I'm Marianne from France. As English is not my mother tongue and as I'm not use to speak or write in English, I hope I you may excuse my grammar mistakes !
I'm an ex librarian, hoping to be a bookseller very soon.

Hi Carol, I'm also in upstate NY. This lovely weather we're having is sure conducive to reading, since the outdoors is unappealing! Best, Julia (Saratoga Springs)

My goal is to read at least 20 books that aren't related to uni this year but ideally I'd like to complete the challenge. I'm looking forward to this group and having some recommendations on what else to read.

thanks for putting this goup togehter. A co-worker gave me the reading challenge, and I turn proposed it to my bookclub. The book club was game, we were just a little intimidated by the task to find book titles. It looks like this group will be essential to taking on the task - thanks everybody for posting the books you picked.
Katja from Michigan

I'm Tom, 39 as of this post, from Michigan. I won't bore everyone with the details but in January 2016 (2 years ago at the end of the month) I suffered a brain injury and was in a coma for 6 weeks. I've made amazing progress since then and I'm lucky in that reading counts as therapy (remembering what you read, who's who, etc) so they gives me an excuse to read. I've always loved to read but didn't have the time I do now. Before life did a 180 on me, I was a substitute teacher, and I always had a book in my bag. It's always been a passion of mine, and since I have more time for it now I'm hoping to complete the challenge this year. Done varying degrees on it before but I'm hoping to finish the whole list this year. Already finished my 1st book. I'll figure out where to post that when I'm done with this. I look forward to meeting people and if I left something out that you want to know, just ask. I don't bite.

I usually stay in the area of fantasy, sci-fi and horror, so I tried to keep my list away from these genres :)
Already found some great ideas in this group so thanks :D

I use to read all the time but stopped reading for fun when I started University, but last year I got back on track just too late in the year to attempt the last Pop Sugar Reading Challenge.
I can't seem to let go of Young Adult books so I'm hoping to expand into different genres in this challenge and discover some great books I wouldn't normally read.
Glad to be a part of this group and excited to get some recommendations!

Cheers!

Hi Julia! I'm a corgi mom too! We had two but lost one about 3 years ago. I also have a hard time planning out in advance. I just grab books that look interesting and hope they fit somewhere!

I'm hoping to get them all done this year though!

I'm taking the challenge as a commitment with myself, I can't wait to start. Already working on my list..
Good luck to everyone!

I am a retired teacher. My life changed greatly this year. My daughter died this summer and I now have custody of her 13 yr old twins. Life is busy, but I always make room for reading. I finished the other two challenges but it may be a little tougher this year. I'll do my best and enjoy it along the way

I knit and crochet too! I usually do it while "watching tv" but audio books would be interesting. Thanks for the idea!

I'm Catherine, from Nelson, New Zealand and this is my first year doing the PopSugar challenge, so I'm super pumped to get into it.
I love a bit of routine, so I've decided I'm going to do the prompts in order. Since the aim of the game is to branch out a bit and get out of the rut of reading the same stuff over and over, doing them in order will stop me picking and choosing prompts I know I can fill easily.
I'm also not making a plan - I'm going to take each prompt as it comes and decide right before I read. This way I'm not limiting myself to books I already know about, and I can take on anything new and interesting that pops up.
So far I've read the first 3 prompts, starting on the 4th tonight:
1: Gone Girl (movie I've already seen)
2: Murder in Mississippi (true crime)
3: Jack Reacher 17 (next in a series).
I'm starting Six of Crows tonight for my heist book. No idea what its about, it was just recommended by a few on FB.
Would love to make new friends also doing the challenge!

Good luck to everyone!

My name is Jenni, someone shared a link to this group in a Facebook Book group I'm a member of, and I thought I'd join in.
I'm doing the challenge alongside another challenge that has a lot of crossover, and if I hit 50 books this year alongside attempting to finish my degree and working, I'll be really pleased.
I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone gets along, and what books people recommend once they've finished them.

Oh, and my name is Storm.
