I’ve spent he last 2 days figuring out I my books, and I also downloaded all the previous years challenges (I’m a little obsessive LOL) Thanks for letting me join!

message 1757: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 7 comments Hi, I'm Hannah and I live in Philadelphia, PA. I love to read a diverse assortment of books and hoping these prompts and suggestions from the group help achieve that goal. Also hoping to read quite a few off my own bookshelf this year as I'm normally a library addict.

Kat (kat_falkenroth) | 1 comments Hey everyone, I'm Katrin, 35, from Germany. I studied English and history, work in the travel industry, have a dog named Margo and obvs love to read (all genres really).

Looking forward to my first challenge :)

Bex's Bookshelves | Bookstagram | Book Reviewer (bexsbookshelevs) | 3 comments Hey guys!

I'm Rebecca. I am from the UK and I run my own book blog website where I mainly read YA but I do tend to dwindle in other genres.

I have always wanted to do this challenge and never had a chance. Looking forward to doing this in 2020

Chelsey (cswarnerwriter) | 2 comments Hi I am Chelsey, I live in New Jersey with my wonderful bibliophile fiancé (love being able to read with someone I love). message 1762: by Krissy (new)

Krissy (krissyreadings) | 2 comments Hi Im Kristine or Krissy. I reside in the outskirts of Toronto, Canada. I am self employed and have a lot of time to read and am excited to challenge myself in the coming year. This is my first time doing the Popsugar reading challenge. I usually do readathons dispersed through the year but I am so excited to try out this challenge in 2020

message 1763: by Kristen (new)

Kristen (kbennett529) | 1 comments Hi all! I'm Kristen, from Oklahoma. This will be my first attempt at this challenge. I usually have troubles "branching out" of my normal genres, so I'm hoping this will help me to read (and love) books that I normally wouldn't have.

message 1764: by Anna (new)

Anna (annaik) | 31 comments Hi! My name is Anna and I am going to try and do this challenge next year for the first time. I am from Sweden. This year I have been doing parts of the challenge in a Swedish version.

message 1765: by Jared (new)

Jared (jargus) Hi everyone! My name is Jared, 22 currently a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine but originally from Pennsylvania, USA. I'm on track to finish the 52 book challenge this year - tons of historical fiction, memoirs, and horror. Thought it would be neat to add some variety to my reading list for 2020.

message 1766: by Randi (last edited Nov 26, 2019 03:25PM) (new)

Randi Robinson (wvteddy) I'm a retired pharmacist, now a stay-at-home dog mom from St. Albans, West Virginia. I have always been a voracious reader and have participated in (too) many book challenges. My favorites are the Alphabet Soup challenges, Literary Escapes and Popsugar. This is my 3rd Popsugar Challenge-I didn't quite finish 2018 but I am almost done with 2019. I prefer mysteries and thrillers so this challenge gets me out of my comfort zone if I can't possibly find a mystery that fits the prompt.

message 1767: by Allison (new)

Allison Hi everyone! I'm Allie. I haven't done one of these before, but I thought it sounded like a great way to branch out more, and I'm really looking forward to trying it out!

Tanu (tanu_reads) | 115 comments Hi guys, I’m Tanvi from Australia! I’ve tried to do these challenges before and they’ve never quite stuck, but I’m hoping 2020 will be the charm!

I have done the Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge, and I was recently in a “The Floor is in Lava” challenge which really got me reading more, faster! I am in a good place where I want to read more, and challenges are the perfect inspiration for me. I am really looking forward to trying the Popsugar challenge for 2020!

message 1772: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 5 comments Hi All!
I'm Kelly from Florida, originally from Illinois. I am 26 and a mother to a beautiful 6 year old and wife to my handsome hubby!

I work in healthcare and am blessed to work from home. I've always loved to read but found that I haven't been reading as much and spending too much time with electronics. I started reading again and can't wait to continue with the 2020 reading challenge!

message 1775: by Heather (new)

Heather Lansdown (heatherlansdown) | 15 comments Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I always hear about this challenge but never do it. This year I decided to do something new and try it. I am a little OCD so For years I have always read the newest added book to my TBR list then the oldest added book and keep rotating like that through my list ( long TBR list). So I am going out of that comfort zone and trying the pop sugar challenge! I do have a question. If you hate the book you pick for the challenge do you just stop reading it? Does it count still? Thanks everyone!

message 1776: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 1756 comments Heather wrote: "If you hate the book you pick for the challenge do you just stop reading it? Does it count still?..."

Hi Heather, officially you should only count books you finish, but of course you can stop reading a book you don't like and find something else. However there are no challenge police, so if you feel you've read enough to count it, you can. If you're using the group's challenge widget it will only count books you mark as read.

message 1777: by Cathy C (new)

Cathy C | 11 comments If I don't like the book I chose, I return it and get another one. Life is too short to not enjoy each read.

message 1778: by Jan (new)

Jan (janwright) | 13 comments Hi everyone! I’m Jan, a retired Special Education assistant who lives in Texas. I never heard of this challenge until a few weeks ago and have already become obsessed with it. I have my books all planned out and am looking forward to starting. Is it ok to start before January 1st?

message 1779: by Jamie (new)

Jamie (httpswwwgoodreadscomuserjamie) | 6 comments Hi everyone, I’m Jamie. I live in Oklahoma with my Hubby and our two fur babies, ornery little sibling cats; they keep us laughing!
I’ve been a member of the PopSugar Facebook group for several months now, but this will be my first of their challenges.
My top 5 (currently) favorite reading genres are: Fantasy, Horror, Westerns, Sci-fi, and Thrillers. Really though, I read all over the place. My little inner bookworm-monster just can’t gobble up enough.
I’m trying to stick to my massive TBR as much as possible with this challenge. Even if I do finish the challenge, it won’t have whittled down my silly, massive list by much. Ha!

