Paula Cristina Muñoz Torres | 0 comments Hello, there! My name is Pala, i am 21 yo and i am a edical student from Asturias, Spain.
I absolutely love reading and the experience of learning from books. Sadly, i don´t make enough time in my day to read as many books as i would love, as i have my studies as my main priority, but i try to incorporate a little bit of recreational/learning-for-fun reading whenever i can.
I will update mostly weekly, as long as i dont have exams or rotations at hospital.
I hope i can shre my bookish thoughts with you guys. Enjoy and have a productive week!

message 1706: by Dee (new)

Dee (jadzia_dax) | 18 comments Hi there, I'm Dee, from Manchester United Kingdom. I just spotted this challenge today and thought why not, I'm a wee bit addicted to challenges. I work in Higher Education. In my spare time when I'm not working I enjoy reading, swimming, Sci-fi, surfing the net and spending time with my family. My favourite genre are urban fantasy, paranormal romance and thrillers, challenges like these introduce me to genres I haven't tried before.

message 1707: by Sindhu (new)

Sindhu (sindhusbooks) | 1 comments Hi everyone! I'm Sini, from Bangalore, IN. I've been rather sucked into my work lately [I'm a language expert at an AI company] and not reading as many fiction books as I used to, so I thought I'd join this challenge to remedy that.

I love that area. I stayed in Kalispell while on a trip to Glacier.

message 1709: by Melisa (new)

Melisa Hi. I'm Melisa and I live in WI. I used to be an English and History teacher, but I decided that I needed a new job/career. I currently work for a company that makes medical products. I have always been a reader, but my previous career prevented me from doing a lot of reading that wasn't involved in grading essays. Now I have much more free time, and my time off is really my own. Naturally, I'm able to read much more. I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on, except for material that is explicit in sexual violence, so heavy bondage erotica is out. :-) I joined this group because I thought it would be interesting to attempt a reading scavenger hunt.

Besides reading, I also like hiking, biking, painting, drawing, camping, traveling, and cooking.

message 1711: by Kristine (new)

Kristine | 15 comments Hi I'm Kristine in Atlanta! I let life get in the way and my reading was a casualty....but making 2019 the year I get back to my first love! I hadn't heard of "challenges" before so this is awesome and fun. I've actually been working on this challenge since the beginning of the year but didn't know there was a group specific to the PopSugar one! I've actually checked off 13/50! Looking forward to connecting with others on what they are reading to check off more! =)

message 1712: by Pat (new)

Pat | 7 comments Hi Kristine last year was my first year with the challenge. It helped me branch out from my usual reads. I really enjoy finding books to fit the different prompts. Enjoy!!

message 1713: by 赤李谷 (new)

赤李谷 (joybeanz) | 13 comments Hello, I'm Joy from Australia, Melbourne. I've noticed most people on Goodreads are adults with plenty of time on their hands, well, I'm still in school and I love to read. Instead of homework, I usually find myself making time for books. This seemed like a fun challenge, so I thought, why not? I'm hoping to read all 50 books. Good luck to everyone else!

message 1714: by Tina (new)

Tina Hernandez (tlphernandez) | 13 comments Hello! 👋🏼 I’m Tina. This is my first Reading Challenge. Although, I’m not sure why I’ve gone so long without doing one. Especially since my ideal afternoon is with a book. 🖤 I’m pumped for all the possible books I’ll be discovering because of this!

message 1715: by [deleted user] (new)

Hello everyone! I'm Beth and I'm new to Goodreads as well as to this group. I've fumbled my way around the site well enough to find you, so I thought I'd try my hand at an introduction. (Helen Keller said, "Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all," so here I am trying new things...) I would LOVE to be able to read more, and am looking forward to all of your suggestions. I'm here to prove to myself that the world isn't all dirty dog beds and peanut butter kongs. There's a lot more to see! :)

message 1716: by Eszter (new)

Eszter (eszterjk) | 2 comments I'm Eszter - I just found this challenge and looks like a lot of fun. I'm from Oakville, Canada. I mostly read fantasy, but trying to branch out and hopefully this challenge will help me :D

message 1717: by Nicole (new)

Nicole | 8 comments Hello, my name is Nicole and I'm a college student from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I found this group while looking for reading challenges. I find that challenges encourage me to read more quickly. I've been reading mostly for school, but I listen to audiobooks often.

