Sonali Ekka | 86 comments Hello people! I am Sonali. I am from Mumbai (India). I have a huge stash of books I'm yet to read so I thought I might as well join a reading challenge in case it syncs with my reading. Looking forward to completing this year's challenge.

Shreeya (raindropsinreverie) Hi there everyone! I am Shreeya and I am an 18 year old from New Delhi, India. I found this challenge on Pinterest and am super excited about it! This is my first Popsugar challenge and I am looking forward to starting it. I read 50 books in 2017 so I really hope I will be able to complete this challenge.
2018 is only a few hours away and I am ready to begin!!
Happy New Year people! <3

Richelle | 28 comments Hi! My name is Richelle and I'm 31 from New Zealand. I want to challenge myself and read some books I haven't read before. I set a goal last year to read 50 books and went over it so hopefully I can do it again! I have just organised what books I want to read this year, a mixture of physical and electronic books, the only challenge will be the book in 2018, not sure what it is yet. Can't wait to read with all of you!

Richelle | 28 comments Greta wrote: "Hi everyone - I was once an avid reader but as life has taken it's course I find myself having less and less time for reading. I think I found out about this challenge at the right time - 2018 will..." Hi Greta I'm in NZ too. Can't wait to see what books you are going to be reading this year!

Richelle | 28 comments Emma Sea wrote: "Hi all, I'm Emma from Palmerston North, New Zealand. I failed to complete the 2016 and 2017 challenges, but 2018 is going to be the year I make it!"
Hi Emma! You are so going to be able to do it!!

message 956: by Pia (new)

Pia (merenhenki) Hi everyone! I'm Pia, from Finland, and very excited to take part in 2018's challenge. I learned about Popsugar Reading Challenge quite late this year so I wasn't able to participate in 2017's challenge. But, now I'm going to get into this!

message 957: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly | 24 comments Hi everyone! My name is Kimberly, and this is my first time joining the challenge! I live just outside Washington, DC, and am looking to diversify my reading! This challenge seems like just the thing!!! I hope to complete all 50 prompts.

message 958: by Jackie (new)

Jackie | 1 comments Hello. I'm Jackie and I live in Sussex in the UK. Last year was my worst year in a long time reading wise with only 25 books read. In my defence, I also write and find it hard to find the time for both. Love the idea of this challenge, I've picked out 6 books to start with and I'm hoping to do the extra 10 as well.

message 959: by Pamela (new)

Pamela (pwminmi) | 14 comments Hi, I’m Pamela, 49, from Michigan-Metro Detroit. This looks like fun! I love reading and have completed other types of reading challenges and really enjoyed it. I’ve recently pushed myself to try new genres, which was great. Looking forward to expanding my horizons.

message 960: by Sherma (new)

Sherma (sdwc) | 3 comments Hi, Everyone. I'm Sherma from Bermuda. I'm looking forward to this year's challenge. I have a sizeable TBR pile, but I'm looking forward to discovering new genres and titles. It's completely doubtful that I'll reach 50--slow reader, a writer--but I'll give it a good effort!

message 961: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Salazar | 9 comments Howdy. I'm excited about trying this. I've just done number goals in the past, so this should be fun!

message 962: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi everyone! I'm Daphne, I'm a Dutch college student. Basically I decided to do this challenge because during the first few years of my college life I hadn't had much time to read, but now that I have again I realise that I don't like the types of books that I used to like back in high school, and I hope that this challenge will help me rediscover which types of books I like!

message 963: by Alaina (new)

Alaina Martin (alainarose) Hey there! I'm Alaina from Maine, USA. I'm totally going to use this winter to do tons of reading. 2017 was the year that I got back into reading again. I read 20 books and I'm hoping to double that next year if I can. This is my first time attempting this challenge. I doubt I will get to all 50, but I am going for it anyway!

message 964: by Lori (new)

Lori S (LoriS-goodreadscomuser_name) | 1 comments Howdy! I am Lori from Texas, USA. I am excited to try the 2018 challange. I have read all my life, but seem to get into a genre for a while, and then I read another type for a while. I was intrigued on trying to find books that fit the different challange #'s, hoping to find new books that I never would have tried. I am a H.S. Mathematics teacher and a Department chair, over 22 teachers. However, my goal for 2018 is to take more "me" time, and I hope that this will help me achieve that!