Jamie (httpswwwgoodreadscomuserjamie) | 6 comments Jan wrote: "Hi everyone! I’m Jan, a retired Special Education assistant who lives in Texas. I never heard of this challenge until a few weeks ago and have already become obsessed with it. I have my books all p..."

Hi Jan! Health issues have slowed my reading down a great deal so I’ve already started. I’m thinking I will be needing the entire year, plus the additional month & 1/2. I’ve seen others say the same(some are trying to plan around job demands, pregnancies, etc...).
The most important thing is the reading and enjoying yourself whilst doing it...so I say go for it and have fun!!

message 1781: by Julie (new)

Julie (julieleighann) Good morning from the east coast! My name is Julie and this is the first time ever for me participating in this challenge. I love connecting with other readers from all over. Currently, I live in Georgia and work at for a University Library.

I read a lot of fiction but I want to try out some new genres this year like sci-fi, poetry, graphic novels and memoirs.
I have set my goal on reading at least 52 books in 2020. For me a quite ambitious goal! :-)

Kara | 5 comments Hi, I'm Kara and I live in Ohio. This is my first year participating in this challenge and I'm so looking forward to it!! Not only do I want to get back into my first love of reading, but looking forward to meeting new people and developing friendships along the way. I'm an eclectic reader, as long as the book holds my interest - I'll read it!! LOL. I do love mysteries though - all types. My other interests are hiking and photography! Can't wait to get started on this challenge!!

message 1789: by Kyra (new)

Kyra | 9 comments Hello, all! My name is Kyra. I live in Northern California. I love, love, love to read and I find that challenges take me out of my comfort zone and get me reading different genres. I'm looking forward to seeing the different reading lists and hope everyone has a great time! Happy reading!

message 1790: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (snoopypanda) Hi, I'm Andrea and I live in Washington State, about 20 miles north of Seattle. I love Reading Challenges and have been doing them on Goodreads for several years. My husband encouraged me to read 100 books for 2019, but he passed away on January 14th. I didn't read for a while but then I decided that I really wanted to finish this challenge in his memory. I am now about to start my 100th book. My TBR list is insane and I honestly don't need to add any, but I'm going to forgo common sense and add titles anyway. That being said, I hope this isn't cheating or anything but I'm the kind of person who, if a book doesn't grab me and pull me in by the first chapter, I pretty much refuse to read the rest of it because of boredom. So even if I only read a few pages or chapters, I still consider it part of my challenge.
I'm trying to join more groups and I'm so glad I took the plunge several years ago and joined Goodreads. I know that my library is happy too!

message 1791: by Karin (new)

Karin | 6 comments Hello. My name is Karin. I live in the Netherlands. I love all types of books.

message 1792: by Glenda (new)

Glenda (glenda-r) Hello, fellow bookworms. My name is Glenda. On Twitter, I go by @simplypeachie48 and on Instagram as gricord48. I live with my husband and 2 furbabies in Phoenix, AZ.

This is my first major book challenge and while I am aiming to read books from all 50 prompts, I will be satisfied with less.

I love crime, mysteries, historical fiction, literary fiction and the recently added magical realism.

I really look forward to chatting and comparing ideas and thoughts with all of you.

message 1795: by Ellyn (new)

Ellyn (311yn) | 10 comments Hello! I'm a full time graduate student and a full time reading teacher at an inner city high school in Minnesota, USA. I have a thesis to finish this year, so I'm not sure how much of the challenge I'll be able to finish, but I'm going to do my best!

message 1796: by Haylithy (new)

Haylithy Danthan | 5 comments Greetings fellow readers,

I have been an avid reader my whole life, basically since I was a kid (I was a Ritalin kid so reading was super easy to get into). I have been reading my whole life, mostly novels, memoirs, and I’ve even been getting into self help books as I get older. Oh, my name is Haylithy, by the way.

I am excited for this 2020 reading challenge as I have always wanted to do something like this in my adult life. As kids, we had that neat summer reading challenge at the library where if you read a certain amount of books, you would get a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.

I’m not expecting a free personal pan pizza here (although that would be completely awesome), just looking to read some new books and start a new journey.

- Haylithy

message 1798: by Victoria (new)

Victoria | 21 comments Hi everyone! I'm Victoria! I'm 23 and a bridal stylist. I've done prompts from Popsugar in the past years but this year I'm committed to finishing off all the categories for the first time! I look forward to reading and discussing with everyone!

message 1799: by Nikki (new)

Nikki (whovianbookdragon) | 1 comments Hi all, I'm Nikki. I just found out about this challenge and have decided to give it a go. I did Book Riots Read Harder Challenge last year and I wanted to try this one and that one for 2020. I'm excited to participate and see what all of you are reading :)

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) | 10 comments My name is Lorrea(like Gloria without the G). I live in Maryland in a very small town outside of Washington, DC. This is the first time I will be doing the Pop Sugar Challenge. I have done the Reading Women Challenge and the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge. This one seems a little bit more feasible for me. I am a book blogger and receive a lot of advanced copies, which I have fallen behind on in the past few months. My goal for 2020 is to get that under control and a lot of the books I have fit in the prompts from this year.