Betty Miller (bettymiller) | 8 comments Hi! I’m Betty. I love in the sunny Southern California desert and I am a life long avid reader, and a teacher of adult learners. I’ve decided to start this challenge to expand my reading horizons.

message 1721: by Jackie (last edited Jul 03, 2019 09:23PM) (new)

Jackie (goodreadscomrumbelle517) Hi, I'm Jackie. I just turned 30 two months ago. A friend of mine is doing this and I think having something like this to follow is a fun way to determine your reading. Reading through the list, I realize I have completed some of these already.

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) Hello there! I may have introduced myself already, but I'm trying to become more active. :) My name is Maggie, and I'm a librarian mom of two from Muskoka. I have loved books for as long as I can remember, and my day just isn't complete without reading a chapter or three! Besides devouring a good book, my hobbies include singing, hiking, writing, and baking. I don't have a favourite genre, but I do tend to finish novels with some family drama quicker. ;) I look forward to making new friends and getting some excellent recommendations.

SueAnn G_Organa (sapphiresuz) | 21 comments Hi! I'm a single mom of 2 (daughter - 19 & son - 17) in Eugene, Oregon USA.
So glad I stumbled upon this group! I'm an avid reader & am in a Facebook monthly book challenge that often has prompts that I search Goodreads lists high & low for books. This group has so many amazing ideas! I'm excited to dive in!

message 1724: by Lin (new)

Lin (linnola) | 47 comments Hello, I recently joined Goodreads. This is my first year doing the 52 ATY challenge and I’m almost complete. So I’m just starting Popsugar. My first pick from Popsugar is #42 – Choose-your-own-adventure book. Loved them as a kid, haven’t read one for adults yet. Happy Reading!

message 1725: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Tyman (freckledflamingo) Hey all! I am new to the group. I just started doing book challenges this year and kind of became obsessed with them. I follow too many challenges but love it when one book will check of several prompts. Struggling with one right now and can't for the life of me remember to which challenge it belongs. Thinking it will be a temporary DNF. Too many books to waste time on a snoozer.......

message 1726: by Ped (new)

Ped Req | 1 comments Hey! I'm Ped. New to digital or online book clubs. This appeals to me because I don't have a lot of time to read nor always make it to an actual meeting. Trying to incorporate at least 1 book a month in my busy life and be able to discuss the book. I hope to build up to completing challenges.

message 1727: by Ilham (new)

Ilham Alam (ilhamalam) | 38 comments Hi everyone! Just found out about the Popsugar Challenge & joining in late- woahhh boy I’m behind on the 2019 Challenge! I’m ILHAM and I’m from Canada. I am a mom of 3 (which includes a 20lb female furbaby/kitty named Beauty), loving wife to my most amazing & handsome hubby. Also a debut Children’s Author of Wonder Walk releases by Iguana Books earlier this year. Travelling, reading as many books as I can, writing and classical dancing. You can check my blog at www.storymummy.com. Look forward to connecting

message 1728: by Pepper (last edited Aug 22, 2019 08:19AM) (new)

Pepper | 18 comments Hi all, I’m Pepper, based in Oxford, UK. I started the challenge back in January - I’ve done different challenges in previous years (never one with this many books), and I was googling around for something with a good variety of prompts. Only recently found the GR group though.

I’m doing this one with a mix of new and re-reads, as I suspect I won’t finish if I do all new. So far I’ve most appreciated getting through some of my TBR, and trying out some new stuff I might not otherwise have found.

Alex of Yoe (alexandraofyoe) | 255 comments I didn't realize I'd already introduced myself. Good grief. That's how you know you're in too many groups

message 1730: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (sweettreads) | 7 comments I just found this group! I'm hoping that some of the books I've read already this year will count for some challenges. If not I have a lot to look forward to! My name is Teresa, I'll be 31 at the end of October and I've been reading since I was around 7 years old. I'm from Oregon and I love it here. I'm in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend of 6 years Josh. I recently lost my dog to cancer, so I'm really hoping that joining this group will help me coupe and give me something to do.

I mostly read YA fantasy and YA paranormal, as well as adult mysteries and thrillers. I dislike contemporary and romance. I have multiple chronic illnesses that can make it difficult for me to read, so audio-books have become my best friend. I have a booktube channel called sweet_t_reads and I'm super excited to be apart of this group! I can't promise I'll be very active, but I'll do my best to connect when I can!

