Brenda - Reducing my OWNED TBR in 2015

[Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen]

I have decided to read as many (if not all) of the PAPER books I own as my personal challenge for 2015. This will be the books that are on my personal bookshelves as at 31st December, 2014.

As I have 64 by Aussie authors plus 157 by International authors here begging to be read, I think this challenge will quite easily take the full year!

Plus this won't include any that I buy/win/otherwise acquire in 2015 OR my (very) large kindle library:) (That'll be for a challenge for the future;))

Of course I'll still have ARCs to read, plus author read for reviews - so - WISH ME LUCK;)

That's a great challenge Brenda and for you very doable. I agree with Carolyn, it's all the new ones to come but doing it the way you are is a good idea. I think I will do something similar for our Aussie Author 2015 challenge. Pick the books according to what's on my bookshelves at home.

I actually really like having a huge TBR shelf. It means I have a read for every mood and every occasion and I don't have to bother about when something has to be returned etc. I can read at my own pace, which- with a busy life like mine- is a godsend.

I am doing a couple of challenges of my own nxt year, too. I don't think I'm going to make my Goodreads challenge this year. I am behind and only have a couple of weeks to go of 2014.

wow Brenda!! Ive just given most of my read books away to my sister, I think I kept a couple of favourites, so everything left on my shelves is unread - haven't counted them lately but maybe 150 or so. I have about 40 on my Kindle. Am mostly only buying ebooks now.

I have a few books on my TBR shelf like that. Some of them I suspect I'll never read, because my tastes have changed. I really need to sit down with a critical eye and rehome those books, so someone else can enjoy them!
