided to read.

Hello, my name is Emily and I'm new to the popsugar challenge this year. I've already completed 37 of the prompts (I've read 62 books this year so far). I'm looking forward to chatting about books and the prompts with you all. Happy Reading!

Hi everyone! I totally missed that this introductions thread was a thing--I'm Elaine and this is my fourth attempt at the Popsugar challenge. I don't think I've ever finished before, but I'm on track for this year so far! I always like trying to find books--especially from my massive tbr pile--that fit the prompts. This year I've gotten to read a lot of books I've been meaning to read for a long time. Good luck everyone!

Hi all! My name is Maddy,I am almost 16 and from Ontario, Canada. I am an avid reader, aiming for a book a week this year, but with all the time on my hands right now I'm hoping to surpass that. This is my second year doing the Popsugar challenge, hoping to get all 50 books but we will see what happens. I absolutely love historical fiction books, have a big interest in anything based or about WWII, so if you have any suggestions I am up to try them out. I also love YA books and fantasy. My physical to-read pile is quite large, but my online/mental one is miles upon miles long, and growing. Really excited to be a part of this group and share this with people who love reading just as much as I do. Good luck to you all!

Hi. I'm Ashley and I live in Massachusetts. I read a bunch of different things, but my go to tends to be mystery/thrillers. I read some legal thrillers, but not if they focus on law or anything in courtrooms. I have always enjoyed reading, and am trying to do more now that I am done with school and have the time.

Hello everyone! My name is Amari and I live in Virginia. I am a recent college graduate and I finally have the time to read as I wish for the first time in years haha. I wanted to challenge myself this year in order to bring myself back into the world of books. I love mostly mysteries and thrillers and also enjoy some drama. Please feel free to add me on Goodread as I would love to make some new reading buddies throughout this challenge, as I'm sure you all have some great book recommendations and who knows, there could be someone out there like me coming back into reading for leisure after a long hiatus. I know it's almost May, but I've already read some great books that work well with this challenge! I set my goal for 10, but personally I think I can aim higher. Can't wait to see myself grow as a reader!

Hey!!! I'm Alice, I'm a uni student and I live in New Zealand. I really got back into reading last year after a year not reading that much, and when I discovered this challenge a couple of months ago I thought it'd be a perfect way to explore some different books and genres, plus it's just so satisfying to tick things off a list. My original goal was just to get as many as I can, I thought it'd probably be about 20, given that my goal for the year is 24, but I'm already at about 15 so I think I might be able to make it to 50 depending on how busy my year gets. Hope you're all doing super well with the challenge so far, and good luck for the rest of the year!!

Hi, all! I've been working through this challenge since the beginning of the year, but have just found myself with more time to be social on Goodreads so I thought I'd join this group. I'm stuck at home working and because my job is mostly field work, that's leaving me with more reading time than usual! I'm hoping to get through all 50 prompts by the end of the year. I think I have 15 or 16 checked off so far. Here's hoping! Good luck to everyone!

Hello, Fellow Readers!I'm Teri from Northern California. The quarantine has given me extra time to read and wanting to chat about books with other readers.
Since the libraries here shut down, I had to learn how to "ebook". I've always been a paper book reader. Am also working in books on my shelf to read too.
Am looking forward to opening my reading horizons. Feel free to send friend requests if it looks like we might benefit from being friends :-)
I don't think I've posted in this thread before (I looked, but couldn't find myself). Apologies if I overlooked it. I'm Marie from southwestern Illinois. This is my third or fourth year doing this challenge.
I'm also navigating my way through my library system's cloud library service. I was given a Kindle for Christmas a few years ago, too, plus have several overly full bookshelves at home, so while I miss my local library I'm trying to make the best of it.
My local shelter-at-home order has me spending more time not only reading, but crafting and working on projects around the house. There's the unfortunate side as well, but I try to focus on the positives.
I'm pretty open in what I read. I always say I'll try anything at least once. So I'm always looking for good suggestions!
I'm back after being gone for a few years! I am excited to try this challenge and see how many books I can fit into my reading list! My name is Alex. I am a high school math teacher from Georgia. I am starting the final year earning my PhD in Teaching and Learning from Georgia State University. I am taking full advantage of having some extra time at home to clear off my "to read" bookshelf!
Hello! I am Michelle and I am addicted to books of every form.I am from St. Louis, MO and since lockdown I have been looking for someone/group to talk about books I just read, am reading, or want to read. I have never done or heard of the PopSugar Reading Challenge, so I am super excited.
Hi, I am Eli. I have always loved the prompts and design of this challenge and I am so excited to be doing it this year!
I live in Germany and am currently doing a masters in Renewable Energy. Looking forward to reading along with you all!
I’m Meg and I’m a fan of all things that are created in the imagination and extracted onto the page. I love reading and fantasy most of all. Robert Jordan, though flawed, has written some of my favorite characters. Brandon Sanderson is phenomenal at magical systems and world building. Ursula Le Guin makes you care about everyone in her stories. And Michael J Sullivan lets you have a good time. While You simultaneously hate and love every character Joe Abercrombie creates. Recently am trying my hand at sci-fi and am loving the taste. We’ll see where it goes. I also found this ground from the free giveaway of Magic for Liars by Sarah Gailey.
Hi! I'm Fernando from Honduras. I had remained inactive since I joined but I plan on reading like a maniac this years. We're quarantined here so it's a good time to catch up.
I hope you're all safe and well.
Cheers!
Hey, I'm Dana and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I've only really started getting back into reading but I've been high on the buzz of accomplishment I feel when I finish a book. I've already been doing a fair bit of reading these last few months but I thought this challenge would encourage me to branch out and challenge myself even more. Not sure if I'll be able to complete all 40 general prompts but I will definitely try. I've been trying my best not to buy books because I already have a significant physical TBR so I've been utilising the free offers on amazon and apps associated with my library.
Hey, I'm Layla from the UK I love reading and have wanted to join a book club for a while. Suddenly finding loads of time on my hands i thought what better time to join. I actually chose this group because the current book (the tattooist of auschwitz) is one i've been wanting to read for a while so thought it'd be good for me to join. Looking forward to reading some amazing books and having great discussions!

