I read around 60-75 books a year and read variety of genres; mystery, historical fiction and romance are my favorites but I also read fantasy and sci-fi.
I have never participated in a yearly reading challenge before but I always wanted to try one.
Pop Sugar Reading Challenge seems like one that I could put many books from my tbr as well as some new ones. Therefore, I think it is a really good mix.

Im stoked for the 2019 challenge. Its my first year and I am hoping that I can fit some of my 100+ books that I own and havent read yet into the categories. Killing two birds with one stone by both completing the challenge and whittling down my TBR pile.

I have seen this POPSUGAR reading challenge last year on LibraryThing and didn't really participate in it, but this year I have decided to give it a try. I found this group through PopSugar and decided to join.
I have participated in challenges before on GR and LT. I always have trouble trying to find books to fit some of the prompts, so I am hoping that this group will help me fill some of them.
I am doing a variety of challenges and want to try and fit books into more than one of the challenges/prompts. I have many books on my TBR shelf that I own and would love to get through this year.
Happy Reading All!!
I don't even remember if I've posted here yet... ;) My life's been kinda crazy lately. Well, this year. Well, honestly, for the past two years! :)
I have never before participated in this reading challenge or in any other challenge that is as large and far-reaching as this one. But...for 2019 I am attempting this as well as the ATY challenge. I definitely plan to read books that will fit multiple categories for BOTH challenges at once. I guess I want to do this because I LOVE making reading lists!! :) I will also continue to participate in Nonfiction November, the Classics Club challenge, and others along the way, I am sure.
If only I could locate an employer who would pay me and provide insurance just to stay home and read and blog reviews!! Ah...while that would be ideal, I suspect it will never happen! :)
Onward and upward! Happy reading to all and I truly appreciate the fact that this group as well as ATY has already blown my TBR listing even further out of reach in this lifetime!! :)

I used to be an voracious reader; never seen without a book in my hand. Lately it has been hit or miss, so i am excited about the challenge and getting back to my old habits.

Do we read these prompts in a specific order? Or in any order of our choosing?

I'm Lorna and I'm a Library Services Assistant in Avonmore, Ontario. I have to do a lot of reader's advisory so I'm participating in PopSugar's reading challenge for the second year to push me out of my comfort zone! This year I also plan on being more active in the group too :)

I am trying this challenge this year for the first time! The only one I'm really worried about is the new novel. Hopefully I will be able to get a new book.

Reading for challenges certainly broadened my reading selection. When I retired I was mostly reading books by a handful of authors. Now I have discovered lots of new authors, learned what cyber punk lit is (and while it still isn't my favorite genre, I have found some great stories there). Readers comments are very helpful in tracking down great readers for prompts.

I read pretty broadly among genres, but I especially love YA and Romance. Aside from the prompts, one of my goals this coming year is to make a dent in the unread books already sitting on my shelves.

Unfortunately, I don't have time to read as much as I would like, but I hope this challenge will help me find new amazing books.

One of my co-workers at the Library where I work mentioned this challenge and now I'm happily in the thick of it, color coded spreadsheet and all.