I am delighted to welcome another T[h]eresa - even though you don't spell it correctly 😂😂

I too love mysteries and thrillers.

message 1732: by Leah (new)

Leah Still | 11 comments I've just joined too, though I've been doing the challenge all year (last year too!) It's a great way of finding books I haven't heard of before. I live in the UK, I'm a grandmother and retired from HR/law, so more time for reading! I'll read anything, including cornflake packets, but I enjoy mysteries and historical fact/fiction.

message 1733: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Christopher (kce74) | 2 comments Hi everyone. My name is Kyle. I'm a TV and movie junkie who is trying to spend much more of his time reading. I have had a difficult time getting started. It's so easy for me to just veg out after work and not want to use my brain anymore. I used to love reading as a "younger person", but somewhere along the way, I just stopped. Now, I don't read much, more out of habit than any lack of interest. So, I am looking forward to joining you all, as I once again look to consider myself a reader.

message 1734: by Kristine (new)

Kristine | 15 comments I completely understand Kyle - I did the same but made 2019 a priority for reading! Loving it! Welcome! ❤️📚😊

message 1735: by Patricia (new)

Patricia Alvord Hi everyone! My name is Patricia and I'm a newspaper reporter in Northern Michigan. I joined Goodreads in 2013 and joined this group last year, but never introduced myself. I've been checking the threads more frequently and wanted to introduce myself to everyone on here. During our busy season (which is May-October) I don't have a lot of time to read, but I'm hoping I can still keep up with the monthly reads and a book of my own. My goal this year is 24 books, right now I'm at six. Wish me luck and thanks for having me!

message 1736: by Latoya (new)

Latoya Hey readers!
Greetings from Jamaica! I'm here to see suggestions for the Popsugar Reading Challenge 2019. This is my first time participating in this challenge and I'm very excited! I started last month.

This is my third year participating in the POPSUGAR Reading Challenge, but my first on Goodreads. I have a blog called The Unapologetic Bookworm, where I review books and discuss a variety of literary topics. I'd love for you to check out my work at theunapologeticbookworm.com.

message 1739: by Talie (new)

Talie (talielovesbooks) | 12 comments Hi! I'm a reading addict living in Northern California. I've just recently discovered book groups on Facebook that ultimately led me here. I tried some sort of challenge a few years ago that was a dismal failure. This time around I've been doing book bingo for a few months so I'm excited for this new challenge.

message 1740: by Kate (new)

Kate | 35 comments Hello! I'm from Southern California and am looking to expand, not only my Good Reads experience, but my reading experience, too. I've always been a reader; it's my escape and my entertainment. I enjoy reading just about everything - it just depends on my mood.
Thanks, Therese, for the group invite!

message 1741: by Karin (last edited Nov 17, 2019 11:35AM) (new)

Karin Hi, I'm Karin and see I have 21 GR friends in this group. I can't remember if I have been in this group before or not. I took a break from this sort of reading challenge for a few years, but am thinking about doing it again, depending on just how strict I have to be. I have only been really active on GR since Shelfari was closed and so haven't always done this challenge here. I am waiting to see exactly how the list pans out and how freely I can read what I want when I want to, etc. I am much more rebellious about my reading at this juncture of my life.

While I have lived in 3 provinces, 4 states and one European country over my life, I've been living in New England since I got married. I still spell Canadian. I have 3 kids, two in college and one, well, it's a long story, but she has a B.Sc. in math at least (yes, Americans write B.S. but I tend to see that as a bunch of bs so stay Canadian on that).

Andrew Meltzer | 40 comments Hello actually did the reading challenge from 2018 and got 46 books in! I'm from Indianapolis and I did that reading challenge to reconnect with my love of reading and am looking forward to 2020.

Seher Hi all - I'm based in Singapore for the last 2 years and an avid reader! I only found out about the reading challenge recently and keen to take part once 2020 hits...I love literary & historical fiction, mysteries & thrillers, memoirs and a sprinkling of YA! This year I've been focused on reading more diversely and look forward to discovering new great reads!

message 1747: by Jen W. (new)

Jen W. (piratenami) | 517 comments Hi all, I'm Jen, a new member from the Seattle area in the USA. Outside of reading, I enjoy writing, video games, cooking, and various geeky fandoms.

I mostly read fantasy, science fiction, and some romance, but I've been trying to broaden my reading horizons recently. I haven't done one of these challenges before, but I've been watching some friends do these in another group and really want to try this out for 2020. I've already been diving in to the wonderful lists this groups has assembled to pick out ideas for my 2020 prompts!

message 1748: by Sydney (new)
