Lisa Shardlow (lisamshardlow) Hello! My name is Lisa, I'm 31 years old (32 next week) and I'm from the UK. I'm fairly new to Goodreads, been on it for about a year and a half so hadn't really heard of the Popsugar reading challenge until it was too late for me to start it this year. I really love reading and I read all kinds of different genres, so I'm looking forward to the challenge!

message 1452: by Ariel (new)

Ariel Lingel | 9 comments Greetings. I'm Ariel and I'm 26 and living in New Mexico. This will be my first year (officially) participating in a Popsugar Reading Challenge. My goal is to complete all 50 prompts in the coming year as well as clear out my overflowing bookshelf of books I have yet to read. I look forward to some of the group reads and researching the unique prompts.

Stephanie Wilcox (stephanie-wilcox96) | 2 comments Hi! I'm Stephanie, a 22 year old grad student in Ontario (Library and Information Science at University of Toronto, to be specific). This is my first Popsugar challenge, but I'm super excited to participate! Usually I just set a Goodreads number, but I thought I'd complicate things a bit by going for specific prompts. Here's to 2019!

Rossana (rosebud2052) | 2 comments Hi I'm Rossana and I live in small village just outside of Edinburgh in Scotland. Love ready prob read about 1/2hours on a weekday during my commute and if I'm feeling a bit down reading is my escape. Never done one these challenges ... I smashed my reading target this year and my 2019 goal is to read more classical so this adds something extra.

message 1461: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 2 comments Hi, I'm Rebecca! I live in the northeastern United States. I saw the challenge on twitter & thought it would be a fun thing to try, as well as a way too figure out which books on my tbr list I should tackle first : )

message 1462: by Holly (new)

Holly | 4 comments Hi! I’m Holly from Vancouver, WA USA. I’ve always loved reading and have set personal goals, but love the idea of different themes, so hoping this helps expand my reading. This past year I listened to more audiobooks instead of reading as it helped pass the time during commute to and from work. My commute has recently decreased, so my hope is to read more. Looking forward to conquering this list with you all!

Marie Tea | 15 comments Hello, I'm Jeanne and I live in sunny Arizona, near Sedona. I'm surrounded by the books that I love and collect. I mostly read fiction. Lately, I've also been reading fantasy. Themountainbookie Sarah wrote: "Hi! I'm Sarah. I live in Virginia (United States) with my husband, son, and cats. I love to read but it's fallen off in the last few years so I'm happy I heard about this reading challenge. I think..."

That's so awesome you husband is going to do it with you! I wish mine would. He's a much slower reader than I though and sticks to only certain books, mostly it seems to be fantasy. I like a challenge so this is really exciting to me.

message 1470: by Themountainbookie (new)

Themountainbookie HI I'm Sarah. I live in Montana and I am a stay at home mom to a one year old. I used to go through books really quickly, not because I was a fast reader but because I enjoyed the book so much. Lately it seems I'm in a rut. It takes me a long time to finish a book because frankly in 2018 only two of the books I read I really enjoyed (Radium Girls and Educated). Now it seems I'm scrolling through facebook with my extra time instead of reading... Horrible! I'm hoping this list will help in 2019 to find some good reads :)

message 1471: by Graceann (new)

Graceann (silentsgirl) | 11 comments Hi, all. I’m Graceann. Originally from Milwaukee, but now one of Ma’am’s subjects in the U.K. I don’t read 52 books a year anymore, but I try, and I love lists and ticking boxes, so this feels like a good place for me to be.

This is awesome Jenn!! I did a reading challenge with my girls this year. They are 6 ( just turned 7 last week) and 8. We used picture books for all 52 prompts and I made a GRs page for each of them to track. They had a personal GoodReads goal to read 100 books this year. They did it and we had a great time reading and snuggling and talking about books. They are loving reading so much more now!! Enjoy!

Not having been much of a reader in the past, I do want to pursue it now. Thus I am giving this a try. I am so glad you stated in the group rules that its OK for me to read just one book. Hopefully, it will be many more than than.

Anyway . . . . . here goes.