message 965: by Morgan (new)

Morgan | 1 comments Hello! I’m Morgan, a millennial from Minnesota (#alliteration). I’m a Language Arts teacher facing my own challenge of inspiring young reluctant readers to become life-long readers. I try to lead by example and teach how to balance and connect reading with life. I managed 30 books in 2017. I’m excited to officially try the 2018 PopSugar challenge and pursue books that are outside my comfort zone. 50 books? Challenge accepted!

message 966: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Wade | 1 comments Hello everyone...I am Michelle, from DC. I'm a college professor and therefore my reading tends to be academic in nature. This year I wanted to challenge myself to get out of the Netflix binging in the down time and get back in to reading and other new things. I am excited by this list of book prompts.

message 967: by Richel (new)

Richel | 1 comments Hello, My name is Richel and I'm from Ethiopia. I used to read a lot but haven't done much this year because of school and college applications. I know it's no excuse. but since i'm mostly done with everything now, I hope to get a lot more reading done this year. Here's to hoping i finish all 50 books this year. Happy New Year everyone.

message 968: by Debbie (new)

Debbie Winn Smith (debbiewinnsmith) Hello All. Debbie from Concord NC. A friend posted about this reading challenge. I've been stuck in a rut tending to read a lot of the same style of book. This will give me the opportunity to reach outside of my box. Looking forward to it.

message 969: by Carol (new)

Carol Hi, Carol from Vermont, I have "unofficially" worked on the challenge for the past 2 years, and thought I would join the group to hopefully hold myself accountable. I listen to a great deal of books on audio as I have a long commute to work. I get most of my actual reading done in the summer while I am relaxing at a camp site. I am looking forward to the challenge. Happy New Year to one and all.

message 970: by Alice (new)

Alice | 21 comments Hi, I'm Alice from the UK. This will be my first time doing the challenge, I'm looking forward to discovering some new books :)

message 971: by Danielle Spain (last edited Dec 31, 2017 02:39PM) (new)

Danielle Spain | 8 comments Hello! My name is Danielle. I'm a 27 year old teacher living in Illinois. I've always loved to read but this year I found myself continuously unsure of what I was going to read next. I pretty much only read Romance and YA and I felt like I had exhausted all my good options in those categories. So when I found out about this challenge, I was so excited! I'm looking forward to exploring new genres and authors through this challenge and am hoping to keep up the book/week pace in order to read 52 books this year! This is my first time ever doing a book challenge, and I have to admit I've been giddy the last two days poring through everyone's book recommendations for each category. Looking forward to being a member of this group!

message 972: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (imbeni84) | 3 comments Hi! I'm Heidi, high school special education teacher from NC. I started one of these a few years ago, but quickly got off track. I figured being part of a group may would help. I'm also doing the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge, so I'm hoping to knock off books from both lists simultaneously.

message 973: by Booksaholic (new)

Booksaholic LLC (booksaholicllc) Hello Everyone, I am La’Nita a avid reader. I’m a New Orleans native and a mother of two young adult children. This will be a great start to expanding my reading list. My first time joining and learning about this group. Thanks for having me.

message 974: by Ananya (new)

Ananya (ananyadsz) Hi everyone, I'm Ananya. One of my friends suggested this challenge to me and it seemed like the best way to expand the types of books I read on a regular basis! Super excited to make my list and check them off.

message 975: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (srcolvin) | 23 comments Hi, I'm Shannon from Georgia. I am a part-time Art teacher who loves to read. This is the first reading challenge in which I've participated. It sounded like a fun way to "stretch" my reading.

message 976: by Danielle (new)

Danielle | 15 comments Hello everyone! My name is Danielle. Im originally from the Seattle area, but I am now living in Utah. I found this challenge on Pinterest and I’m really excited to get started! This will be my first book challenge. Since finishing college a little over a year ago I’ve had some more spare time that I would like to fill with reading. I think 50 books might be a lofty goal, but I’m going to give it a try! Happy new year everyone!

message 977: by Anita (new)

Anita Hi, I'm Anita and I'm from Tasmania, Australia. While my Goodreads profile doesn't look impressive, I read a few hundred books a year (not including what I have to read for study).