Hi! I'm Abinaya from India. I love reading and I somehow have never come across popsugar challenge until now. It's going to be interesting to read from all the catagories. Hopefully I will be able to complete it!

Hello, my name is Magan and I'm from the states! This is the summer before my senior year so I thought I'd get some reading done and stumbled upon this group. Although I entered about halfway through and probably won't read all of the books this year, I'm excited to give it a shot and read lots of new books.

Hi, I am Kathy from Canada. I look at this challenge every year, and have used it to help pick some books I may not have otherwise read, but have never officially joined. I figured why not now? Better late than never eh. I read a lot of fantasy, graphic novels, and YA due to being a teacher. I also like listening to non-fiction audio books. Do audiobooks count for this challenge?

Hey! I am Batul from India. I recently joined this group a few days back. Like any other person here, I too am passionate about reading and reading is the best part of my day. I am excited to start participating in the challenge even though I’m a little late and I will definitely try to complete the challenge and read lots of new books.

Kathy wrote: "Hi, I am Kathy from Canada. I look at this challenge every year, and have used it to help pick some books I may not have otherwise read, but have never officially joined. Hey Everyone! I'm Ankita from Delhi, India. Currently doing my masters in Fashion Management.Have been reading since I was a kid. My mom instilled this beautiful habit in me. Started with Winnie the Pooh (lol :D)
Life long fan of crime/mystery novels.
Glad to be a part of this group. Looking forward to exchanging book recommendations with you lovelies. :)
Hello all! I'm JC from Chicago, Illinois! I got inspired to start this (albeit mid-year) because my mom has been doing the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge for a few years and I'm jealous of how much she manages to read because of it!
So, I figured I'd give a challenge a try and see if it reignites some of my reading fire. I studied English, so now sometimes I associate reading with just being work. I'm excited to pick new things I enjoy.
Hi everyone! I'm Alex and I'm in LA! I'm getting close to done with the Popsugar challenge regular prompts, but I still have Advanced and Summer to go. I run a bookstagram @whatalexreads, and I've created an Insta story template for the Popsugar challenge - it's in my Templates highlight. Feel free to use and share, and I can't wait to see all of your reading progress!

Hello! I am Heather and I am the USA. I have been on Goodreads for a while now and I am always interested in book suggestions. Cheers!

Hi everyone! I'm Maanasa and I'm from India. Stumbled upon this group and thought this would be the best way to get exposed to various genres, as I'm trying to be more experimental with my selection of books. I blog here - https://amusedobservance.wordpress.com/ Would love to get in touch and discuss books :) Cheers, guys!

Hey guys, new here...I've read a ton in 2020 but I haven't really been keeping track... I may go back and see if anything I've read can fit the prompts though.
Aside from that, I'm a knitter, artist and essential worker, since neither of the first two can really be used to support oneself, or their family. Or their cats...

I'm Whitney. I'm 27. I just finished my Master's degree in library science :) I've been trying to do one of these for a while, but I never seem to be able to finish it. So I'm going to make an actual go of it this year. I'm glad to see there's a group o keep me accountable :) Nice to meet y'all!
