Welcome members! Introductions...

Shout out to my fellow Pacific Northwesterner, Serena! How about this winter we're having? I live in the Tri-Cities in eastern WA!"
Hi Kirsten! This winter is making me nervous...Portland shuts down in the snow, since we don't get it much and therefore don't have the infrastructure to deal with it. I'm nervous about when I start working and have to commute in it, if these storms keep up!
I went to Wazzu for six years...I miss eastern Washington a bit!

I attended Holy Cross College and the University of Ceylon in Sri Lanka. I am also a Chartered Accountant.
As a Chartered Accountant, I worked extensively in Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
In Zimbabwe I also turned Horticulturist and grew roses, for export to Europe, in a metal, plastic-covered greenhouse of extent one full hectare!
I was also a Lawn Bowls player and took part in Zimbabwe National Bowls Tournaments.
I read quite a lot and my authors include Anthony Trollope, Jane Austen and Agatha Christie. I am also an author and have written novels based in Sri Lanka.

There is a list specific to 2017. It has 40 categories and then there are 12 categories in an advanced list. Some are doing just the 40, some doing just the 12 but I think most of us are doing all 52. You can find the lists under the general folder. Let me know if you need any other help.

I found this challenge on Book Riot's website and thought it was a great way to incorporate different genres as well as popular fiction, which I tend to read more often. I have amassed just under 1,000 books on my Kindle in 5 years and have 3 bookshelves at home full of unread delights, so it is always hard to decide what to read next. I hope this challenge in addition to the Goodreads goal and Book Riot challenge will help me make a dent in the TBR pile!

This is my third year doing the Popsugar Reading Challenge, tho this is the first time I've encountered this group. Oops?
I love reading fantasy and retelling. Sci-Fi and Dystopia are my second read genre. Contemporary, not so much. Please don't let me read horror/thriller/suspense, especially the Stephen King kind, I can't.

I'm currently trying to read all of the Stephen King books, primarily all of the books related to the Dark Tower series before the movie comes out so I will try to incorporate those books to this challenge. This is my first time doing this challenge, and my Goodreads goal is to read 20 books, but I would really like to get all 40 (or 52). Hopefully this challenge inspires me to read a lot more than the past few years!

I'm currently trying to read all ..."
I work at an accounting firm too so I'm fimiliar with your term of "busy season". Good luck!

I'm currently living overseas, which makes library visits depressing (very few English books and NO NEW RELEASES) so I'm dependent on Ebooks and buying books at full price :(
Glad to be here and I'm off to a good start...I

My name is Alice and I'm a 23 girl from Milano, Italy. I really love reading and I've started to follow Popsugar reading challenge since I found it on internet in 2015 thanks to a friend.
In the past two years I didn't manage to complete the challenge (50 books in a year it's really a lot for me, considering the fact that I'm a university student and I have so many books to study too!), but I increased the number of books read in an year and that made me proud of myself.
This year too I've decided to accept the challenge, hoping to increase my 2016 record.
I really like the idea of being part of this group because I'm sure I will find many useful and interesting suggestions or ideas to make this challenge even more stimulating!

My biggest objective this year is, as it is every year, to get my TBR list down and my "read" list up. This doesn't really ever seem to work out, but that's the plan. I use these challenges to help give my constant "Hm, what do I read next?" question some structure. I'm also in a book club which helps as well, but I feel like at this point I need all the help I can get! Looking forward to seeing what everyone reads and how you like it!

I am a really angry person if I am not able to read, my family has just accepted it and give me space to do so. I also get very anxious if I can't find a book I want to read or if there is too much downtime between books (like I'm suffocating). Does that happen to anyone else? And I just discovered audiobooks! I don't even have to stop reading to drive somewhere! I have been honked at before at stoplights with my head in novels. Much safer this way but does take longer to read.

I recently have been "double dared" by my granddaughter, Morgan, to take up this challenge and I have accepted her "DD". I am an avid reader, a member of the Silicon Valley Bookworms, and a tried and true Goodreads member. Looking forward to this challenge!

Recently realised that I miss reading the way I did when I was younger; I'd go through a fiction book in a day or two. Alas, life (and being an adult with a job) got in the way of that.
I set myself the New Years challenge to read more and found the Popsugar Challenge online.
Mostly I read (when I can) Sci-fi/Fantasy, Classics, paranormal, history and whatever genre Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett fall into on any given week.
Looking forward to some interesting conversations :)

Looking forward to this challenge!

BTW! I have blog, it's where I keep tabs on my reading challenge as well. Do care to drop by, it's acciolibri.wordpress.com
Thanks!

This will be my second year doing the reading challenge. Almost made it last year but hopefully with all you guys suggestions I will finish this year. Hugs!

I'm retired and read all day, play tournament Scrabble and knit for charity.
Look forward to this year's variety and contact!

I realized this week I'd skipped this part. My name is Lynette, and I am from a small town in southeast Ohio, where I teach Third Grade.
I am obviously an avid reader, and I never really have a hard time finding books to read. Our local library always does a summer reading program. A few summers ago, they did a reading challenge dealing with reading books from different genres, and I really enjoyed it. As a New Year's goal, I thought it would be neat to do that again, but for the whole year. I did some research, and I stumbled across this challenge and was sold.

I've never done one of these challenges before but am really liking forward to it. A great way of thinking about reading different things.

My name is Inês and I'm a 23 year old student from Coimbra, Portugal. I lived this past year in Czech Republic but now I'm back home and trying to get back into reading a lot. I'm in the fifth year of Medicine, which means I have A LOT to study, therefore reading is an awesome escape for me. I hope you all have an amazing year!