I'm looking forward to getting out of my comfort zone with this challenge - it's one of my goals this year. I want to complete all 50 but I'll be happy with the main 40.

message 978: by Coleen (new)

Coleen (gidget0205) | 2 comments Happy New Year to those here on the East Coast (NY). Finished my list right at 11:30 just in time to watch the ball drop along with the temperature!

Cannot wait to start the challenge, and a whole new year of reading!

Happy, and Healthy New Year - and Happy Reading!!!

message 980: by Amy (new)

Amy | 44 comments Happy New Year! I'm Amy, an English Teacher from Danbury, CT. I have a teenage daughter and am excited to participate in this challenge for the first time. I tend to love YA since that is the chosen genre of my "clientele," but I read everything and enjoy the bookish talk that this kind of group brings.

message 981: by Marlies (new)

Marlies | 5 comments Hello Everyone, I'm Marlies, 25 year old from the Netherlands. One of my intentions for this year is to read more. Next to my work as a fieldhockey coach, I'm finishing law school. Where a lot of reading is required. As a result, after a long day at uni and coaching I turn to netflix instead of a book. This year, less Netflix and more books for me!! I hope this challenge and group will encourage me to commit to my intention. :) And also read more books out of my comfortzone.

message 982: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra Auream (larryspellslove) Hello, everyone! I'm Cassidy, I'm 20, and I'm from Elkhart, Indiana. I decided to take this challenge partly because a friend who is also taking this challenge recommended it to me, and partly because I haven't done as much reading as I would have liked since starting college in 2016.

Happy New Year, everyone, and I wish you all the best of luck with your goals!

Marcy Reads on IG (marcyreads) | 0 comments Hi everyone 😁 my name is Marcela and I’m so excited to be doing this reading challenge, can’t believe I didn’t know about this until a couple of weeks ago when I joined! Looking forward to meeting some new reading buddies.

message 984: by Amy (new)

Amy | 44 comments Wow, Marlies, that’s a huge workload. Netflix IS addictive and I’ve tried hard to limit it this year, too.

Ironically, I’m finding MORE time to read this year because I’m always driving around to/from my daughter’s field hockey practice, games...
Audiobooks are my new friends!

Elisabeth | 14 comments Hi! I'm Elisabeth and I live just outside Boston, MA (USA). One of my friends mentioned she was doing this challenge and I thought it sounded like fun. There's a couple of books on my TBR list that will align with some of these prompts perfectly. I'm looking forward to diversifying my reading.

message 989: by Asita (new)

Asita Hey! I'm Asita and I'm from India. I found out about this challenge through a friend and I wanted to try because I haven't read a lot of books this past year due to school and youtube... It seems like a great way to get back into reading :D

message 996: by Kristen (new)

Kristen (tastywhalebacon) Hello everyone! My name is Kristen and I live in Arizona with my husband and cats. I'm currently in a book club at my local library, and I love it. It gets me out of my comfort zone and reading new things. (I usually stick to thriller/horror). I'm attempting to do this challenge for the new year. I want to read at least 15 books this year, but plan on crushing that goal and reading way more. I got lots of books for Christmas and can't wait to read them, as well as the backlog of books I have on my Kindle.

message 997: by Kirsty ❤️ (new)

Kirsty ❤️ (kirk72) | 2 comments H all, I'm Kirsty from Leeds, England. I have done the challenge a couple of times but missed last years so I'm looking forward to trying again. This is the first time I've seen this group so looking forward to chatting to people as well as reading :)

message 998: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Andersen (jessmary) | 16 comments Hi, I'm Jessica from Miami and I recently learned about this challenge. I've previously only done the Goodreads goal. I one time set a challenge for myself to read female scifi fantasy authors and I've tried setting other mini goals, like reading more diverse authors. The list for this year looks pretty interesting!

message 999: by Nessa (new)

Nessa (ibnessa) | 1 comments Hello!!! I'm Nessa from Tampa, Florida. I'm an avid reader, I found out about this group when I googled reading challenges for 2018 and decided to give it a try. I typically read in the romance genre, but would love to expand to other areas. I'm a speed-reader, as well a Beta and ARCer for quite a few authors. I look forward to this challenge.

message 1000: by LemonMarch (new)

LemonMarch (selkhet7) Hi Everyone, I'm from Maryland and this is my first time doing this particular challenge. Each year I set a goal of reading 100 books, so for 2018 I plan to read at least half of the books from my list for the Popsugar challenge as part of my 100 books goal.
